The annual Yabun Festival returns to Victoria Park in Camperdown on the 26th of January 2016, and will be headlined by Aboriginal rock/reggae icon Bart Willoughby.

One of the most influential artists in contemporary Aboriginal music, Bart Willoughby is the man behind Aboriginal anthems, ‘We Have Survived’, ‘Black Man’s Rights’ and ‘Aboriginal Woman’. Other artists who will perform at the 2016 Yabun Festival include Radical Son, Yarwah, Drewz, Leah Flanagan, Evie J Willie, Black Turtles, Bow & Arrow and The Australian Eagle.

Yabun (meaning ‘music to a beat’ in Gadigal language) is a free event that features some of the biggest names and emerging artists from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music scene performing live throughout the day. The event also features arts and crafts workshops, a range of food and merchandise stalls, traditional Indigenous games, circus skills workshops, rugby league activities and drills, singing and dancing lessons for kids, and traditional Aboriginal cultural performances at the Corroboree Ground. Yabun draws a large and diverse crowd each year. Previous Yabun headliners have included Jessica Mauboy, Dan Sultan and Christine Anu.
