Cadwalader's Ice Cream (often referred to simply as Cadwalader's) is a family-run chain of well known ice cream parlours that originated in Gwynedd, Wales. The ice cream parlour was introduced in Criccieth, by husband and wife David and Hannah Cadwalader in 1927, and was originally run as a general store. After the business was taken over by one of their children, Dafydd, he changed the emphasis and fish, as well as vanilla ice cream, was sold from the end of World War II. The vanilla ice cream had a secret recipe, reputedly including the addition of 6lbs of "shan't tell you" and "a great deal of love and care."

After Dafydd Cadwalader died in 1983, Cadwalader's was taken over again, by a family of Welsh entrepreneurs. The new owners expanded the business to cover North Wales and Cardiff. Today, Cadwalader's stores can be found in Wales at Betws-y-Coed, Cardiff Bay, Criccieth, Llandudno, Porthmadog, Portmeirion and Pwllheli. The Criccieth store has been expanded from a standard ice cream shop to a café, and a further shop has been opened in England at Trentham Gardens, with a second English shop opening in the Trafford Centre on Boxing Day 2010. The products of Cadwalader's are not confined to various ice creams, but also include hot and cold drinks, cakes and baguettes.
