Through parts of the 90s, I was developing graphics software and in my spare time watching videos like Studio K7's 3Lux & X-Mix series'.
During that time, I produced A LOT of animation - most of it is long-long lost.
My aim was always that these short pieces should be edited together and be accompanied by my electronic music. But, at the time, that technology was just too expensive.
By the time I could afford to do that, what was left of my animation sat in a cardboard box of slowly decaying floppy discs as I had moved on to working with "real" video.
Finally dug out of the archives and assembled into it's intended form for the first time 20-odd years later with an analogue synth (Korg Mono/Poly, Korg MS-10, Digital Delay) track that was recorded live onto cassette (because that was the only production technique I could afford) it's finally completed.
I think I've got enough "good" material to do another one... so watch this space.

Thousands of anti-gay activists rallied in the Georgian capital Tbilisi on Saturday demanding the abolition of an anti-discrimination law recently passed by the parliament.
The protesters, led by Georgian Orthodox priests, held banners denouncing same sex marriage and gay rights.
The Georgian Orthodox Church claims the anti-discrimination bill contradicts Georgia's traditional values and legalises gay propaganda.
The adoption of the bill was a pre-condition to an association agreement between Georgia and the European Union, which will strengthen Tbilisi's economic and political ties with EU countries.
The signing of the agreement is scheduled for late June.
Saturday's march comes on the anniversary of clashes between anti-gay activists and LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) supporters in Tbilisi last year, which left several people injured.

Thai troops patrolled the outskirts of Bangkok early on Thursday morning as the city remained under martial law, two days after it was imposed by the chief of the country's army.
On Wednesday, General Prayuth Chan-ocha assumed the role of mediator by summoning the country's key political rivals for face-to-face talks.
The meeting ended without resolution, underscoring the immense challenges the army will face in trying to broker an end to the conflict.
More talks are set for Thursday.
Despite the imposition of martial law, protesters led by former lawmaker Suthep Thaugsuban say they will not give up.
Since last week, they have pressed the army, the Senate and the nation's courts to install a "neutral" Prime Minister - something the government says is a threat to the nation's democratic system and would be tantamount to a judicial coup.
There are fears that if that happens, the government's "Red Shirt" supporters, who are now massing on the edge of Bangkok under the watchful eye of the army, will rise up and there will be more bloodshed.

French Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron unveiled new policies on Wednesday aimed at freeing up France's notoriously inflexible labour rules and regulations.
"Macron's Law," as the bill has been dubbed, has sharply divided French President Francois Hollande's own Socialist Party but drawn praise from France's powerful business lobby, Medef.
One of the most controversial measures aims at relaxing rules on stores' Sunday and evening opening hours, especially in tourist areas.
At a news conference in Paris, Macro described that aspect of the law as "a good thing and a step forward for society".
Besides relaxing rules on opening hours, other measures include removing some restrictions on new bus lines to increase competition with national rail operator SNCF, and opening up regulated professions such as notaries and auctioneers to greater competition.
The bill also calls for reforming France's complex system of labour relations boards.
"It's about doing everything for competitiveness and growth," said French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
"It's about giving ourselves the means to free up our country and to liberate our energies," he added.
The French parliament will only begin debating the bill next month.
But it has already sparked controversy and thousands of people opposed to the bill protested on the streets of Paris on Wednesday.

Thousands of young people celebrated on the streets of Lima on Monday after Peru's congress revoked a law that eliminated various labour rights for workers aged 18 to 24.
Crowds of people who had been marching towards the Congress building in protest against the law erupted into jubilant cheers and set off fireworks when they heard the news.
The lawmakers voted to repel the law during an extraordinary session - with 91 votes in favour of the annulment to 18 against it.
There were five abstentions.
The law was proposed by the government last month with the aim of reactivating the economy, but it was met with mass protests across Peru.
The government claimed it would reduce the informal labour market among the poorest people with little experience.
However, experts contended that the rules didn't guarantee formal employment for young people.
They argued that, on the contrary, it would allow up to 25 percent of employees in large and medium-sized companies to be replaced with "cheaper" young people in positions that require few specialist skills.
According to official figures, the unemployment rate among those aged between 18 and 24 is four times higher than among those aged 30 to 65.

wn.com/Students Celebrate As New Labour Law Repealed

Hundreds of farmers and protesters gathered in New Delhi on Tuesday, demanding that the government withdraw recent amendments to land acquisition laws and calling the move "anti-farmer".
They gathered in the heart of the Indian capital, waving flags and chanting slogans on the second day of a two-day protest led by anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare.
Hazare warned the protesters that they must "be prepared to make sacrifices" in what he called a "second fight for independence."
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of the Aam Aadmi Party or the Common Man's party was also present, showing his support for the protest.
Farmer rights' groups are opposing the controversial amendments to the land acquisition law, proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government.
The amendments would make it easier for industries and government to acquire land belonging to farmers, the groups claim.
In December last year, the government had passed an executive order making changes in the Land Acquisition Act, including removal of a farmer consent clause.

The Republican-led House voted on Wednesday to repeal President Barack Obama's health care law.
But the election-year move stands no chance in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
The symbolic vote was 244-185.
By Republican count, it was the 33rd time in 18 months that the Republican majority has tried to scrap, remove funding, or scale back the law since grabbing the majority.
John Boehner, House Majority Leader - Republican, said the bill had failed to deliver on its promises and was actually doing the opposite.
"This bill is making our economy worse, driving up the cost of health care and making it harder for small businesses to hire new workers," he added saying that most Americans "not only oppose this law, but they fully support repealing it."
Democrats said repeal would eliminate consumer protections that already have improved the lives of (m) millions of Americans.
The vote came two weeks after the Supreme Court ruled that the law, Obama's signature domestic achievement, was constitutional.
Steny Hoyer, House Minority Whip and Democrat, said the debate was "a waste of time" as Republicans with the majority were never going to let it go through.
Republicans say voters in November will have the final say.
In a Washington Post/ABC News poll this month, 47 percent of those surveyed said they opposed the law, 47 percent said they supported it and 6 percent expressed no opinion.

Mario Monti handed in his resignation to Italy's president in Rome on Friday, bringing to a close his 13-month technical government and preparing the country for national elections.
With the short trip to the president's office, Monti kept his pledge to step down as soon as Parliament approved a budget law.
President Giorgio Napolitano, who chose Monti in November 2011 to come up with reforms to shield Italy from the continent's debt crisis, asked Monti to stay on as head of a caretaker government until the national vote, expected in February.
In what was his last official public act as premier, Monti earlier told foreign diplomats in Rome on Friday that his year-old technical government had rendered the country "more trustworthy."
Monti cited structural reforms, such as measures to improve competition and liberalise services, as well as the recently approved anti-corruption law.
Monti's address to diplomats coincided with the lower house of Parliament's final approval of the budget law, which the premier promised to see through before stepping down.
Monti took over as head of a technical government in November 2011 as Italy's borrowing costs soared in a clear market vote of no-confidence in Silvio Berlusconi's ability to reform Italy's economy.
Monti announced he would resign after Berlusconi's parliamentary party withdrew its support for his government, accelerating national elections now expected in February.
Earlier on Friday, Monti quipped that the impending end of his technical government "was not the fault of the Mayan prophecy," referring to a doomsday prediction by some New Agers.
Monti will give his year-end news conference on Sunday, when he is expected to announce whether he will participate in the election campaign.

Spain's conservative government on Friday approved an abortion law that rolls back current legislation permitting the procedure without restrictions until the 14th week of pregnancy.
The country's Justice Minister, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardon, said that abortion will only be allowed in the case of rape or when there is a serious mental or physical health risk to the mother.
In those circumstances, "no action" would be taken against a woman if she decides to have an abortion, he said during a news conference in Madrid.
Accredited foetal deformities that would endanger a child's life if born will also be accepted.
The likelihood of the child born being disabled will not in itself be accepted as a justification for abortion.
Ruiz-Gallardon added that 16 and 17-year-olds will once again have to obtain permission from their parents, and be accompanied by them, to have an abortion.
The decision prompted both demonstrations in support and against the law.
Those in support of the new bill called it an "historic day for Spain."
But the bill, which must be approved by parliament, has been vigorously opposed by most opposition parties and women's groups across the country.
Abortion rights demonstrators believe the bill limits women's rights and freedoms.
"It's not compulsory to have an abortion for people who do not want to have one," said Mariqueta Vazquez, an abortion rights demonstrator. "There are always lots of reasons for women to have an abortion, they don't want to, no woman wants to (have an abortion)."
Gallardon's ruling Popular Party has always sided heavily with the Catholic Church on moral and social issues.

Reax after Egypt's president issues law restricting protests; analyst

Rights groups and activists in Egypt have denounced a new law banning public gatherings of more than 10 people without prior government approval.
The law imposes hefty fines and prison terms for violators.
It is more restrictive than regulations used under the rule of autocrat Hosni Mubarak, overthrown in Egypt's 2011 uprising that marked the start of unrest in the country.
Bahy Eddin Hassan, head of the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies, one of the local groups that had campaigned against the law, said the Egyptian authorities were issuing laws "that repeat the same restrictive and oppressive articles that the Egyptians were fighting before the January 25th revolution and which led to the January 25th revolution."
"The situation is moving backwards, not just because of the law, but because the pillars of the police state and the grip of the security organisations are returning in a fiercer way than they were during the (Hosni) Mubarak era," he added.
The military-backed government first floated the law in October.
Interim President Adly Mansour approved a slightly amended version on Sunday, which removed a proposed ban on sit-ins and a draft portion criminalising "insulting the state."
The law requires three-day prior notice for protests.
It grants security agencies the right to bar any protests or public gatherings, including election-related meetings of political parties, if they deem it a threat to public safety or order.
Protesters can appeal the decision, but the law doesn't force judges to rule ahead of scheduled protests.
Political analyst and Watani newspaper editor in chief, Youssef Sidhom, said the law was in effect targeting the Muslim Brotherhood.
Cairo residents, meanwhile, appeared divided on the subject, with some agreeing the law would bring back much needed stability but others saying it would strip Egyptians of the rights they had been fighting for since Mubarak was ousted.
The new law also bars gatherings in places of worship, a regular meeting place for all protests in Egypt and one heavily used by Islamist groups.
The law also says the police have the right - following warnings - to use force gradually, including the use of water cannons, tear gas and clubs.
Penalties in the law range from seven years in prison for using violence in a protest and sets fines of 44-thousand US dollars for being violent at a demonstration or 1,500 US dollars for protesting without a permit.
These are hefty sums in Egypt, where the minimum monthly salary for public employees has finally been raised to 1,200 Egyptian pounds (175 US dollars).

Comic-turned-politician criticises bipartisan draft of electoral law
The Italian comic-turned-politician Beppe Grillo has criticised a draft of a new electoral reform law drawn up Italy's two main political parties.

The Italian comic-turned-politician Beppe Grillo has criticised a draft of a new electoral reform law drawn up Italy's two main political parties.
Speaking to media at the Foreign Press Association in Rome on Thursday, Grillo said the law would exclude his Five Star Movement from parliament.
Matteo Renzi, the newly-elected leader of Prime Minister Enrico Letta's Democratic Party made a deal with Italy's former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on Saturday to back the new law.
Berlusconi was kicked out of Parliament last year after his conviction for tax fraud, but he still leads leads the centre-right opposition Forza Italia party, which he created.
Grillo accused the two men of "making a law overnight" without going through the proper parliamentary channels.
He said the law was designed to stop smaller parties like his own from gaining parliamentary seats.
"They will surely find a way to kick us out, because we are the unexpected problem, we are the ones who came from nothing and collected 25 percent of the votes," he said.
The legislation would change the current electoral system, which has left Italy with a legacy of largely unstable governments.
The reform has been bogged down for years by squabbling across the political spectrum.
Berlusconi has insisted he can make a political comeback despite his judicial woes, which include a separate conviction and seven-year jail sentence for paying a female teenage minor for sex and then using his office as premier to cover it up.
Berlusconi's defence team hopes an appeals court will back his claim of innocence in the sex case.

wn.com/Comic Turned Politician Criticises Bipartisan Draft Of Electoral Law

STORY LINE:
Businesses shut down and buses stayed off the streets in many parts of Pakistan on Friday as thousands rallied against changing the country's controversial laws against blasphemy.
Siddique Rathor, a leader of the Islamist alliance behind the rallies, warned the government against changing the law.
"No pressure from the US and Britain, nor that of any individual to dare to amend the blasphemy law will be tolerated," he said.
Pakistan's long-standing law against blasphemy gained new attention this year when a Christian woman, Asia Bibi, was sentenced to death in November for allegedly insulting Islam's Prophet Muhammad.
She's believed to be the first woman condemned to die under the statute, and her plight has caused outrage among human rights activists and Christian organisations who say the blasphemy laws are too often abused.
Pakistani Islamist groups called for the strikes and rallies Friday despite assurances by the embattled ruling Pakistan People's Party that it would not pursue any changes to the law.
Except for the big cities, Pakistanis often observe Friday, an important day of worship, as a day off instead of the official Sunday weekly holiday. Religious groups often take advantage of that by calling for strikes on Friday.
But even in the major cities, many stores were closed and public transportation was visibly less available than usual. And after Friday prayers, groups gathered and marched from many mosques, chanting and carrying signs.
"Blasphemy deserves death, just death," read a banner in one of the rallies.
The rallies were largely peaceful except for one in Karachi, where police were pelted with stones and fired tear gas shells. No one was wounded, police officer Naseer Tanoli said.
President Asif Ali Zardari's ruling party is struggling to keep its governing coalition intact, meaning it is unlikely to want to stoke furore from Islamist allies by delving into the blasphemy issue.
Even as some Pakistanis rallied in support of changing the law, government ministers disavowed efforts by a party lawmaker, Sherry Rehman, to introduce a bill to amend it.
Dozens of Pakistanis are sentenced to death each year under the blasphemy law, but most cases are thrown out by higher courts and no executions have been carried out. Still, some who are accused end up being killed by extremists.
A Pakistani court sentenced the 45-year-old Bibi to death on November 8, triggering protests from rights groups and Christians here and overseas, including an appeal from Pope Benedict XVI.

Protests against the French government''s new jobs law continued into the night on Tuesday, following a day of mass demonstrations and strikes.
Police said at least 1 million (m) people - organisers said 3 million (m) - poured into the streets across France on Tuesday and youths clashed with riot officers in the latest protests against the government''s new jobs law.
In Paris - which saw the largest protests - riot police fired tear gas and rubber pellets and made repeated charges into the crowds of several hundred youths at Place d''Italie on the Left Bank, carrying away those they arrested.
Protestors attempting a sit-in later on in the evening were also moved on by riot police.
In all over 200 people were in custody and 18 people suffered slight injuries, Paris police said.
The violence marred another day of huge protests against the job law, which makes it easier to fire young workers.
It was the second Tuesday running that unions and student groups had mobilised such numbers, maintaining intense pressure on President Jacques Chirac''s government to withdraw the measure, even though renewed nationwide strikes lost a little steam.

STORYLINE:
French students gathered in the streets of Paris on Thursday in a nationwide protest against a new labour law, as the government sought to keep its ranks from fracturing and university presidents urged negotiations.
Tens of thousands of students, supported by France's powerful unions, turned out for the protests.
Earlier, students from the suburbs and the regions streamed into Paris for the afternoon marches.
French President Jacques Chirac on Wednesday urged talks between ministers and labour leaders.
French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, taking the brunt of the fallout, rallied ministers around the contested law at a government meeting on Wednesday night - and also opened a line of communication with protesters.
Classes have been disrupted or halted in universities around the country since last week.
Students occupied the Sorbonne in Paris over the weekend, and in Rennes, the main university has been shuttered for weeks.
The most contested piece of the legislation, passed by parliament last week, is a job contract that allows employers to fire young employees within their first two years on a job without giving a reason.
It is feared the First Employment Contract (CPE) will erode job stability, in a country where more than 20 per cent of 18 to 25-year-olds are unemployed - more than twice the national rate.
It was instituted to help less privileged youths find jobs, but students fear it will erode coveted labour protections and leave the young by the wayside.

STORYLINE
Colombia's president on Saturday lead a rally by peasant farmers to promote a law for the restitution of land to victims of the country's armed conflict.
Thousands of people gathered in Necocli, 515 kilometres north-west of Bogota, to support the president and his land policy, which compensates peasants that have been displaced by the violent conflict between guerrilla groups, paramilitary forces and drug traffickers.
After the rally, Santos helped to plant a symbolic tree, paying tribute to 12 farmers who were killed trying to reclaim their land.
The president said he chose the picturesque village of Necocli as a location for the rally because it is located in the troubled region of Urab, hit badly by the armed conflict.
He told the crowd that the law would become a reality "against wind and tide, against any enemy" with the support of local people affected by the violence.
The Agriculture Ministry calculates that rebels were responsible for 20 percent of land seizures against 80 percent by far-right militias or paramilitaries.
Under the restitution law, enacted last year, the state is seeking to return to peasants more than 77-hundred square miles (two (M) million hectares) of land stolen by illegal armed groups and twice that amount abandoned by peasants fearful of them.
Colombia is second only to Sudan in its internally displaced population.

STORYLINE
Palestinians lined up outside the house of the slain Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin in Gaza City on Tuesday morning to offer condolences to his family.
Family members and high-ranking Hamas leaders were among those arriving at a mourning tent erected in honour of Yassin, who was killed by Israeli forces on Monday.
Yassins daughter-in-law said that Mondays assassination would only serve to strengthen the jihad, or holy war.
The sheiks wife, Halima, spoke of her grief and called for God to punish her husbands killers.
Among those killed in the missile strike were several of Yassins bodyguards and his son-in-law.
Seventeen people were wounded, including two of Yassins sons.
It was unclear whether one of those injured was the husband of Umm Ahmed, Yassins daughter-in-law.
Also in attendance at the mourning tent was Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar, who has been targetted by Israel in the past.

We welcome your comments on the open blog thread for this show.

YouTube comments are at present disabled in our channel, to the displeasure of some. However, each video has a prominent link to the associated open thread that appears on our blog. In the past we've tried opening up the channel to comments, but we found that a very high number of episodes wound up being flooded with a combination of spam, long winded apologists, and various obscene or misogynistic comments directed at various hosts by people with an axe to grind. This seems to be the nature of YouTube comment sections, in our experience.
We do moderate the blog, the same way that we moderate chat during the show, as well as comments on our Facebook group. For comment sections that are "officially" associated with our show (and, to a much lesser extent, channels that may give the unintended appearance of being official), we prefer not to play host to straight up ad hominem attacks and bigotry. As a general policy we do not block commenters simply on the basis of disagreement with our point of view. However, we do prefer discussion environments that don't actively chase off more reasonable contributors.

WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.
