Medina (/mɛˈdiːnə/; Arabic: اَلْمَدِينَة اَلْمَنَوَّرَة, al-Madīnah al-Munawwarah, “the radiant city” (officially), or اَلْمَدِينَة al-Madīnah; also transliterated as Madinah, or madinat al-nabi "the city of the prophet") is a city in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia, and serves as the capital of the Al Madinah Province. It is the second holiest city in Islam, and the burial place of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Medina is historically significant for being Muhammad's home after the Hijrah. Before the advent of Islam, the city was known as Yathrib, but was personally renamed by Muhammad.
Medina is home to the three oldest mosques in Islam, namely Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet's Mosque), Quba Mosque (the first mosque in Islam's history), and Masjid al-Qiblatain (the mosque where the qibla was switched to Mecca).
Because of the Saudi government's religious policy and concern that historic sites could become the focus for idolatry, much of Medina's Islamic physical heritage has been destroyed since the beginning of Saudi rule.[citation needed]

With them, those suffering found relief, those lacking found prosperity, and those diseased found health. Often, pain evaporated with a single touch of their hands.
The superhuman-like power of rishis and bujuhurgs was attained through a long strenuous process of spiritual pursuit. By surrendering to this process, they transformed every prayer into a union with God, and felt God deep within their own existence.
You too can progress on this path. Like them, you can attain the power to heal, have insights and extrasensory powers. Your prayer can become a union with God, and you can feel the presence of God within your existence. And you do not need to leave your family and job or live in seclusion to do this. Alhumdulilah Allah blessed me again to visit the city of RasoolAllah (saw) - Madina. This vlog is when I went on ZIyarah of Madina.
We visited Masjid Qiblatain, Masjid Quba and Mount Uhud.
My tip for Ziyarah in both Makkah & Madina would be to book it yourself. try and find a english/urdu speaking guide who will take you on the tour of Madina. This way you have your own time to do what you wish, to see the places, spend time observing these blessed places and not be rushed.
In my experience the Ziyarah you get with your packages (from UK) are very rushed. The driver most of the time is Saudi and does not understand English or any other language so it is hard to communicate. The whole ziyarah is rushed and most of the time its in the Mini Van (esp in Makkah - where we were told to stay in the van and just look)

The tall, octagonal minaret of the Sidi Youssef Dey Mosque is an example of Tunisia's earliest Syric building design and opposite is the Dar-el-Bey, former palace of the Turkish monarchs.
Dar Ben Abdallah is a splendid palace that dates back to the 18th century and since 1975, has incorporated a folklore museum that is well worth a visit. A large cool courtyard is dominated by a central marble fountain that is surrounded by both residential and official rooms. The lavish lifestyle of the 19th century is on full display in numerous rooms with precious furniture and crystal chandeliers, as well as beautifully attired life-size dolls.
Today, Bardo is an elegant suburb of villas but in the 19th century, the Turkish Beys built their palace district within it. The former harem today contains the majestic Bardo Museum.
Tunis has all the wonderful atmosphere of this region's historic and colorful past.

However, when evening falls make sure to head back to Jamaa el-Fnaa, the largest square in Africa, as it fills up with steam-producing food stalls. Indulge in the bustling activity there, listen to Arabic story tellers, watch magicians and Chleuh dancers. Fez, once Morocco's capital, is another gorgeous imperial city. Get lost in its lovely labyrinth of narrow Medieval streets, enjoy its huge medina, see the beautiful city gates, the ancient University of Al-Karaouine and the Bou Inania Madrasa. Also, make sure to visit a traditional leather tanning factory. The city of Meknes is often called the "Versailles of Morocco" for its beauty. For a more laid-back experience of city life, catch a sea breeze at Asilah or lovely Essaouira. The blue-washed town of Chefchaouen is an old time travellers' favourite and a great starting point to explore the impressive High Atlas Mountains. Climb Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North-Africa, passing lovely adobe villages and exploring the gorgeous Ourika and Amizmiz valleys on the way. The stunning panoramic view from the top will make it worth every bit of your effort to get there. Other praised hiking routes lead through the beautiful Ameln Valley in the Anti-Atlas and the wooded Rif Mountains in the very north.
Hop on a camel back for a trip through the golden Sahara sand dunes at Erg Chebbi, near Merzouga. Spend the night in a desert tent, under the incredibly starred sky. The Sahara is also accessible near the town of Zagora; it's easier to get to from Marrakech but doesn't have the imposing dunes of Erg Chebbi. Somewhat less easy to reach but therefor also less crowded are the dunes of Erg Chigaga near M'hamid. On your way to the desert, make sure not to miss the stunning Todra gorge near Tinghir. The ancient fortified city of Aït-Benhaddou is another must-see sight. Although rainstorms damage the mud-brick kasbahs time and again, this mostly abandoned village remains an impressive sight and has been the decor for a range of movies, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.

As these are promoted only to tourists they are the more expensive option with pricing usually around DH 150 for a hammam. They can not be technically referred to as a proper hammam, but they are nonetheless enjoyable, especially for the timid. Your hotel can recommend a good one.
The second option is to visit a "popular" Hammam. Popular hammams are the places where the locals go. Ask the staff at your hotel where they would go.

This military building was very similar to a monastery in which Islamic interests dominated the actions of the Ribat’s „Warrior Monks.“ The history of Sousse has been influenced by many different countries and cultures. Carthagian, Roman and even Byzantine influences can be found in the city. Its convenient location, coastline and fertile countryside created a prosperous trading and commercial centre, making Sousse the main metropolis of the Sahel. Stretching out onto the highest point of the Medina is the impressive fortress, the Kasbah, that was built on the foundations of a Byzantine castle and today contains an important museum. Thanks to its special location, Sousse has always fascinated visitors with its rich variety of atmospheric, historical impressions. Thankfully, and despite its warlike past, the Medina of Sousse has been able to preserve most of its original character.

So, it's quite obvious that Arabic, Italian and British and other cultures influenced it.
Malta's language basically is related to the Semitic language family and so it's related to Arabic and Hebrew. It's the only surviving form of the Phoenicians language so this is truly unique. The capital of the Maltese Archipelago of three inhabited and two uninhabited islands is Valletta. Valletta is built on the peninsula surrounded by two bays. After the Turkish' siege, the Popes send his Architect Francisco Lipari here who together with Gerolamo Cassar, the chief architect of the order of knighthood planned the symmetrical square reticulated street structure of the new town.
For the construction, they used rocks extracted underneath the town area. Therefore today there's a several kilometer long tunnel system running under Valletta. The upper house was bomb during World War II. There are plans for the rebuilding, however it's better not to expect this opening in the next one or two years. The busiest street of Valletta is Liberty Street starting from the town gate.
We can recover from the fatigue of sightseeing by sitting on one of the café terraces. The most famous is the Café Cordino. Behind the coffee, inside the beautiful library, there's an audiovisual exhibition on the history of the St. John. The sounds and picture effects are cutting edge.
The palace of the Grand Master has lasted one decade starting from 1570. The renaissance building has been both the master's office and resident. Today it's a presidential palace and meeting place of the House of Commons. The table is placed on the wall of the inside yard and remind us the vistas of the pope and the queen.
The interest of trick el dasca which is parallel to Liberty Street is that it was the only street in Valletta more where the nights have been allowed to fight a duel. Near, there are the toy museum and a small product palace, the Casa Roca Picola where paintings from the 15th to 17th centuries are exhibited. In Valletta, traveling by car is problematic because they drive on the left and it's hard to find a parking place. It's better if we visit the inner areas by walking or by a small horse carriage called Karrozzin. The star shape of St. Elma was built on the former place of the watch tower. Some scenes of the Oscar winning film Gladiator were shot here.
Inside we find a World War Museum converted from the command center of the British Air Defense. Besides others, General Eisenhower's jeep named husky is guarded here as well as three contemporary airplanes of the Maltese air force. One is even a little interested in military history can spend illuminating hours here.
The name of the St. John Cathedral indicates that it received its cathedral status from the Pope together with its fellow Medina. The building represents a classical byzantine Basilica. We can see simple and clear forms on the outside and rich baroque interior. In olden times the Congresses of the Knights were held here. When Napoleon's army ravaged Malta, the silver gate was painted black in order to prevent soldier's recognizing how valuable it was.
