Zanjan, Iran
Zanjan (
pronunciation Persian: زنجان, Azerbaijani: زنگان, Zәngan, Zәncan) is the capital of Zanjan Province in north-western Iran. It lies 298 km (185 mi) north-west of Tehran on the main highway to Tabriz and Turkey and approximately 125 km (78 mi) from the Caspian Sea. The city is located about 20 kilometers south of the Qaflankuh Mountain Range. At the 2011 census, its population was 386,851, which is the 20th largest city in Iran. The population of Zanjan consists mostly of Iranian Azerbaijanis who speak the Azerbaijani language.
Zanjan is known for its beautiful handcrafts such as knives, traditional sandals, called charoogh, and malileh, a handcraft made with silver wires. Zanjani artists make many things like various decorative dishes and their special covers as well as silver jewelry. In ancient times, Zanjan was known for its stainless and sharp knives. But this tradition is gradually becoming extinct by introduction of Chinese-made knives into the market which are far cheaper, more abundant and of course less artistic . Many villagers today are traditional carpet weavers, perhaps Zanjan's most popular handcraft. Zanjan's population boasts the highest level of happiness among the people of 30 other provinces in Iran, according to a detailed survey conducted by Isna.

"Knives" is an episode from the second season of the science fiction television series Babylon 5.
Synopsis
Londo Mollari reunites with an old friend, Urza Jaddo. Urza knows that soon he and his house will be declared enemy of the Republic and asks Londo to help him and his family. Londo talks to Lord Refa and asks him not to prosecute Urza. However, when Urza realises that, he becomes angry: it was Refa who ordered Urza's prosecution. Urza challenges Londo to the Morago, a ritual combat using Coutari, Centauri swords. Londo accepts the challenge, even though he could never beat Urza with the Coutari, because refusal would bring disgrace on his family. In the fight Mollari kills Jaddo and feels remorse for it. Later, Vir tries to console him by telling him that Urza would have killed him. Londo explains that Urza could have killed him at any time, but killing Londo would not have helped his family. In defeating Urza in the Morago, Londo must take Urza's family as part of his own. Because they are now House Mollari, the resolution against house Jaddo cannot harm them.

Knives (album)
Knives is the fourth studio album released by punk rock band Aiden. The album is a return to Aiden's punk rock style, after the lighter style of the album Conviction. The album was released on May 11, 2009, in the UK and May 12, 2009, in the United States through Victory Records. The band has described this album as, "raw, it's fast, it's pissed". It was recorded and produced by WiL at his own studio, Sleepy Hollow, in Seattle.
On April 1, 2009, "Scavengers of the Damned" was announced as the first single from the album and was made available to buy on iTunes as well as uploaded to the band's MySpace page.

we had good trekking between znajan to gilan in iran start from abbar City in zanjan province. abbar was located near tarot city in zanjan province and 320km far from Tehran. this trek take 3days but we can do it in 2days also. end of this trek in siahmazgi in gilan province. this trek almost 27km . there is no facilities on the way , so we take tent and sleeping bags and food ourselves. قلعه بهستان بر روی رودخانه قزل اوزن قرار دارد و حداقل 30 اتاق داشت. حتی باستان شناسان نیز مطمئن نیستند که چه کسی از آن استفاده کرده است، اما بیشتر مردم معتقدند که ریشه آن در دوران هخامنشیان است، اما بیشتر توسط سلسله ساسانیان و در دوران اسلامی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است.
در این ویدیو ایران، در نزدیکی زنجان، در شهر سلطانیه، شما را به مقبره اولجایتو، بزرگترین گنبد آجری جهان و سومین گنبد بزرگ از هر نوع، می برم!
این گنبد هشت ضلعی به ارتفاع 50 متر به عنوان نمونه ای برجسته از دستاوردهای معماری ایرانی و اثری کلیدی در توسعه معماری اسلامی آن، در فهرست جهانی یونسکو قرار دارد.

we had good trekking between znajan to gilan in iran
start from abbar City in zanjan province.
abbar was located near tarot city in zanjan province and 320km far from Tehran.
this trek take 3days but we can do it in 2days also.
end of this trek in siahmazgi in gilan province.
this trek almost 27km .
there is no facilities on the way , so we take tent and sleeping bags and food ourselves.

Behestan Castle is not known by most Iranian people, but I went out of my way to visit this ancient stone castle (3,500 years old!) and I'm so glad I did!

قلعه بهستان بر روی رودخانه قزل اوزن قرار دارد و حداقل 30 اتاق داشت. حتی باستان شناسان نیز مطمئن نیستند که چه کسی از آن استفاده کرده است، اما بیشتر مردم معتقدند که ریشه آن در دوران هخامنشیان است، اما بیشتر توسط سلسله ساسانیان و در دوران اسلامی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است.
در این ویدیو ایران، در نزدیکی زنجان، در شهر سلطانیه، شما را به مقبره اولجایتو، بزرگترین گنبد آجری جهان و سومین گنبد بزرگ از هر نوع، می برم!
این گنبد هشت ضلعی به ارتفاع 50 متر به عنوان نمونه ای برجسته از دستاوردهای معماری ایرانی و اثری کلیدی در توسعه معماری اسلامی آن، در فهرست جهانی یونسکو قرار دارد.

قلعه بهستان بر روی رودخانه قزل اوزن قرار دارد و حداقل 30 اتاق داشت. حتی باستان شناسان نیز مطمئن نیستند که چه کسی از آن استفاده کرده است، اما بیشتر مردم معتقدند که ریشه آن در دوران هخامنشیان است، اما بیشتر توسط سلسله ساسانیان و در دوران اسلامی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است.

I traveled to Zanjan province and visited places that were great and amazing! On the first day of my trip, I went to the Mardan Namaki museum in Zanjan. In this museum, several men who died in an accident in the salt mine more than 2000 years ago are kept. And also pads and a dish from ancient Iran!

The Saltmen (Persian: مردان نمکی, mardān-e namakī) were discovered in the Chehrabad salt mines, located on the southern part of the Hamzehlu village, on the west side of the city of Zanjan, in the Zanjan Province in Iran. By 2010, the remains of six men had been discovered, most of them accidentally killed by the collapse of galleries in which they were working. The head and left foot of Salt Man 1 are on display at the National Museum of Iran in Tehran.
Discovery
In the winter of 1993, miners came across a body with long hair, a beard and some artifacts. These included the remains of a body, a lower leg inside a leather boot, three iron knives, a woollen half trouser, a silver needle, a sling, parts of a leather rope, a grindstone, a walnut, some pottery shards, some patterned textile fragments, and a few broken bones. The body had been buried in the middle of a tunnel approximately 45 metres (148 ft) in length.
In 2004, another salt miner found the remains of a second man. During archaeological excavations in 2005, the remains of another two well-preserved men were found. In 2006, the Iranian Cultural Heritage News Agency partnered with the German Mining Museum in Bochum (Germany), in 2007 with the University of Oxford and the Swiss University of Zurich for thorough investigations. A scientific long-term project was started, supported by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and British funds. Four corpses, including a teenager and a woman, are kept at the Archeology Museum (Zolfaghari House) in Zanjan. A sixth corpse found in the excavation campaign 2010 was left in place at the salt mine. Three hundred pieces of fabric were found, some of which retained designs and dyes. In 2008, the Ministry of Industries and Mines canceled the mining permit.

Behestan Castle is not known by most Iranian people, but I went out of my way to visit this ancient stone castle (3,500 years old!) and I'm so glad I did!
Behestan Fortress sits on the Qizil Üzan River and had at least 30 rooms. Even archaeologists are unsure of who used it, but most people believe that it has roots in the Achaemenian era but was mostly used by Sasaninan dynasty and during the Islamic era.
In this Iran Video, near Zanjan, in the city of Soltaniyeh, I also take you to the mausoleum of Oljaytu, the Largest brick dome in world and the 3rd largest dome of any kind!
This octaganol 50 m tall dome is a UNESCO World as an outstanding example of the achievements of Persian architecture and a key monument in the development of its Islamic architecture.

قلعه بهستان در استان زنجان را اکثر مردم ایران نمی شناسند، اما من برای بازدید از این قلعه سنگی باستانی (3500 ساله!) تلاش کردم و خیلی خوشحالم که این کار را انجام دادم!
قلعه بهستان بر روی رودخانه قزل اوزن قرار دارد و حداقل 30 اتاق داشت. حتی باستان شناسان نیز مطمئن نیستند که چه کسی از آن استفاده کرده است، اما بیشتر مردم معتقدند که ریشه آن در دوران هخامنشیان است، اما بیشتر توسط سلسله ساسانیان و در دوران اسلامی مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است.
در این ویدیو ایران، در نزدیکی زنجان، در شهر سلطانیه، شما را به مقبره اولجایتو، بزرگترین گنبد آجری جهان و سومین گنبد بزرگ از هر نوع، می برم!
این گنبد هشت ضلعی به ارتفاع 50 متر به عنوان نمونه ای برجسته از دستاوردهای معماری ایرانی و اثری کلیدی در توسعه معماری اسلامی آن، در فهرست جهانی یونسکو قرار دارد.

abbar was located near tarot city in zanjan province and 320km far from Tehran.
this trek take 3days but we can do it in 2days also.
end of this trek in siahmazgi in gilan province.
this trek almost 27km .
there is no facilities on the way , so we take tent and sleeping bags and food ourselves.

Behestan Castle is not known by most Iranian people, but I went out of my way to visit this ancient stone castle (3,500 years old!) and I'm so glad I did!
Behestan Fortress sits on the Qizil Üzan River and had at least 30 rooms. Even archaeologists are unsure of who used it, but most people believe that it has roots in the Achaemenian era but was mostly used by Sasaninan dynasty and during the Islamic era.
In this Iran Video, near Zanjan, in the city of Soltaniyeh, I also take you to the mausoleum of Oljaytu, the Largest brick dome in world and the 3rd largest dome of any kind!
This octaganol 50 m tall dome is a UNESCO World as an outstanding example of the achievements of Persian architecture and a key monument in the development of its Islamic architecture.
I spent 24 DAYS IN IRAN and am SO excited to show you just how different the country is from what you might see on television and the news.

I traveled to Zanjan province and visited places that were great and amazing! On the first day of my trip, I went to the Mardan Namaki museum in Zanjan. In this museum, several men who died in an accident in the salt mine more than 2000 years ago are kept. And also pads and a dish from ancient Iran!

The Saltmen (Persian: مردان نمکی, mardān-e namakī) were discovered in the Chehrabad salt mines, located on the southern part of the Hamzehlu village, on the west side of the city of Zanjan, in the Zanjan Province in Iran. By 2010, the remains of six men had been discovered, most of them accidentally killed by the collapse of galleries in which they were working. The head and left foot of Salt Man 1 are on display at the National Museum of Iran in Tehran.
Discovery
In the winter of 1993, miners came across a body with long hair, a beard and some artifacts. These included the remains of a body, a lower leg inside a leather boot, three iron knives, a woollen half trouser, a silver needle, a sling, parts of a leather rope, a grindstone, a walnut, some pottery shards, some patterned textile fragments, and a few broken bones. The body had been buried in the middle of a tunnel approximately 45 metres (148 ft) in length.
In 2004, another salt miner found the remains of a second man. During archaeological excavations in 2005, the remains of another two well-preserved men were found. In 2006, the Iranian Cultural Heritage News Agency partnered with the German Mining Museum in Bochum (Germany), in 2007 with the University of Oxford and the Swiss University of Zurich for thorough investigations. A scientific long-term project was started, supported by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) and British funds. Four corpses, including a teenager and a woman, are kept at the Archeology Museum (Zolfaghari House) in Zanjan. A sixth corpse found in the excavation campaign 2010 was left in place at the salt mine. Three hundred pieces of fabric were found, some of which retained designs and dyes. In 2008, the Ministry of Industries and Mines canceled the mining permit.
