It was a nasty head kick delivered to his own wife which finally did him in. The man seen in this video may think twice before raising his hand to a woman after what came next.
The video was was apparently taken on a smartphone by a neighbor not concerned enough to call the cops, but entertained enough to film the beating and post it online, allowing it to go viral on the Chinese internet.
Available information about the clip informs us the woman seen being beaten is the shirtless man's wife and the incident was filmed in Changzhou, a drab city of 4 million a couple hours drive east of Shanghai,
This kind of violence against women is so commonplace in China that witnesses rarely intervene. Violence within marriage is endemic and police are often reluctant to file a report or make arrests as assault within the context of marriage is widely considered a private matter to be worked out by the people involved. The All China Women's Federation estimates about 64% of all adults have experienced domestic violence, but many researchers believe it is far higher as most crimes go unreported.
There might be no cops in sight, but this guy makes the wrong move when he antagonizes a crowd of people gawking at the one-sided fight.

5. The Durango Massacres
The northwestern city of Durango endured an explosion of violence in 2011 when, in that year alone over 340 bodies were discovered in mass graves scattered throughout the city. One single grave alone, near an auto body shop, contained 89 bodies. The Los Zetas cartel is believed to be responsible for most of the murders in Durango.
4. The 2011 Monterrey Casino Attack
In August of 2011 a group of four vehicles pulled up to the entranceway of the Casino Royale in Nuevo Leon and opened fire with automatic weapons. Upon ceasing fire, the group dumped gallons of gasoline into the front of the building and set it on fire. The ensuing fire and panic inside resulted in 52 dead civilians, mostly woman. The Los Zetas claim they were merely trying to intimidate the owners of the casino, who had refused to pay the cartel extortion money.
3. The Nuevo Laredo Massacres
In mid April 2012, 14 men, who were presumed to be Los Zetas members, were found chopped into pieces in a van, apparently on the orders of the Sinoloa cartel. And that wasn’t all the Sinola cartel had planned to intimidate their rivals. A few weeks later, a further 23 bodies were discovered. Of the 23 people killed, nine of their bodies were hanged from a bridge to the utter horror of the civilians of Nuevo Laredo. The other 14 corpses were found, decapitated, with their heads stuffed in ice coolers.
2. The Hugo Hernandez Murder
In 2010, then 26-year-old Hugo Hernandez was kidnapped from the city of Sonora. A week later his body was found on a street in the northern city of Los Mochis. He had been chopped up into seven pieces; Hernandez’s torso was found in a plastic container on the street separate from another box that contained his arms, legs and skull. His face was skinned off of his skull and stitched onto a soccer ball in an apparent threat to the Juarez drug cartel.

Castillo was a one-man death squad. He has murdered more than 800 people on behalf of the Barrio Aztecas Gang, the deadly enforcers of the Zetas. He even testified that he has killed more but that he lost count. Chavez went so far as to tell jurors that he often beheaded or dismembered his victims as a means to impress his boss.

Violence is defined by the World Health Organization as the intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual, against oneself, another person, or against a group or community, that either results in or has a high likelihood of resulting in injury, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation. This definition associates intentionality with the committing of the act itself, irrespective of the outcome it produces.
Globally, violence takes the lives of more than 1.5 million people annually: just over 50% due to suicide, some 35% due to homicide, and just over 12% as a direct result of war or some other form of conflict. For each single death due to violence, there are dozens of hospitalizations, hundreds of emergency department visits, and thousands of doctors' appointments. Furthermore, violence often has life-long consequences for victims' physical and mental health and social functioning and can slow economic and social development.
Violence, however, is preventable. Evidence shows strong relationships between levels of violence and potentially modifiable factors such as concentrated poverty, income and gender inequality, the harmful use of alcohol, and the absence of safe, stable, and nurturing relationships between children and parents. Scientific research shows that strategies addressing the underlying causes of violence can be effective in preventing violence. Examples of scientifically credible strategies to prevent violence include nurse home-visiting and parenting education to prevent child maltreatment; life skills training for children ages 6–18 years; school-based programmes to address gender norms and attitudes; reducing alcohol availability and misuse through enactment and enforcement of liquor licensing laws, taxation and pricing; reducing access to guns and knives; and promoting gender equality by, for instance, supporting the economic empowerment of women.

The video was was apparently taken on a smartphone by a neighbor not concerned enough to call the cops, but entertained enough to film the beating and post it online, allowing it to go viral on the Chinese internet.
Available information about the clip informs us the woman seen being beaten is the shirtless man's wife and the incident was filmed in Changzhou, a drab city of 4 million a couple hours drive east of Shanghai,
This kind of violence against women is so commonplace in China that witnesses rarely intervene. Violence within marriage is endemic and police are often reluctant to file a report or make arrests as assault within the context of marriage is widely considered a private matter to be worked out by the people involved. The All China Women's Federation estimates about 64% of all adults have experienced domestic violence, but many researchers believe it is far higher as most crimes go unreported.
There might be no cops in sight, but this guy makes the wrong move when he antagonizes a crowd of people gawking at the one-sided fight.

5. The Durango Massacres
The northwestern city of Durango endured an explosion of violence in 2011 when, in that year alone over 340 bodies were discovered in mass graves scattered throughout the city. One single grave alone, near an auto body shop, contained 89 bodies. The Los Zetas cartel is believed to be responsible for most of the murders in Durango.
4. The 2011 Monterrey Casino Attack
In August of 2011 a group of four vehicles pulled up to the entranceway of the Casino Royale in Nuevo Leon and opened fire with automatic weapons. Upon ceasing fire, the group dumped gallons of gasoline into the front of the building and set it on fire. The ensuing fire and panic inside resulted in 52 dead civilians, mostly woman. The Los Zetas claim they were merely trying to intimidate the owners of the casino, who had refused to pay the cartel extortion money.
3. The Nuevo Laredo Massacres
In mid April 2012, 14 men, who were presumed to be Los Zetas members, were found chopped into pieces in a van, apparently on the orders of the Sinoloa cartel. And that wasn’t all the Sinola cartel had planned to intimidate their rivals. A few weeks later, a further 23 bodies were discovered. Of the 23 people killed, nine of their bodies were hanged from a bridge to the utter horror of the civilians of Nuevo Laredo. The other 14 corpses were found, decapitated, with their heads stuffed in ice coolers.
2. The Hugo Hernandez Murder
In 2010, then 26-year-old Hugo Hernandez was kidnapped from the city of Sonora. A week later his body was found on a street in the northern city of Los Mochis. He had been chopped up into seven pieces; Hernandez’s torso was found in a plastic container on the street separate from another box that contained his arms, legs and skull. His face was skinned off of his skull and stitched onto a soccer ball in an apparent threat to the Juarez drug cartel.

Castillo was a one-man death squad. He has murdered more than 800 people on behalf of the Barrio Aztecas Gang, the deadly enforcers of the Zetas. He even testified that he has killed more but that he lost count. Chavez went so far as to tell jurors that he often beheaded or dismembered his victims as a means to impress his boss.

A terrorist who carried out a car ramming attack on Monday was a member of Hamas.
Among the seven injured in the attack, were a newborn baby and his mother. In a separate incident, an Israeli-Jew and a Palestinian resident of Jerusalem were also injured when one of their co-workers attacked them.
On Monday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas referred to the last three months of violence as a justified popular uprising a view which is shared by a large percentage of Palestinians as reflected in a new poll released on Monday.
The results of this poll show the Palestinian people have little interest in settling the conflict which is not surprising considering their own leaders have encouraged them to believe that terrorism and violence will lead them to defeat Israel.

In this special edition Gracie Breakdown, Ryron and Rener analyze a street fight that took place at a gas station in Arizona between a New York DJ "Freekie London" and a "Truck Driver." Although most Gracie Breakdowns analyze the successful jiu-jitsu application of one or both of the fighters, Ryron and Rener take this opportunity to point out the threats, dangers, and excessive damage that occurs when jiu-jitsu is NOT part of the equation. They discuss everything from how to avoid altercations by managing the "combative energy" of an interaction, to the critical differences between Sport and Street behavioral patterns that every jiu-jitsu pracitioner must be aware of. Based on eyewitness written accounts. In the 17th century, a Bulgarian Christian region is selected by the Ottoman rulers to serve as an example of conversion to Islam. A Janissary who was kidnapped from the village as a boy now serving the Ottoman sultan is sent to force the reluctant inhabitants to convert. The Bulgarian christians have to chose between physical annihilation and losing their spiritual identity. Ultimately torture, violence, and rebellion break out. Based on real events and the novel "Time of Parting" (Vreme Razdelno) by Anton Donchev.
The novel is based on two individual eyewitness written accounts - by the priest Aligorko and the Venetian. The resulting text is a translation of the original French and Old Bulgarian (Old Church Slavonic) texts. All names, characters and events appear in the original manuscripts.
The year is 1668. The Ottoman Turkish jihad is in its heat in Southeastern Europe.The Turkish siege of the Venetian fortress of Candia (now Heraklion in Crete) has been lasting for a second decade now. The Rhodope Mountain is seen as a strategically important base of the war but its Christian population is a potential source of instability. The sultan orders its conversion into “the right faith”. The sacred forests and valleys, where according to the legend Orpheus was born, now screams under the Yataghans enforcing the foreign creed in blood and fires. A regiment of Spahis commanded by the Janissary Karaibrahim is assigned to the valley of the river Elindenya.
When the locals refuse to convert, the violence begins. One by one the villagers are killed. One is impaled and still alive as his body hangs from the pole; another one torn in half; a third one beheaded. When the Christians tell the occupier, Suleyman, that even if he forcefully converts people they can’t carry Allah truthfully in their hearts. Suleyman replies that he doesn’t care if they don’t carry Allah in their hearts – because their grandchildren are the ones who will assimilate into Islam.
A corps of janissaries is commissioned to the Rhodope Mountains under the command of Kara Ibrahim. At the time, he was, as all the janissaries were, kidnapped from his Bulgarian family, raised as a Muslim, trained to be a ferocious warrior and convert infidels to Islam in a most brutal way. His cruelty stuns even local Ottoman ruler. He stops at nothing but the resistance of some of the locals is invincible. The struggle is half a success, there are many converts, the death toll is heavy, but all the Bulgarian keep their language and traditions on. Most of the Balkans were under the thumb of the Ottoman empire. Ottoman empire was showing its ugliest face during this period in Balkans. Bulgaria was a strategically important area inhabited by unreliable Christian subjects. The sultan decided that they must all convert to Islam, or die. Time of Violence focuses on the fate of one valley during this crisis. The son of the miller was taken off by the Turks years ago, while still a boy, to become a janissary. Janissaries were special troops used by the Ottomans. Recruited (involuntarily) from Christian boys, they were separated from their families at an early age, indoctrinated in Islam, and turned into fiercely reliable troops with no allegiance to anyone but the sultan. The miller's son is now a highly trusted janissary, with the task of converting his entire home valley to Islam. But the people there take their religion very seriously, and will not submit. The janissary becomes more and more brutal in his attempts to convert the valley, for he must slaughter them all if they don't take the turban.
The movie is filmed exactly where the event took place in history and many of the actors are heirs of the original villagers.
Time of Violence is a 1988 Bulgarian film based on the novel Vreme razdelno of Anton Donchev and Directed by Ludmil Staikov.

It was the flag of April Uprising in Bulgaria in 1876 against the Ottoman oppressors – “Freedom or Death”. Uprising was brutally suppressed.
During The Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878 Bulgaria was liberated from five centuries of Ottoman rule and slavery. Thanks to Russians, Ukrainians, Romanians, Belarussians, Finns, Serbs, Montenegrins and all others who participated in the war for liberating Bulgaria.”

Quand on pense à l'agression, on n'est jamais soi-même l'agresseur (...) personne n'est jamais responsable de la violence, ce sont toujours les autres, les inconnus dont nous ne savons pas d'où ils viennent..."
