High level officials in both Japan and China have been negotiating to establish a meeting between the duly elected leader of Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and the gangster dictator of China Xi Jinping. Mr. Abe a member of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party, and Xi Jinping a member of China’s Communist Party.
Before such a meeting can take place the Chinese are insisting Prime Minister Abe of Japan no longer visit the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, Japan. Huh? Is Japan a vassal state of China’s that the Chinese can dictate to Mr. Abe where he cannot go within his own country? Answer: Of course not, the Communist in China are nuts and behaving like the bullies that they are.
The Chinese object to the Yasukuni Shrine because out of the two and one-half million spirits enshrined there since the 1860 of those who served Japan, fourteen are classified as “class A war criminals. This classification was designated as a result of the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal (International Military Tribunal for the Far East - IMTFE or Tokyo Trials).
After reading who these men were and their official capacities during and before the war one would think this classification is rather dubious. Please see the link below listing the 14 and note, it is a Chinese website.
This absurd demand by the Chinese should be replied with one of two ways:
1 - DROP DEAD. What kind of a nut would think they can dictate to the duly elected executive of a sovereign nation where they cannot go in their own country? However Prime Minster Abe being the consummate diplomat that he is would never utter such a rude statement.
Mr. Abe is absolutely brilliant in his foreign policy initiatives. Future text books written on diplomacy should explore case studies of his diplomatic maneuvering on behalf of Japan.
2 - Since Japan has made no preconditions to the proposed meeting, perhaps a counter to the Yasukuni Shrine vilification should be a demand that Chairman Mao Zedong’s portrait on in Tiananmen Square be removed.
So the so-called fourteen “class A” war criminal are to be abused, what they are accused of does not surpass Mao’s murder of over thirty million of his own countrymen many through mass starvation. Chairman Mao (“MM” - Murderous Mao) initiated the Cultural Revolution in China from 1966 through 1976. Resulting in one and a half million murdered, and millions of others sent off to re-education camps, and lives ruined. Dump the bum then perhaps talk about the Yasukuni Shrine (the “bum” being Mao). Mao is also responsible for the Korean Peninsula being divided today.

Vassal States were a number of tributary or vassal states, usually on the periphery of the Ottoman Empire under suzerainty of the Porte, over which direct control was not established, for various reasons.
Some of these states served as buffer states between the Ottomans and Christianity in Europe or Shi'ism in Asia. Their number varied over time but notable were the Khanate of Crimea, Wallachia, Moldavia, Transylvania. Other states such as Bulgaria, the Eastern Hungarian Kingdom, the Serbian Despotate, and the Bosnia were vassals before being absorbed entirely or partially into the Empire. Still others had commercial value such as Imeretia, Mingrelia, Chios, the Duchy of Naxos, and the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik). Areas such as holy cities and Venetian tributary areas of Cyprus and Zante were not fully incorporated either. Finally, some small areas such as Montenegro/Zeta and Mount Lebanon did not merit the effort of conquest and were not fully subordinated to the center. The Principality of Serbia again became a tributary in 1817, after being so in the 15th century prior to the fall of Smederevo and its annexation to the Ottoman Empire.
Forms
Some states within the eyalet system included sancakbeys who were local to their sanjak or who inherited their position (e.g., Samtskhe, some Kurdish sanjaks), areas that were permitted to elect their own leaders (e.g., areas of Albania, Epirus, and Morea (Mani Peninsula was nominally a part of Aegean Islands Province but Maniot beys were tributary vassals of the Porte.)), or de facto independent eyalets (e.g., the Barbaresque 'regencies' Algiers, Tunis, Tripolitania in the Maghreb, and later the Khedivate of Egypt).
Outside the eyalet system were states such as Moldavia, Wallachia and Transylvania which paid tribute to the Ottomans and over which the Porte had the right to nominate or depose the ruler, garrison rights, and foreign policy control. They were considered by the Otomans as part of Dar al-'Ahd, thus they were allowed to preserve their self-rule, and were not under Islamic law, like the empire proper; Ottoman subjects, or Muslims for that matter, were not allowed to settle the land permanently or to build mosques.
Some states such as Ragusa paid tribute for the entirety of their territory and recognized Ottoman suzerainty.
Others such as the sharif of Mecca recognized Ottoman suzerainty but were subsidized by the Porte.
There were also secondary vassals such as the Nogai Horde and the Circassians who were (at least nominally) vassals of the khans of Crimea, or some Berbers and Arabs who paid tribute to the North African beylerbeyis, who were in turn Ottoman vassals themselves.
Other states paid tribute for possessions that were legally bound to the Ottoman Empire but not possessed by the Ottomans such as the Habsburgs for parts of Royal Hungary or Venice for Zante.
Other tribute from foreign powers included a kind of "protection money" sometimes called a horde tax (similar to the Danegeld) paid by Russia or the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It was usually paid to the Ottoman vassal khans of Crimea rather than to the Ottoman sultan directly.

Vassal state
A vassal state is any state that is subordinate to another. The vassal in these cases is the ruler, rather than the state itself. Being a vassal most commonly implies providing military assistance to the dominant state when requested to do so; it sometimes implies paying tribute, but a state which does so is better described as a tributary state. In simpler terms the vassal state would have to provide military power to the dominant state. Today, more common terms are puppet state, protectorate or associated state.
Ancient China
From the time of the Zhou Dynasty (1046–770 BC) until the Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD), a varying number of vassal states existed in Ancient China. These ranged in size from small city states to vassals which controlled large swathes of territory such as the States of Chu and Qi. One of these vassal states would go on to conquer China and unite the country under the first emperor Qin Shi Huang.
People's Republic of China
Before the late 1950s Chinese writers commonly describe "Tibet's place in the world of imperial China as that of a subordinate vassal state." Between 1949 and 1950 People's Republic of China entered Tibet by force in the name of ending Serfdom. Under pressure of military defeat, the Lhasa government signed the Seventeen Point Agreement for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet.

Vassal States were a number of tributary or vassal states, usually on the periphery of the Ottoman Empire under suzerainty of the Porte, over which direct control was not established, for various reasons. Some of these states served as buffer states between the Ottomans and Christianity in Europe or Shi'ism in Asia. Their number varied over time but notable were the Khanate of Crimea, Wallachia, Moldavia, Transylvania. High level officials in both Japan and China have been negotiating to establish a meeting between the duly elected leader of Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and the gangster dictator of China Xi Jinping. Mr. Abe a member of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party, and Xi Jinping a member of China’s Communist Party.
Before such a meeting can take place the Chinese are insisting Prime Minister Abe of Japan no longer visit the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, Japan. Huh? Is Japan a vassal state of China’s that the Chinese can dictate to Mr. Abe where he cannot go within his own country? Answer: Of course not, the Communist in China are nuts and behaving like the bullies that they are.
The Chinese object to the Yasukuni Shrine because out of the two and one-half million spirits enshrined there since the 1860 of those who served Japan, fourteen are classified as “class A war criminals. This classification was designated as a result of the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal (International Military Tribunal for the Far East - IMTFE or Tokyo Trials).
After reading who these men were and their official capacities during and before the war one would think this classification is rather dubious. Please see the link below listing the 14 and note, it is a Chinese website.
This absurd demand by the Chinese should be replied with one of two ways:
1 - DROP DEAD. What kind of a nut would think they can dictate to the duly elected executive of a sovereign nation where they cannot go in their own country? However Prime Minster Abe being the consummate diplomat that he is would never utter such a rude statement.
Mr. Abe is absolutely brilliant in his foreign policy initiatives. Future text books written on diplomacy should explore case studies of his diplomatic maneuvering on behalf of Japan.
2 - Since Japan has made no preconditions to the proposed meeting, perhaps a counter to the Yasukuni Shrine vilification should be a demand that Chairman Mao Zedong’s portrait on in Tiananmen Square be removed.

Still others had commercial value such as Imeretia, Mingrelia, Chios, the Duchy of Naxos, and the Republic of Ragusa (Dubrovnik). Areas such as holy cities and Venetian tributary areas of Cyprus and Zante were not fully incorporated either. Finally, some small areas such as Montenegro/Zeta and Mount Lebanon did not merit the effort of conquest and were not fully subordinated to the center. The Principality of Serbia again became a tributary in 1817, after being so in the 15th century prior to the fall of Smederevo and its annexation to the Ottoman Empire.
Forms
Some states within the eyalet system included sancakbeys who were local to their sanjak or who inherited their position (e.g., Samtskhe, some Kurdish sanjaks), areas that were permitted to elect their own leaders (e.g., areas of Albania, Epirus, and Morea (Mani Peninsula was nominally a part of Aegean Islands Province but Maniot beys were tributary vassals of the Porte.)), or de facto independent eyalets (e.g., the Barbaresque 'regencies' Algiers, Tunis, Tripolitania in the Maghreb, and later the Khedivate of Egypt).
Outside the eyalet system were states such as Moldavia, Wallachia and Transylvania which paid tribute to the Ottomans and over which the Porte had the right to nominate or depose the ruler, garrison rights, and foreign policy control. They were considered by the Otomans as part of Dar al-'Ahd, thus they were allowed to preserve their self-rule, and were not under Islamic law, like the empire proper; Ottoman subjects, or Muslims for that matter, were not allowed to settle the land permanently or to build mosques.
Some states such as Ragusa paid tribute for the entirety of their territory and recognized Ottoman suzerainty.
Others such as the sharif of Mecca recognized Ottoman suzerainty but were subsidized by the Porte.
There were also secondary vassals such as the Nogai Horde and the Circassians who were (at least nominally) vassals of the khans of Crimea, or some Berbers and Arabs who paid tribute to the North African beylerbeyis, who were in turn Ottoman vassals themselves.
Other states paid tribute for possessions that were legally bound to the Ottoman Empire but not possessed by the Ottomans such as the Habsburgs for parts of Royal Hungary or Venice for Zante.
Other tribute from foreign powers included a kind of "protection money" sometimes called a horde tax (similar to the Danegeld) paid by Russia or the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It was usually paid to the Ottoman vassal khans of Crimea rather than to the Ottoman sultan directly.

This time, we face Nero, Gestahl and their giant pet spider. After defeating them, we head into the cave to the north of Sarejia's entrance and follow it all the wall through to Samara.
