Health in Kyrgyzstan
In the post-Soviet era, Kyrgyzstan's health system has suffered increasing shortages of health professionals and medicine. Kyrgyzstan must import nearly all its pharmaceuticals. The increasing role of private health services has supplemented the deteriorating state-supported system. In the early 2000s, public expenditures on health care decreased as a percentage of total expenditures, and the ratio of population to number of doctors increased substantially, from 296 per doctor in 1996 to 355 per doctor in 2001. A national primary-care health system, the Manas Program, was adopted in 1996 to restructure the Soviet system that Kyrgyzstan inherited. The number of people participating in this program has expanded gradually, and province-level family medicine training centers now retrain medical personnel. A mandatory medical insurance fund was established in 1997.
Largely because of drug shortages, in the late 1990s and early 2000s the incidence of infectious diseases, especially tuberculosis, has increased. The major causes of death are cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. Official estimates of the incidence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) have been very low (830 cases were officially reported as of February 2006, but the actual number was estimated at 10 times that many). The concentration of HIV cases in Kyrgyzstan’s drug injecting and prison populations makes an increase in HIV incidence likely. More than half of the cases have been in Osh, which is on a major narcotics trafficking route.

Kyrgyzstan (/kɜːrɡɪˈstɑːn/ kur-gi-STAHN;Kyrgyz: Кыргызстан Kyrgyzstan (IPA: [qɯrʁɯsˈstɑn]); Russian: Киргизия or Кыргызстан), officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы Kyrgyz Respublikasy; Russian: Кыргызская Республика Kyrgyzskaya Respublika), formerly known as Kirghizia, is a country located in Central Asia.Landlocked and mountainous, Kyrgyzstan is bordered by Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the south west and China to the east. Its capital and largest city is Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan's history spans over 2,000 years, encompassing a variety of cultures and empires. Although geographically isolated by its highly mountainous terrain – which has helped preserve its ancient culture – Kyrgyzstan has historically been at the crossroads of several great civilizations, namely as part of the Silk Road and other commercial and cultural routes. Though long inhabited by a succession of independent tribes and clans, Kyrgyzstan has periodically come under foreign domination and attained sovereignty as a nation-state only after the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Kyrgyzstan Air Company operating as Air Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyz: Эйр Кыргызстан Авиакомпаниясы, Russian: Авиакомпания «Эйр Кыргызстан»), is the flag carrier of Kyrgyzstan based in Bishkek. It operates scheduled domestic and international services to 10 destinations, as well as charter services. Its main hub is Manas International Airport in Bishkek, with a hub at Osh Airport in Osh.
The airline is on the List of air carriers banned in the European Union.
History
The airline was founded in April 2001 as Altyn Air. It was rebranded as Kyrgyzstan Air Company on 28 July 2006. after taking over national carrier Kyrgyzstan Airlines.

have you ever heard of Kyrgyzstan?, it’s a beautiful small country in central Asia, they speak Kyrgyz, and they were nomads in the past but because of that, they have all sorts of very interesting leftovers from that lifestyle. They love horses 🐎they celebrate them, ride them, eat them, drink their milk, and make drinks like the popular “Kumis”

Located in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan is bordered by Kazakhstan to the northwest and north, by China to the east and south, and by Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to the south and west. Most of Kyrgyzstan's borders run along mountain crests. Formerly a constituent republic of the U.S.S.R., Kyrgyzstan declared its independence on August 31, 1991. The capital is Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan is an amazing, uncommon travel destination. With an incredible display of rivers, waterfalls, and nearly 2,000 lakes, its beautiful mountainous landscape has provided the setting for over 2,000 years of history. We spent 10 days in Kyrgyzstan and explored many of its most famous places.
So our travel plan was to explore the following places in 7 days: Jalgyz-Karagay pass, Song-Kol lake, Tash-Rabat, Chatyr-Kol Lake, Kel-Suu lake, KochKor Village, Eagle Hunting Experience, The Skazka Canyon, Jetty-Oguz red mountains, Karakol village, and Grigorievka gorge.

Health in Kyrgyzstan
In the post-Soviet era, Kyrgyzstan's health system has suffered increasing shortages of health professionals and medicine. Kyrgyzstan must import nearly all its pharmaceuticals. The increasing role of private health services has supplemented the deteriorating state-supported system. In the early 2000s, public expenditures on health care decreased as a percentage of total expenditures, and the ratio of population to number of doctors increased substantially, from 296 per doctor in 1996 to 355 per doctor in 2001. A national primary-care health system, the Manas Program, was adopted in 1996 to restructure the Soviet system that Kyrgyzstan inherited. The number of people participating in this program has expanded gradually, and province-level family medicine training centers now retrain medical personnel. A mandatory medical insurance fund was established in 1997.
Largely because of drug shortages, in the late 1990s and early 2000s the incidence of infectious diseases, especially tuberculosis, has increased. The major causes of death are cardiovascular and respiratory conditions. Official estimates of the incidence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) have been very low (830 cases were officially reported as of February 2006, but the actual number was estimated at 10 times that many). The concentration of HIV cases in Kyrgyzstan’s drug injecting and prison populations makes an increase in HIV incidence likely. More than half of the cases have been in Osh, which is on a major narcotics trafficking route.
