First, a few things we are not: We are not gadget freaks or tech obsessives. We are not smarter than you (at least not all of you. We might be a little smarter than some of you). We are not trying to prove or improve our geek cred. We aren't trying to "re-imagine" the media business. We aren't freaking out when Apple product announcements don't reverse the Earth's rotation, and we don't think Google is evil (Facebook ... we're still a little iffy on that one...).
Now, a few things we are: We are here to help you navigate an increasingly digital world. We are writers and editors who are the most likely within our social circles to be asked the question, "Which phone/TV/computer should I buy?" We are providers of trustworthy and unbiased product reviews written in plain English, as well as timely and entertaining coverage of the way tech is changing our lives. We are engineers, sales, and marketing specialists who provide unique solutions to our advertising partners. And we are big: 10 million monthly unique visitors and growing every month — and that's before you get to our syndicated network featuring some of the biggest destinations on the web.
Digital Trends believes that the ubiquitous integration of technology into our everyday lives is both immensely empowering and often confounding, and we resolve to help our audience make informed decisions that allow them to maximize its potential. We promise to never assume that you know what OLED or CPU stands for, nor will we underestimate the value of your take on, or expectation of, technology.
Finally, we pledge to create a platform and a community that provides an easy exchange of information and advice between our staff, our audience, and our partners.
Any questions? Just ask us.

Buying a car is a simple process. You go to the dealership, pick out the one you want, and the let the haggling over the doormats and the undercoating commence.
The cars on this list, though, are a little different. Take the gorgeous new Ferrari LaFerrari. Even if you do happen to have a spare $1.13 million lying around, don’t bother calling your Ferrari dealer. If Ferrari thinks you deserve one of its 499 masterpieces, it will call and offer the privilege of such a masterpiece to you.
That’s what sets these dream cars apart, and makes this list of the world’s top ten great cars a bit special.
Let’s face it; we may never see one of these cars in the flesh — let alone own one — but that’s true of the Mona Lisa, too. And that doesn’t stop people traveling around the world to see her. These cars are more than just insane pieces of engineering capable of transporting you from 0 to 60 faster than lightning striking a cheetah; indeed, they are cultural treasures.
Just a heads up, we’ve excluded classic cars that are being sold at auctions and are widely unavailable. So don’t expect to see Steve McQueen’s Mustang from Bullitt on here.

Some say Ultra HD 4K TVs are stupid, and they back up those claims with science-based assertions, claiming the human you can’t see the difference between Ultra HD and standard 1080P HD unless you’re nose is pressed against the screen. But on the other side of the divide, some are saying they’ve looked at Ultra HD content on Ultra HD TVs and swear the difference is readily apparent. So, who’s got it right?
To find out, we decided to set up an informal experiment under what we consider to be real-world conditions to determine whether or not the average viewer can see a difference between Ultra HD 4K and 1080p when placed side-by-side. The results are in the video.
Considering this is such a hotly debated topic among the enthusiast community, we anticipate a bit of blow-back, but before you ragefully take to the comments section to tell us all about how we’re not scientists, allow us to explain why we approached this little experiment the way we did.
First off, it’s true: we aren’t scientists, and we didn’t approach this test scientifically — we did this on purpose. We wanted our setup to reflect real-world conditions, which included average-Joe viewers looking at content coming from one of the very few places average-Joe viewers can access Ultra HD content right now: Netflix. When 4K Blu-ray players are a reality, we will be able to compare 4K Blu-ray on a 4K display next to 1080p Blu-ray on a 1080p display, and we expect to learn a lot more, since resolution is only part of the total Ultra HD package. But for now, the Netflix comparison gives us the best opportunity to see how the Ultra HD content (albeit compressed) people can watch in their homes right now compares to the same 1080p content (also compressed) people are already watching.
Second, we chose to compare a plasma TV to an LED TV on purpose as well. Our theory (which proved to be right) was that the superior picture quality afforded by a plasma display would trump the resolution improvement afforded by a 4K display, regardless of whether the higher resolution was visible.
At the end of the day, Ultra HD is noticeably more detailed than 1080p HD, even when viewing compressed Netflix content. We anticipate the difference being much more stark when 4K Blu-ray comes available. We also found that 60-inche is about as small a screen as you’ll want to go with 4K, as anything smaller from a typical viewing distance has a much lower payoff. Conversely, the bigger the screen the more obvious the improvement in resolution is.

After abandoning its iconic plasma TVs, Panasonic seemed to be losing steam until it came raging back at IFA 2015 with this 4K UHD OLED. What makes its new TV so special is the processing under the hood. Panasonic’s Studio Master Drive technology has always delivered outstanding picture quality, but its implementation in this new OLED TV unleashes the tech’s true potential.
Ask anyone who saw the CZ950 at IFA 2015, and they’ll probably tell you it is the most gorgeous TV they’ve ever seen. And it’s not just the picture quality, either. The TV’s design is sleek and modern … even the back of the panel is sexy, shrouded in luxurious alcantara fabric.
We absolutely love the Gear S2, and if we’re being honest, there was some talk of it being our DT pick for best of show.
Samsung is known for making great products, but rarely does it push an entire category of devices to a new level. Thanks to a gorgeous circular interface and an innovative rotating bezel that lets you navigate the watch menu as easy as you turn up the volume on a stereo, Samsung has changed the game for smartwatches
With its Duo washing machine, Haier removes any excuse to throw an unsorted heap of laundry into the machine. It has two drums, so you can separate lights and darks, cottons and finer fabrics, and so on, then wash them at the same time.
The drums are unequal size, with the bottom holding around 17 pounds of clothes and the top almost 9. It has a nice-looking, 7-inch LCD screen that allows you to scroll through a variety of cycles, including one for silks, one for allergen reduction, and one for baby clothes. It might not save you time if you’re one of those people who toss everything in the wash at once, but the smaller drum also lets you wash a smaller load using less water and energy. Your gym bag will probably thank you.

Amazon’s Fire TV stick starts shipping on November 19, and we got our hands on one today for an early look at what promises to be one of the hottest gift items this holiday season. At just $40, the Fire TV Stick undercuts the Roku Streaming Stick in price, but puts it to shame when it comes to hardware specs. Frankly, when the Fire TV Stick was first announced, we thought it sounded a little too good to be true, but we’re happy to report now that we were wrong about that. Check out the video below to see it in action.
Unlike the Roku Streaming Stick, which is a bit sluggish compared to its full-sized streaming set-top box brethren, the Amazon Fire TV stick is quick to respond to commands, and any differences in app/content loading times are so minute, we’ll need a stopwatch to chart them. It’s interface is identical to the Fire TV Box, and its functionality is very similar, too. At this point, it seems the only real advantage to using an Amazon Fire TV box would be its Ethernet connection for faster HD video throughput, and its faster processor for smoother gaming.
We’ll be pitting the Fire TV Stick against the Fire TV box and, separately, the Roku Streaming Stick and Chromecast soon. We’ll also have our full review of the Fire TV Stick shortly, so visit back tomorrow for a more in-depth look at Amazon’s latest effort to buy your affection for its special brand of streaming movie, TV, games, and music delivery.

At Google’s I/O developer conference in San Francisco on Thursday, the company introduced Jump, a new solution that may make it possible for anyone to shoot 3D panoramic video in the near future.
The first videos from Jump were shot on a special 3D-printed rig developed by GoPro in collaboration with Google. Sixteen cameras fan out on a tripod-mounted wheel that looks like a nightmare from some futuristic surveillance state.
Right now, that video gets fed into Google’s proprietary algorithm, which both weaves 16 individual feeds into one panorama and generates stereoscopic viewpoints for the illusion of 3D. You can only watch it, at the moment, on an Android phone wrapped in Google’s functional but inelegant Cardboard 3D viewer.

The show floor at CES 2015 finally opened up today, and we spent the entire time staring down the best TVs all the major manufacturers had to offer. Sony, Samsung, Sharp, LG, and Panasonic all had something special to show, and we were sure to give them all our undivided attention.
The takeaway here is: better color. Each manufacturer is either using quantum dots or a phosphor-coated LED technology in order to expand color gamut (the total colors that can be produced by the television). In either case, the result is color that's closer to what you can see at the movie theater, known as DCI (digital cinema initiative) P3 color space. The effect can be incredible, though the content that supports it isn't available yet.
But don't worry, that's coming soon, too.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Review
“Tactical shooter” as a genre is a pretty important descriptor for the kind of gameplay that Rainbow Six offers. This isn’t Call of Duty-style multiplayer: one or two shots is all it takes to get wiped out in Rainbow Six: Siege, and there are no respawns until the game’s next round.
The “siege” part of Rainbow Six: Siege refers to its gameplay – in every multiplayer match, one of two five-player

iPad Mini 4 - Review
This year’s new iPad Mini 4 is an excellent tablet. With its high-res screen, small form factor, and A8 processor, the Mini easily meets and surpasses the competition.
There's really no reason to upgrade from an iPad Mini 3 or even the 2. This is for new users looking for a smaller tablet. It is probably a worthwhile upgrade from the iPad Mini 1 however.
On the other hand, the Mini is no compe

The Wii U is getting a bit of a timely boost during this holiday shopping season. Nintendo has officially announced that Minecraft Wii U Edition is coming to its console this month. The insanely popular game is expected to run $30 bucks and will finally arrive on December 17. There are even rumors there could be Mario skins at some point in the future.
The Wii U could certainly use the attention, as its total sales currently trail the current number one selling console, Playstation 4, by over 10 million units.
How many tracks do you have in your music library? Well, if you happen to have more than 25,000, then you might be happy to learn that Apple has made good on its promise to increase its iCloud Music Library limit to 100,000 tracks. Apple’s Eddy Cue promised the bump would come by years’ end back in June, and it applies to both Apple Music and iTunes Match users. If 25,000 tracks sounds like a lot, you’d be surprised to learn that the limit was actually making Apple’s music locker a tough sell, due in part to stiff competition. Google Music, for instance, lets its non-paid customers store 50,000 tracks for free, while Amazon’s similar service gets you 250,000 tracks worth of storage for the same price as iTunes Match.
Finally, Spotify last week released data on what the world was listening to in 2015 … turns out there was a lot of Drake and a handful of artists with really bad hair. Now, the world’s most popular streaming service has a more personalized report which shows a bunch of interesting stats about what YOU listened to this year.
You get to find out what the first song you played was, your favorite songs, artists, and genres overall, top artists based on the season, total minutes of music listened to, and the total number of artists and songs played, just to start. The info may surprise you and your friends. Spotify has made it extremely easy to share your personalized report with your friends on social media.
And just to wrap it all up in a pretty package, Spotify also generates a special year-end playlist just for you based on the info … which is awesome, unless you share your Spotify account with, say, your 15-year old Stepson. In that sort of case you end up with an oddball mix of Yo Gotti, Miles Davis, Meek Mill and Earth Wind and Fire. And it only gets weirder from there.

The “siege” part of Rainbow Six: Siege refers to its gameplay – in every multiplayer match, one of two five-player teams plays defense while the other attacks, one playing a “terrorist” group and the other a conglomeration of special forces meant to stop them.

The Hiku is a small handheld device that houses a barcode scanner and microphone. The idea is simple, use the mouse-like device to scan items that need restocking around the house. It puts everything into a consolidated shopping list on everyone’s phones — but the execution didn’t always produce the results I wanted.

We’ve put together a list of the best 4K Ultra HD TVs worthy of a spot in your home theater setup.
LG's flat 4K UHD OLED unveiled earlier this year, is spectacular. The 65EF9500 delivers perfect black levels, contrast, color, and HDR.
Samsung's JS9500 series features high dynamic range support and expanded color gamut. It’s ultra-bright and offers impressive black levels delivering eye-popping contrast.
Sony’s flagship TV only comes in one size, 75-inches. The backlighting system allows the X940C to produce the best black levels and screen uniformity available in an LED TV today.
Plasma lovers will be surprised by Panasonic’s X850C LED TV. Their Studio Master Drive processing helps make an LED TV look a lot like a plasma TV. It also get's THX's certification too.
While Sony’s X930C doesn't boast the full array backlighting of the 940, its still a stunning LED TV. It also comes in sizes that'll fit any home theater.

You're probably seeing ads for 4K UHD TV everywhere right now. That's because television is transitioning from HD to the higher resolution 4K UHD. Just like the jump made around a decade ago from SD to HD, this change promises better resolution, cleaner picture, and increased color and brightness.
Simply put 4K UHD is 4 times the resolution of HDTV. It also folds in high dynamic range or HDR for increased brightness and contrast. In addition, the latest 4K UHD TVs are capable on wide color gamut. That delivers color so vivid it's almost better than real life.

In case you hadn’t already heard, Facebook Live Video is coming available for anyone with an iOS device and the Facebook app, pretty much guaranteeing your Facebook news feed will never look the same again.
The new feature launched to a small group of Facebook users yesterday afternoon, and will continue rolling out over the next few days. Now, Facebookers can broadcast live video either to a select group of friends, or the entire Facebook world.
Facebook Live Video is a lot like Periscope, but with more control, and the videos don’t just disappear after 24 hours. People can comment on and like your broadcasts just like they do any other status, and when you’re done, the video lives in your timeline alongside all your other facebooky stuff. This is a big strategic move for Facebook, which wants to feel more live and “now” like Twitter and Snapchat do. Could this mean the end of the food selfie as we know it? We can only hope.
Next, on the heels of that big VTech hack that exposed the account information of over 6.4 million kids comes word that Mattel’s Internet-connected Barbie doll, Hello Barbie, is full of security holes that makes her hack-able. Not entirely unlike Amazon’s Echo speaker, Hello Barbie uses an app and cloud server so that she can listen to kids speaking to her, and then talk back.
The trouble is hackers can pretty easily work their way in, not only pinpointing the exact address for where the doll is, but easily recording whatever the Barbie hears. That’s a potential Trojan Horse security problem, if hackers can record whatever and whenever they want, they can potentially gather sensitive information. Fortunately the holes are supposed to be easy to patch up, and Mattel and software firm ToyTalk say they’re working hard to fix up the problem.
Still, it makes you think twice about bringing devices that listen to you into your home, doesn’t it?
Finally, you have got to see what happens when Volvo outfits one of its dump trucks with a full-on remote control system, loads it full of cameras, rolls it onto a crazy obstacle course, then hands the controls to a 4-year old girl.
Naturally mayhem ensues, and we’re pretty sure that’s exactly what Volvo was hoping for.
Things start out with a nice bashing of the cab by a massive swinging crate, then there’s a good dose of nails-on-chalkboard-style grinding of the axle action, a little bit of fireworks, and then — and this is our favorite part — the truck takes a bit of a wrong turn, ends up doing a barrel roll, lands on its tires, and girlfriend just shrugs her shoulders and keeps on going. Also, she destroys this house and really enjoys it.

On the other hand, the Mini is no competition for the iPad Air. But that's to be expected from the smaller less powerful design.
Still, for its size the iPad Mini is tough to beat. iOS fans will not be disappointed.

The Dell XPS 13 is in most aspects the best notebook of 2015. With excellent battery life, a beautiful display and compact form factor the XPS delivers the best all around ultrabook. Now, sporting Intel’s new 6th-generation Core processors, it's packing even more firepower under the hood.
We reviewed the top of the line XPS with a 13-inch, 3,200 x 1,800 touchscreen, alongside an Intel Core i5-6200U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid state drive.

Sure, Star Wars Battlefront immerses you in a world true to the franchise, but there's a lot of stuff missing from the game.
Here's a look at everything that Dice should have, but didn't include in Star Wars Battlefront.

Hilton latest high-end hotel group to be hit by hackers
Sprint customers can now get $200 credit for every line switched to T-Mobile
Amid challenges, Samsung changes mobile chief for first time in 6 years
Your Christmas lights may be slowing down your Wi-Fi, say government Grinches
If you’re one of those AT&T; Wireless customers sticking with the service for the sole reason that you’re grandfathered into its old unlimited data plan, then prepare yourself for a rate hike. AT&T; announced that legacy customers still grasping onto the plan discontinued five years ago will be getting charged an additional $5 per phone, raising the existing rate to $35.
AT&T; left well enough alone for seven years, but customer’s bills will go up in February 2016. Of course, $35 is still a bargain for unlimited data these days, even if AT&T; reserves the right slow down your speed if you blow through more than 22 gigs per month. Caution: If you switch plans in defiance, the option for the unlimited plan goes away forever.

About a month ago, Chevrolet handed us the keys to the 2LT Camaro V6, for a classic southern road trip. Rolling from Orlando, Florida to New Orleans was much more than a first drive of the new car, it was a chance to explore the gulf coast.
Sure we checked out the 3.6-liter power plant that churns out 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. But we also experienced how it would be to live with on a daily basis.

Finally, Land Rover is giving the world a good look at its Range Rover Evoque Convertible at the LA Auto Show.
Set to compete in a microscopic market of convertible crossovers (its only earnest competition, the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet, is no longer in production), the Range Rover Evoque Convertible will go on sale in mid-2016 in limited production numbers.
Land Rover first revealed the concept version in 2012, and since then, talk of a production version has drawn both criticism and enthusiasm from the automotive community. As we can see, the final design closely matches the styling of the regular Evoque, just without the fixed roof and pillars. When the top folds, it secures flat and flush, maintaining the character lines of the body. Land Rover only offers the fabric roof in Ebony Black, but customers can choose from 13 exterior colors, including the new Waitomo Gray Metallic and Baltoro Ice.

Marketers are faced with the challenge of keeping up with new, hopefully better, strategies that emerge at a rapid rate, while cutting ineffective practices waning in popularity. It’s very valuable for marketers to have benchmark data about how the current digital marketing landscape looks, what’s new, what’s working and what isn’t. Quite often, marketers can gain a competitive advantage simply by being quick to adopt new digital marketing strategies in advance of mass adoption that eventually dilutes the impact of new things.
This study, presented by Jerry Rackley, Chief Analyst at Demand Metric & Jim Hopkins, Sr. Product Manager at Demandbase, took a close look at digital marketing to understand current practices, goals, strategies, metrics and effectiveness. Furthermore, the study investigated how well organizations understand their chosen markets, who in those markets they target as prospects and what their biggest challenges are in the pursuit of success.
