Madeleine Joan "Maddie" Blaustein (formerly credited as Addie Blaustein; October 9, 1960 – December 13, 2008) was an American voice actress. She was known for her voice-actor work for 4Kids Entertainment, DuArt Film and Video and NYAV Post.
Blaustein was born the second oldest of 5 children in Long Island, New York. She was born intersex and was assigned male at birth. She lived as male for many years before transitioning to female. Her experience as an activist in the transgender community helped her to organize and support groups of people in Second Life.
Until her death she was a voice actor at 4Kids Entertainment who was known for voicing Sartorius in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. She was also best known as the voices of Meowth in Pokémon (Episodes 29-Season 8) and Solomon Muto (Sugoroku Mutou) from Yu-Gi-Oh! second series anime. She was also Chef Kawasaki from Kirby: Right Back At Ya!, Doctor Kureha in One Piece, and Arngrim, Lawfer, and Lezard in Valkyrie Profile and she was also the third English-speaking voice actor for E-123 Omega of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. She was also a comic book writer and artist, having worked for both Marvel Comics and Milestone Comics, and an animation director. Later she served as Creative Director for the Weekly World News. Video-game localization coordinator and translator Jeremy Blaustein is her brother.
"Voices of Pokémon" 1/07/2012 1:47 PM Due to my account not being able to upload videos longer than 15 minutes this video will be split in two. The next one will be available shortly. This video we see Veronica Taylor and Eric Stuart answer Pokemon related questions. including favorite lines, episodes, Pokemon and some favorite moments from the films, well kind of. I gotta say Veronica's still got the touch as Ash (Satoshi). We even hear a little bit about the late Maddie Blaustein, the 4Kids voice of Meowth (Nyasu). Again comments are welcome and enjoy.
Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=66IQR6L2 I had posted this a few days before this posting, but took it down since I didn't want any backlash interfering with the Animal Crossing fandub. However, after finding out about the passing of Maddie Blaustein, Meowth's most celebrated English performer, I felt it would be a fitting tribute to officially post it. And so. I bring you Mewoth's signature song, sung in the spirit of his signature VA, adapted for English speakers everywhere! I'll be playing Meowth in an upcoming radioplay produced by Kei of the Voice Acting Alliance, and so was inspired to adapt this song, which will appear in said play (I'll tell you when it comes out, worry not). Enjoy! Nyarth no Uta ~Meowth's Song~ Composer: Hirokazu Tanaka Original Lyrics: Shougo To...
Lynnell Stephani Long & Madeleine Blaustein. Maddie Joan was my best friend and I will always miss her.
This video is for one of my favorite multi-voiced voice actresses: Maddie Blaustein! i was browsing on serebii not to long, and looked at the post that had annoced that Maddie Blaustein who voiced meowth had passed away. so i decided to make a quick video in memory for her My you RIP maddie
Its been two long years since the original voice actor for Meowth died. So I made this video in her memory. I had to sing due to copyright issues and just learned the song today so sorry if it sucks.
My own personal tribute to Maddie Blaustein 1960-2008 She was a big part of my childhood. Her character brought me alot of laughs and I grew up with the TV Show (Pokemon) that she helped make famous. Rest In Peace Miss Blaustein
I didn't plan on something like this being my first video. I had actually planned on some political stuff, video game stuff, and maybe (don't hold your breath) a vlog. I never intended to do a music video, but when I learned of Maddie Blaustein's death, I had to post a memorial of sorts. This was done very quickly. I very quickly searched the Internet for pictures of Meowth, so some of them are poor quality. They also may not match the lyrics very well, but that's because this is simply a tribute, not a story. The song is The Time Has Come from the episode Pikachu's Goodbye. I know, it's not always fitting, but I figured the song should be Pokemon-related. Enjoy it, and don't judge it too harshly. It's not my best video, and I tend to really dislike slideshows. RIP Maddie Blaus...
Uploaded by request! There's only one problem with it: it sucks! I put it together in around fifteen minutes. I promise to redo this and make it good, but for right now, here's the prototype for the video. As you can tell from the ending, I'm trying to make it a little more interesting than a slideshow, it'll have a few more effects (maybe I'll be able to play around with AfterEffects!), but it has a ton of work to be done. This is just to let you all know that another video is on the way, and it'll be way cooler than this one. Until that time comes, watch my first video because it's way better, and please treat this one with respect as it isn't the finished project.

King Dedede sends his Waddle Dees to Cappy Town to deliver a free television set to every family in Cappy Town. As it turns out, the king has finally brought televised entertainment to Dream Land under the name of Channel DDD! The Cappies are astounded by this new technology, and even Kirby loves Channel DDD. It looks like Tiff is the only one who doesn't like this new idea, everyone else in Dream Land can't leave their couch. It's going to be difficult for Tiff, being the only one not caught up in this phenomenon.
I do not own Kirby or this show. All copyrights to 4kids, HAL Labs, and Nintendo. Kirby may be cute and small, but he has lots of secrets behind his fluffy pink exterior, and King Dedede wants to know them. He orders an enormous thunderstorm monster called Kracko to attack Kirby and Tiff. As an ominous thunder cloud looms above Cappy Town, Kracko, hiding in the clouds, tries to zap the young Star Warrior as he runs for his life. Once Kirby finds a safe place to hide, Tiff goes to ask Kabu how they can beat Kracko. She then receives some intriguing information from an unexpected source... When Tiff notices how poorly Kawasaki's restaurant is doing, she suggests that he open a delivery service - Maybe the customers won't mind the lousy cooking if the service is convenient. Enthusiastic about Tiff's idea, Kawasaki hires Tuff, Iroo, Honey, and Spikehead to deliver the meals to the customers while Tiff takes their orders... And Kirby is kind of just there. Will this new service prove to be hit for Kawasaki's restaurant, or will it end up being just as unpopular as his cooking? I do not own Kirby or this show. All copyrights to 4kids, Nintendo and HAL Labs. Also, a special thanks to Combin0wnage from Kirby's Rainbow Resort for providing us with this episode, and VaatiTheWindDemon for compressing the episode and making it much easier for me to download. Apologies for the misinformation! Did you know about the voice actors of your favorite Nintendo characters? Pikachu's voice is the same ALL around the world, and the little electric mouse has been performed by a very prestigious Japanese actress! Not only Pikachu, but good ol' Kirby as well! Some of these characters have gone through some changes, too - the sounds of the Star Fox team's classic catch-phrases started up in Washington, took a trip to England and came back to the US yet again!
