IN THIS 20-minute video, Fr. Anthony Cekada explains how traditionalists who recognize the Vatican II “popes” as legitimate, while also criticizing and rejecting their teachings, destroy the reverence and submission due the papacy.

Once again, Fr. Cekada demolishes the opposition. He rips apart the hypocritical position of not just leading figures in the traditionalist “R & R” camp, but all those who mindlessly adhere to superstitions and slander against sedevacantists without ever giving two minutes of serious study to the issue.

A brief glossary for readers who are new to this subject:

Recognize and Resist (R & R): The position that maintains a Catholic can recognize a pope as legitimate while openly rejecting his laws and teachings.

Sedevacantists: Those who, like me, uphold the papacy in all  its authority but believe it is temporarily vacant due to the heresies and novelties of the Vatican II claimants. As Fr. Cekada says, “The R & R position evolved into a perpetual, continuous exercise in private judgment over everything the pope says and does.” The sedevacantist position does not condemn any pope.

Novus Ordo: The new order of worship and theology of the Vatican II Church. Novus Ordites reject key teachings of the Church and the popes prior to Vatican II. In so doing, they also, whether knowingly or not, undermine the reverence and submission due the papacy and the Magisterium.
