Franck is an insignificant drama-teacher by day, but also belongs to a nameless and leaderless militant organisation - the Animal Liberation Front. These characters are bound by a limitless empathy towards mistreated animals, and will have to show courage to complete a mission they have been preparing for months. Their goal is to free dogs, condemned to be sold to laboratories for the purpose of live experiments. Their philosophy: when something has gone beyond the boundaries of reason, you have to forget about what's legal, and care about what seems right. During the questioning, Franck understands that one of his fellow campaigners betrayed him.

Quotes:
[Reading a note next to the dead Hilda]::Dr. Tart: Hilda is dead, and here's something to note. You can't bury her at sea, 'cause her bosoms will float.
Justin: This is Inspector Winship and Dr. Tart. They were in the yard.::Inspector Winship: That's FROM the Yard.
Mr. Uwatsum: How about a nice bowl of fish eyes?::Inspector Winship: Will you pardon me, please?::Mr. Uwatsum: Ah... Do you like hummingbird cookies?::Dr. Tart: ...No, thank you.
Inspector Winship: For a short person, you have long sentences.
Dr. Tart: You want another glass of pus?::Inspector Winship: No I don't want another glass of pus!
Inspector Winship: You know, I have an idea. Whoever wrote that letter must have read about us in the newspaper.::Dr. Tart: What is it?::Inspector Winship: What's what?::Dr. Tart: The idea you have?::Inspector Winship: I just told you!::Dr. Tart: What was it?::Inspector Winship: Whoever wrote that letter must have read about us in the newspaper.::Dr. Tart: Right! Now that letter was signed 'Lord Morley'. So he must have read about us in the newspaper and called us in to solve his murder.::Inspector Winship: How could Lord Morley write us after he was already dead?::Dr. Tart: Right! You know what? Maybe whoever killed Lord Morley wrote that letter.::Inspector Winship: If you killed Lord Morley would you write to someone and ask them to find the killer?::Dr. Tart: Are you saying *I* killed Lord Morley?::Inspector Winship: (aggravated) No! I'm saying you kill me!
Dr. Tart: [reading the note from Jock's killer] If Jock could talk, he'd give you a clue. But now that he's dead, what can you do? He deserved what he got, I don't regret it a bit. By the way, you're standing in bull ca-ca.
Dr. Tart: [reading the note from the killer] I said when I died, that I'd come back. If you believe in ghosts, you're on the right track. I'm out of the grave, and roaming the moores. If you want to be safe, you better lock all the windows and screens.
Doll voice: Listen up dummies. The help is all gone, the house is bare. Now you know, a shadow is there. There's one left to die, then my job'll be done. I like killing people, it's a lotta kicks!
Dr. Tart: [reading the note from Uwatsum's killer] In this house, it's hard to survive. Some'll be dead, who are now alive. Mr. Uwatsum is gone, 'cause he knew too much. Bye for now, but rest assured we'll keep in constant contact with each other.

Why Isn't Tibet Free?
For over 60 years, Tibetans have sought autonomy from Chinese rule and to no avail. Recent reports suggest that the region's current leader and longest living incumbent, the 14th Dalai Lama, will be the last of his kind unless Tibet gains its freedom. Will China ever grant Tibet independence? What does it mean if the Dalai Lama doesn't have a successor?

Ancient Tibet | The End of Time | Ancient Discoveries
Tibetan history, as it has been recorded, is particularly focused on the history of Buddhism in Tibet. This is partly due to the pivotal role this religion has played in the development of Tibetan, Mongol, and Manchu cultures, and partly because almost all native historians of the country were Buddhist monks.

3 HOURS Long Tibetan Singing Bowl Meditation Chakra Healing | Third Eye | Brow Chakra
The Third Eye Chakra transcends time. It is located at the brow, above the base of the nose.
The gift of this chakra is seeing - both inner and outer worlds. The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self reflection.
Through the gift of seeing we can internalize the outer world and with symbolic language we can externalize the inner world.
The energy of Ajna allows us to access our inner guidance that comes from the depths of our being. It allows us to cut through illusion and to access deeper truths - to see beyond the mind, beyond the words.
The "way of the third eye" is seeing everything as it is from a point of "witness" or "observer", or from simply being mindful - moment by moment.
It means examining self-limiting ideas and developing wisdom that comes from a perspective that transcends the duality of good or bad, black or white. It means seeing and helping others to see the deeper meanings of the situations in their lives.
Sixth chakra is holistic in nature. When this chakra is fully activated, both hemispheres of the brain function in synchrony. The right hemisphere's creativity and synthetic thinking is integrated and balanced with left hemisphere's logical and analytical thinking.
The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom, but also a seat of conscience. This is where you not only see what is going on, but you also know what it means. This is where your sense of justice and your ethics originate. When your third eye is open, you not only see but you also understand.

Travel video about destination Tibet.
Tibet is a relatively little known and mysterious land of snow high up in the Himalayas that borders Nepal, Bhutan ad India. It is protected by the highest mountains in the world and is a region that has developed a unique society whose philosophy, art and religious faith have earned much interest and respect.Lhasa is the capital of Tibet and also its largest city. The Barkhor Road extends for eight hundred metres around the Jokhang Temple and nearby Tsuklakhang Square. For the faithful a visit to the Jokhang Temple is the highlight of a long and arduous pilgrimage and the Dalai Lama once sat in its inner courtyard during the monks’ annual final examination, which was also a splendid festive event. On the other side of the Chakpori, a small mountain opposite Potala, is the seldom visited Sang Gya Thong Ku Temple that is somewhat hidden away and therefore off the tourist trail. This ‘temple of a thousand images of god’ is nevertheless very popular among devout Buddhists and is a place of silent prayer. The Yarlung Valley is full of history such as possessing the oldest field in Tibet, as well as the oldest village that is located at the foot of the country’s oldest fortress, Yom Bu La Khang, the rock palace of the country’s first mystic king. One of the largest monuments in Tibetan architecture is the unique Kumbum Chörten, a three-dimensional mandala that can be entered. Eyes decorate the upper part of the Stupa. The ritual walkabout begins on the lowest level with simple deities then follows the entire Pantheon of Tibet, immortalised in both sculptures and wall paintings. Despite Chinese influence, Tibet is still a religiously devout country with a fascinating monastery culture and amazing natural scenery. Tashi Delek! Happiness and Blessings! On the “roof of the world” one is always close to the gods…!...

Why is Tibet Important to China:
Before 1959, the present area of the Tibet Autonomous Region was governed by the government of Tibet (headed by the Dalai Lama). But, today, Tibet is part of China. Tibet is the second-largest province of China by area. The Communist government of China believe that Tibet is their territory and "reclaimed" at the end of its civil war. Here is several reason why Tibet is important to China.
First, Tibet's strategic significant of China's geopolitical. As we know, Tibet serving as a buffer region between China and India. Control of Tibet gave China a boundary with Pakistan, and access to the Arabian Sea. Tibet would also have threatened Beijing's access to Xinjiang. Tibet is a vital link between China, south and central Asia.
Second, Tibet's natural energy resources. According to the Ministry of Water Resources and the China State Power Group, The Tibet has 448.2 billion cubic meters of water. Tibet producing approximately 200 million kw of natural hydro energy annually, or about 30 percent of China's total. Tibet also rich in geothermal, solar and wind energy. More than 100 sites in Tibet have good geothermal energy reserves.
Third, Tibet's mineral resources. Since 1999, Chinese geologists have discovered more than 600 new sites of copper, iron, lead and zinc ore deposits on Tibet. 11 mineral reserves including chromium, iron, lithium, copper and boron rank first-fifth in China. China ships its own experts and workers to Tibet to remove these resources. The China-Tibet railroad is allowing for faster extraction of iron, copper, natural gas, and oil from Tibet.
Fourth, forestry in Tibet. Tibet has one of the oldest forest reserves in central Asia. As we know, southern, eastern and southeastern parts of Tibet have alpine, temperate,sub-tropical and even tropical forests. With forest coverage stands at 9.8% of the area, Tibet being one of China's biggest forest areas. Tibet has one of the greatest resources of the economic plants in use of making fabrics, spices, food and paper, etc.
Fifth, Tibet's tourism. Tourism in Tibet is a large part of China's business interest here. Tibet is home to the Buddhist and the area is picturesque and old. Thats why, Tibet is interesting for tourist. In recent years Tibet's tourism has expanded rapidly, especially after the finish of Qingzang Railway in July 2006. Unfortunately, spirituality, now, mixes with commercialism in Tibet. Usually, young monks running up to tourist, and asking for money.
Ironically, according to a new UN report on the quality of life of the Tibetan people indicates that Tibetans are virtually at the bottom of the economic and social ladder. Most of the economic benefits from Tibet go to migrant Han Chinese. Tibet still remains one of China's poorest spots.

The Miss Tibet beauty pageant claims to give women a platform to highlight Tibetan issues, drawing attention to the the plight of the its people as well as the brilliance of the lifestyle and culture.
For Director Lobsang Wangyal, the event is not just a beauty pageant, but a political act, "celebrating our identity, our culture and our proud tradition", whilst "implicitly asserting" Tibet as a nation and Tibetans as a people. But does the pageant really empower its women, or simply exploit them further?

Travel video about destination Lhasa in Tibet.
Now an autonomous region of China,.Tibet is an intriguing and mysterious land of snow high up in the Himalayas that borders Nepal, Bhutan and India. For centuries it was a dream destination for scientists, adventurers and missionaries and, once almost inaccessible, it was a blossoming yet hidden kingdom. Lhasa, the ‘holy city’ and ‘place of the gods’ is the capital of Tibet and also its largest city. The Jokhang Temple was originally built as a shrine for a special Buddha statue. In the seventh century the statue was a valuable wedding gift from the Chinese Emperor to Princess Wen Chen who had it transported to Lhasa. Around seven kilometres west of Lhasa’s city centre is the old summer residence of various former Dalai Lamas. The Norbuling Ka, Garden Of Gems, has been deserted since the end of the 1950’s because in 1959 the last Dalai Lama was forced into exile by the Chinese. A pilgrim trail leads up to Drepung Gonba that was built in 1416 by a scholar of Tsongkhapa who was the founder of the Gelug Order. The Gelug Academy is the earliest of the four main doctrines of Tibetan Buddhism and the followers of this order are also known as Yellow Caps. Lhasa is a a city of gods on the roof of the world and is undoubtedly one of the last mysterious locations on Earth.

The Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China, was the chief residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to India during the 1959 Tibetan uprising. It is now a museum and World Heritage Site.
Built at an altitude of 3,700 m (12,100 ft), on the side of Marpo Ri ('Red Mountain') in the center of Lhasa Valley, the Potala Palace, with its vast inward-sloping walls broken only in the upper parts by straight rows of many windows, and its flat roofs at various levels, is not unlike a fortress in appearance.

Co-founder of a walking-tour firm says tourism can lead to greater understanding
Egypt has become a popular tourist destination for Chinese, with many flocking to see the natural wonders and relics of its ancient civilization.
Yet while more Chinese gain a better understanding of that country, relatively few Egyptians are traveling the other way.
For software engineer and part-time hiking guide Karim Muhammad, that needs to change.
The 31-year-old, who has lived in the East China city of Shanghai for more than three years, says more needs to be done to attract more of his fellow countrymen to visit the Middle Kingdom, so that they can gain a greater understanding of the culture as well as share theirs with local Chinese.
The current people-to-people contact is just not strong enough to maintain the countries' booming relations, he says as President Xi Jinping prepares to visit Egypt this month.
Stereotypes still exist, he says. "I was once asked by a Shanghai taxi driver whether I lived in a pyramid. Many people back in Egypt also think similar things, such as Chinese people eat everything on the Great Wall."
So, when talking about encouraging Chinese tourists to support Egyptian tourism, one of the country's economic pillars, it is also worth noting that the need to interest more Egyptians in visiting China is equally important in terms of enhancing mutual understanding, he says.
Too few Egyptians would consider China as a holiday destination, he adds, "but every single Egyptian I know has changed their view of China after they have visited".
Muhammad works full time for a company that makes software for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In 2014 he and several friends set up Xuantu Sport Development (Shanghai) Ltd, a hiking company that runs tours along some of China's best trails, mainly catering to international visitors.
He says the company provides a small but effective way for those who want to see China's wonders, adding that the country's varied landscapes would be tempting for many Egyptian hikers - as evidenced by the response he receives back home to his Facebook posts.
"The landscapes (in China and Egypt) are so distinct from each other, apart from some desert areas," he says.
Another co-founder of Xuantu is Li Yin. She agrees hiking can be a window to understanding China but says more efforts are needed to develop the sector. "That's why we need people like Muhammad - to bring new friends to China.
In addition to Egypt, the company's hiking team includes guides from China, Spain, France, the United States and Australia.
According to Lee, the main destinations for foreign hikers are the mountainous areas of Zhejiang and Anhui provinces in the east, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces and the Tibet autonomous region in the southwest, Shanxi province and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region in the north, and Heilongjiang province in the northeast.
Muhammad started work with the software company in 2009 after graduating from Cairo University with a bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunications. He has been assigned to work in several countries, including India, the US, Malaysia and South Korea.
He says China's hiking market is immature but has lots of potential thanks to the natural conditions.
"It's a wild experience in China, and you will always need guidance either from locals or people who have completed a trail before," he says. "Yet in South Korea, trail maps are precise and clear enough that planning a weekend hike there only takes an hour or so. There, I usually went solo, but in China that's impossible."

Kailash Mansarovar yatra - an adventurous journey in Religion & Spirituality [Free Tibet] 01 of 02

A video presentation showcasing the journey undertaken by a group of travelers from Maharashtra to Mount Kailash & Lake Manasarovar, commonly known as the Kailash Manasarovar yatra.
This adventurous journey of faith & religion is undertaken by scores of Hindus each year. Included in the video are useful information & experiences of the travelers who were part of the journey. The video is a helpful guide for those who wish to embark on the journey themselves. Though the narration is in Marathi, if you do not understand the language, the visual beauty of the journey should itself make the video worth a watch.
In order to reach the destination, one has to travel to Tibet, currently under the illegal occupation of China. China, defying belief & credibility, calls it Tibet Autonomous Region. However, in reality, Chinese-occupied Tibet would be a better description of the place.
China's tyranny & oppression on the people of Tibet continues, even as it expands its global footprint, threatening the peace & stability of the regions it has made its presence felt. In order to suppress rebellion & legitimate aspiration of freedoms of indigenous Tibetans, the Communist Party of China has been artificially relocating Han Chinese from mainland China and re-settling them in occupied-Tibet, thereby forcing a change of demography in the region. As a result of such large-scale settlement of people, Tibetans are on way to becoming minority in their own land. This is causing the rich, indigenous Tibetan culture & practices to slowly recede from daily life in Tibet, being replaced by that followed by Han Chinese.
With an expanding military, smaller neighboring countries are feeling the heat of China's hegemonic intentions, vise-a-vis its territorial claims over regions it fancies but currently rightfully & legitimately administered by other countries.

Tibet will further boost tourism industry by improving its infrastructure construction and promoting its unique natural and cultural tourism resources.
Tourism is the pillar industry for the Chinese region.
Official figures show, in 1980, only about 3,500 people visited Tibet.
In the first eight months of this year, Tibet received 14.3 million tourists, generating three billion U.S. dollars in revenue.
SOUNDBITE (CHINESE) TIAN YONG, Coffee shop owner in Lhasa:
"I can earn a satisfactory amount of money during the travel season -- about 2,000 yuan (330 U.S. dollars) each day and that would add up to 60,000 yuan (10,000 dollars) a month."
Tourism revenue accounts for over 20 percent of the region's GDP.
With about one tenth of Tibet's 3.1 million people living under the poverty line, the regional government aims at creating more jobs and improving people's livelihood by promoting tourism.
The autonomous region expects to attract more travelers from south Asia by tapping into the "Belt and Road" initiative.
SOUNDBITE (CHINESE) LOSANG JAMCAN, Chairman of Tibet regional government:
"Tibet will tap into the Belt and Road initiative to open the door of tourism and cultural exchange with south Asian countries."
To further boost tourism, the autonomous region will encourage airlines to launch more domestic and international flights.
Tibet now has five airports which operate 58 flights, but the only direct international flight into Lhasa is from Nepal's Kathmandu.
The government believes that with more flights and better infrastructure, remote attractions in southwest Tibet can be powerful draws.
The region aims to host 17 million tourists this year.

Mekong River tour 2015 - Mekong River cruises 2015

The Mekong is a trans-boundary river in Southeast Asia. It is the world's 12th-longest river and the 7th-longest in Asia. Its estimated length is 4,350 km (2,703 mi), and it drains an area of 795,000 km2 (307,000 sq mi), discharging 457 km3 (110 cu mi) of water annually.
From the Tibetan Plateau this river runs through China's Yunnan province, Burma (Myanmar), Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. In 1995, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam established the Mekong River Commission to assist in the management and coordinated use of the Mekong's resources. In 1996 China and Burma (Myanmar) became "dialogue partners" of the MRC and the six countries now work together within a cooperative framework.
The extreme seasonal variations in flow and the presence of rapids and waterfalls in this river have made navigation difficult. The river is a major trading route linking China’s southwestern province of Yunnan to Laos, Burma (Myanmar) and Thailand to the south, an important trade route between western China and Southeast Asia.
Course
=========
The Mekong rises as the Za Qu and soon becomes known as the Lancang (Lantsang) in the "Three Rivers Source Area" on the Tibetan Plateau in the Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve; the reserve protects the headwaters of, from north to south, the Yellow (Huang He), the Mekong, and the Yangtze Rivers.[3] It flows through the Tibetan Autonomous Region and then southeast into Yunnan Province, and then through the Three Parallel Rivers Area in the Hengduan Mountains, along with the Yangtze to its east and the Salween River (Nujiang in Chinese) to its west.
The Mekong then meets the tripoint of China, Burma (Myanmar) and Laos. From there it flows southwest and forms the border of Burma and Laos for about 100 kilometres (62 mi) until it arrives at the tripoint of Burma, Laos, and Thailand. This is also the point of confluence between the Ruak River (which follows the Thai-Burma border) and the Mekong. The area of this tripoint is sometimes termed the Golden Triangle, although the term also refers to the much larger area of those three countries that is notorious as a drug producing region.
From the Golden Triangle tripoint, the Mekong turns southeast to briefly form the border of Laos with Thailand. It then turns east into the interior of Laos, flowing first east and then south for some 400 kilometres (250 mi) before meeting the border with Thailand again. Once more, it defines the Laos-Thailand border for some 850 kilometres (530 mi) as it flows first east, passing in front of the capital of Laos, Vientiane, then turns south. A second time, the river leaves the border and flows east into Laos soon passing the city of Pakse. Thereafter, it turns and runs more or less directly south, crossing into Cambodia.
At Phnom Penh the river is joined on the right bank by the river and lake system the Tonlé Sap. When the Mekong is low, the Tonle Sap is a tributary; water flows from the lake and river into the Mekong. When the Mekong floods, the flow reverses; the floodwaters of the Mekong flow up the Tonle Sap.
Immediately after the Sap River joins the Mekong by Phnom Penh, the Bassac River branches off the right (west) bank. The Bassac River is the first and main distributary of the Mekong; thus, this is the beginning of the Mekong Delta. The two rivers, the Bassac to the west and the Mekong to the east, enter Vietnam very soon after this. In Vietnam, the Bassac is called the Hậu River (Sông Hậu or Hậu Giang); the main, eastern, branch of the Mekong is called the Tiền River or Tiền Giang. In Vietnam, distributaries of the eastern (main, Mekong) branch include the Mỹ Tho River, the Ba Lai River, the Hàm Luông River, and the Cổ Chiên River.

China is incurring huge expenditure in transferring and consolidating the Chinese population in Tibet. Massive investment has been made to build a network of modern highways all over Tibet. China can also boast of having laid the highest railway track in the world that connects Lhasa with Beijing. In fact, China often complains that its civilizing mission in Tibet is costing the government and people of China large amounts in terms of subsidies to an under-developed region. According to official Chinese statistics, the level of annual subsidies to the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) in the late 1980s was around 1 billion yuan or $270 million. However, all the infrastructure that China has built in Tibet has not made the lives of the native Tibetans any better; it has only taken the exploitative apparatuses of the Chinese government deeper.
