HELLO SWEETIE SUBS :D Help me by supporting my art with only 1$ on Patreon http://www.patreon.com/sakuems COMMISSIONS PRICES http://sakuems.deviantart.com/art/Commissions-Infos-489771479 This video is part of the Duo of Artworks i did today to showcase the difference between the 2 kinds of markers you can find. the standard graph'it marker has a bullet nib and a broad nib. this artwork and this video was done with a standard marker and no brush nib. You don't need a brush pen to make cool art and shading ! However, it's a little bit harder to blend sometimes, specially for details. But it also depends on the colors you have and how much room on the paper you have as well. This time i actually didn't have enough color to do the hair so it's not as good as i want it to be but it's still possible to blend with no brush nib. I used the 36 markers pack of graph'it markers + a few extra colors of the same brand (3 or 5 i can't remember) I still like this character but i think i'm gonna work on it a bit more with the brush nib to smooth out a few things and add more colors. I think it's still good and it prooves that you don't NEED a brush pen to make something nice, but it's surely a bit easier to use a brush marker if you want this kinda of coloring style. The standard pen with broad/bullet nib is more efficicient for cell shading artwork and design or concept art than for smooth coloring illustration, so if you are searching for a good design/rough coloring style, you can totally use a non-brush pen like those or any similar brand :) I hope you liked the artwork !
