G’day patriots,
A quick note: I’ll be chatting with Phillip Adams on Late Night Live on Radio National tonight.
It’s broadcast at 10pm, again on Friday (November 27) at 4pm, and will be available as a podcast on the LNL webpage.

Great stuff. I’ll be looking forward to that.
Thanks again Andy, and sad to say I do see the far right being on the rise. Unfortunately today there is such a fertile breeding ground for such extremist views. There’s nothing quite like fear and ignorance to fuel the fires of hatred.
Sometimes I feel like Australia is becoming the new South Africa with our own anti Muslim apartheid. Thankfully us lefties are also on the rise. Hopefully one day the voice of reason will completely overshadow and drown out the lunatic fringe. It’s a work in progress.
A reasonable discussion, overall, with Phillip Adams. A bit of a change from his usual superciliousness. His default position is to ridicule people with radical politics on the basis that, as an immature young man, he joined the so-called “Communist” Party of Australia, but he grew out of it. Everybody on the radical Left, therefore, is naive and immature and should grow out of it, too.
Anyway, one area where I think the discussion could usefully have been improved was on the question of the Jews. While the UPF are clearly anti-Semitic, many of the other Fascist groups maintain a strong pro-Israel stance. Both Reclaim Australia and the Patriots Defence League, for example, are big fans of Israel.
I’ve never been a Communist myself, but have always been a Socialist and for a very long time now, an Anarchist. And when I say Anarchist I mean a Socialist Libertarian.

Well that’s your opinion, it’s not a fact. Perhaps that’s been your experience but to then make such a sweeping generalisation based on your limited experience is really no more than an argument from ignorance.
I think Blokey was paraphrasing what he thinks is Philip Adams’s attitude to lefties. I doubt if it is his opinion.
