In each episode, we see Jack and Jill struggle with the pitfalls of dating in a world that too often relies on technology and contemporary social norms. Can the two overcome the obstacles of dating in the electronic age to find each other and true love? Perhaps. Can they do a lot of really goofy stuff along the way? Definitely.

Mariah MacCarthy (NYtheatre.com’s 2012 “Person of the Year”) reunites with director Christina Roussos on their 2012 New York Fringe festival hit Magic Trick (winner of the Lotos Foundation Prize in the Arts and Sciences and the Doric Wilson Independent Playwright Award).
A three-hander as surprising as it is sexy, Magic Trick subverts audience expectations we don’t even know we have. Bana, a beautiful paraplegic who everyone falls in love with, is missing. Eric, her (ex?) boyfriend, can’t find her. Clara, that burlesque dancer they almost had a threesome with, gets naked and won’t leave his apartment. And just when he thinks it might all be over, Eric finally finds Bana…on the burlesque stage.
Magic Trick is a nonlinear story of heartbreak and burlesque, jumping time in the tradition of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Last Five Years. With characters that are complicated, funny, and above all human, MacCarthy paints a portrait of people figuring out what it means to be in love while also staying true to oneself.

Magic Trick (film)
Magic Trick is a short film made in 1953 by Orson Welles, for use in a show by magician Richard Himber. It involves Welles on-screen interacting with Himber off-screen as the two play a card trick, and would have been projected life-size (in black and white) during Himber's touring stage show in the 1950s.
It was the first time Welles had filmed any magic tricks since his segment in the 1944 film Follow the Boys (which in turn used tricks Welles originally staged in the 1943 The Mercury Wonder Show); and from the late 1960s onwards, Welles would perform more of these tricks in public, most notably in The Orson Welles Show (1979) and Orson Welles' Magic Show (1976-85).
Subsequent use of the footage by David Copperfield
Magician David Copperfield resurrected the footage for use in his 1992 CBS TV special, The Magic of David Copperfield XIV: Flying - Live the Dream. In it, he interacted with the footage to repeat the same card trick, claiming that he was communicating with Orson Welles from beyond the grave.

Executive producer
An executive producer (EP) enables the making of a commercial entertainment product. The EP may be concerned with management accounting and/or with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP generally contributes to the film's budget and may or may not work on set.
Motion pictures
In motion pictures, an executive producer oversees the filmmaking with regard to film finance. Executive producers liaise with the line producer and report to production companies and distributors.
Television
In television, an executive producer often supervises the creative content as well as the financial aspects of a production. Some writers (for example Stephen J. Cannell and Tina Fey) have been the creator and also the producer of the same TV show. Other dual roles may include the executive director(s) starring in the show they produce, such as Full Throttle Saloon reality TV star, Jesse James Dupree. Still other shows may have more than one executive producer working on a TV show where there can be one among them who outranks the others. This position is known as the "showrunner," or operational executive producer.

Mariah MacCarthy (NYtheatre.com’s 2012 “Person of the Year”) reunites with director Christina Roussos on their 2012 New York Fringe festival hit Magic Trick (winner of the Lotos Foundation Prize in the Arts and Sciences and the Doric Wilson Independent Playwright Award).
A three-hander as surprising as it is sexy, Magic Trick subverts audience expectations we don’t even know we have. Bana, a beautiful paraplegic who everyone falls in love with, is missing. Eric, her (ex?) boyfriend, can’t find her. Clara, that burlesque dancer they almost had a threesome with, gets naked and won’t leave his apartment. And just when he thinks it might all be over, Eric finally finds Bana…on the burlesque stage.
Magic Trick is a nonlinear story of heartbreak and burlesque, jumping time in the tradition of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Last Five Years. With characters that are complicated, funny, and above all human, MacCarthy paints a portrait of people figuring out what it means to be in love while also staying true to oneself.
