I have been a Commonwealth Bank customer for 34 years since I was 6 years old with my first ever bank account. There is a reason for not changing banks, their rates are competitive, their products easy to manage (especially Netbank) and their branch staff are always happy, helpful and positive.

I dislike Esanda car loans as it has high interest rates and high early payout fees on loans.

It was my first loan and the process and requirements were explained very thoroughly and if needed, the support was there. The Westpac team is very helpful and although their interest rates aren't the best, its reassuring to know that if I am uncomfortable with any of their services, there is no doubt that it will be solved.

We live in Remote NT so popping into the Bank is not a possibility. People's Choice were so easy to deal with. Very efficient. Very helpful. An absolutely smooth transaction.

Was told I could not pay off my loan sooner. Found out 3 years later that it would have been completely okay. Perhaps I spoke with a new employee but regardless, I am very upset to find out all these years I have been making gradual repayments when I could have just paid it off when I had the funds. Lots of money spent keeping the car insured and registered for no reason. Mistakes happen so I guess we just move on.
