Creed (2015) Rant - Very Overrated

I was paid to see Star Wars: The Full of Shit Awakens...since the opportunity arose, I secretly saw another film...called Creed. Creed? More like Crud... Because that's how I felt after seeing that overrated and BORING as hell movie that had NO Adrenaline in its' training sequences, horrendous music (fuck that rap shit), a useless love story where the two had NO chemistry with each other, way too Damn Overlong (2 hours and 13 minutes? Are you kidding me?), and it is EXACTLY what I thought it would be...a remake of Rocky 1, Rocky 5, and Rocky Balboa put together... And the film did not make me feel anything but sleepy, restless, bored, and 'I want to quit this movie' type of feelings. Is Stallone good? Sure. But I don't get why THIS performance is on people's radars...he had GREAT stuff in Lock Up, Cop Land, Rocky Balboa, Over the Top...but this is the one that people go 'Wow!'? Really? He plays Rocky and then 'gets sick and goes into Chemo'. That's it! I found more from him in Rocky Balboa...his speeches like 'The World Ain't All Sunshine and Rainbows'...or his speech to the commission...or breaking down to Paulie when he talks about 'it wasn't supposed to be this hard!'...THAT wowed me. As did his roles in Lock Up, Over the Top, EYE SEE YOU!! That's a Great, underrated Performance. And Michael B. Jordan? I like the actor...but for me? He was One Note. I'm sorry, I just don't see what people saw in it. The fights? Done well Technically...but I felt Nothing. I felt no Heart, I felt no Passion, I felt no Energy, and I felt no Adrenaline. I would gladly watch any of the previous films...yes, I include ROCKY V (I can honestly watch that as a timewaster. I don't hate that film...and yeah, it is NO LONGER my least favorite)...over Crud I mean Creed. It's cool that you guys loved it. I sat there dumbfounded at what I was seeing. Creed is a guy who I don't relate to...and I don't like. Also, Apollo Creed cheated on his wife? I don't buy that BS. And then this kid has a rich place to live while Creed's wife took him in...gets a promotion...and quits (even though he got a great job with a promotion) to be a boxer. This does NOT work for me. Rocky's story works because he really had Nowhere to go...he really was in the slums. This Creed guy just chose it. That does nothing for me...and again, to me Jordan had not much range or emotion, the music fucking sucked, tons of shit just reminded me of the previous films (and when you have training scenes and I'm gettin BORED by them? SOMETHING is wrong!!) Yeah...I know someone will give me 50 explanations (Yeah, I remember hearing 'because to see i wasn't a mistake'...but that line came in too little and way too late in the game) on their views on Creed or whatever else. I DO NOT care. Why? Because when you give those reasons, it is almost as if you are trying to woo me over to your side...I have heard the arguments from research. I do not buy it nor agree with it. I am not changing my opinion. I hated it. This was a pointless story...I saw Rocky Balboa in a theater and LOVED it. I cheered inside. I smiled at Rocky raising his arms up one final time after having a fight in the ring. I misty-eyed when Rocky said Good-Bye to Adrian and faded away into the distance. And this movie comes along for this bullshit...just to end with 'Rocky and younger guy on top of the steps'. I SAW THAT IN ROCKY 5...I mean hell...at least in THAT MOVIE? It's Sly's actual kid (may he Rest in Peace) followed by a great song/end credits of Elton John's Measure of Man. I mean, fuck...this makes me APPRECIATE Rocky 5 more. It really does...and again, Rocky Balboa was the Perfect Ending. No More. Over. FINISHED! Everyone else loves Crud and Full of Shit Awakens. That's okay. But these films just proved as to why I had zero interest in them from the beginning. And why I had zero interest from seeing the trailers. They proved for me everything I said in that 'Stop Remaking Nostalgia' video. And it just proves that...I will ONLY SEE movies that I/MYSELF am interested in. I will NOT see any more new films unless I am Paid from Paypal for it. Because the money I was paid is the ONLY Smile I got for this Christmas Eve. But you should know by now that I NEVER hold back. Some people say it's a fault. To me? It's the only way I can do it. Have a good Christmas.
