Norfolk /ˈnɔːrfək/ is a county in East Anglia. It borders Lincolnshire to the west and north-west, Cambridgeshire to the west and southwest, and Suffolk to the south. Its northern and eastern boundaries are the North Sea and, to the north-west, The Wash. The county town is Norwich.
With an area of 2,074 square miles and a population of 859,400, Norfolk is a largely rural county with a population density of 401 per square mile. Forty per cent of the county's population live in four major built up areas: Norwich (213,000), Great Yarmouth (63,000), King's Lynn (46,000) and Thetford (25,000).
The Broads is a network of rivers and lakes on the county's east coast, extending south into Suffolk. The area is a National Park and is protected by the Broads Authority.
Norfolk was settled in pre-Roman times, with camps along the higher land in the west where flints could be quarried. A Brythonic tribe, the Iceni, inhabited the county from the 1st century BC to the end of the 1st century AD. The Iceni revolted against the Roman invasion in 47 AD, and again in 60 AD led by Boudica. The crushing of the second rebellion opened the county to the Romans. During the Roman era in Norfolk roads and ports were constructed throughout the county and farming took place widely.
England i/ˈɪŋɡlənd/ is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west. The Irish Sea lies northwest of England and the Celtic Sea lies to the southwest. England is separated from continental Europe by the North Sea to the east and the English Channel to the south. The country covers much of the central and southern part of the island of Great Britain, which lies in the North Atlantic; and includes over 100 smaller islands such as the Isles of Scilly, and the Isle of Wight.
The area now called England was first inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Palaeolithic period, but takes its name from the Angles, one of the Germanic tribes who settled during the 5th and 6th centuries. England became a unified state in the 10th century, and since the Age of Discovery, which began during the 15th century, has had a significant cultural and legal impact on the wider world. The English language, the Anglican Church, and English law – the basis for the common law legal systems of many other countries around the world – developed in England, and the country's parliamentary system of government has been widely adopted by other nations. The Industrial Revolution began in 18th-century England, transforming its society into the world's first industrialised nation.

Norfolk has more than 90 miles of superb coast and beaches, with huge expanses of pristine sand, tidal creeks and saltmarshes, towering cliffs, quaint quays and harbours, shingle spits, and family-friendly seaside resorts. You can build sandcastles, go rockpooling or crabbing, go for a swim, take a boat trip to see the seals, spot rare or migrating birds, walk your dog, or just hire a beach hut, kick back and relax. And coast means seafood too… tasty crabs, tender lobsters, juicy fat mussels, mouth-watering oysters and fabulous fish.

Footage of a thunderstorm wave that tracked north from Spain & France overnight, arriving in Norfolk in the early hours of 19 July 2017. First filmed in the back garden in Norwich at 2:30am before taking a sun-rise drive to Great Yarmouth for the main, horribly rain-wrapped storm. Dash cam footage from the route and coverage from the promenade itself.
2 UFO's sighted by myself at 10am on 5th March 2014. The RAF & British army seemed quite interested in these unexplained lights that I observed for an hour from Griston, Norfolk. I estimate that the objects were situated somewhere over the Thetford Forest area. Apologies for the lack of definition. It was filmed on my iPhone & some resolution has been lost during editing, but the the still shots are quite clear. Please leave your comments.

First UK Weather balloon launch for Positive Internet (POSIUK1) The weather conditions meant that to avoid landing in the sea we needed to over fill the balloon for a more rapid ascent and lower burst height. The 800g balloon with 1Kg payload still reached over 22Km and the footage was pretty good. This balloon had an RTTY transmitter (using a habduino) and was tracked by radio and balloon enthusiasts all around the UK, Netherlands, France and even apparently Poland. The payload was heavy as it carried 2 cameras, an android phone, the habduino, a GPS tracker, batteries and handwarmers. Thanks to habhub.org and #highalititude for assistance, tracking and data. At some point a blog will appear somewhere with more details of all this. Data overlay thanks to dashware (we need a GPL / Linux...
