Atomic Message: 70 years after Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombing (RT Documentary)
70 years after the US dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the real reasons behind the decision still divide historians. Recently declassified documents from the time suggest the nuclear strikes may have been performed not out of military necessity but to intimidate the USSR. RTD’s Peter Scott travels to the two Japanese cities that were devastated by the attacks, where he visits a victims' memorial and meets nuclear blast survivors still haunted by their memories. He also interviews President Truman’s grandson, Clifton Truman Daniel, on the subject of his grandfather’s controversial legacy.

In 1968, American filmmaker Eric Barnouw learned that a Japanese filmmaker, Akira Iwasaki, visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki to film the immediate aftermath of the bombings. The U.S military at first forced Iwasaki to halt filming but then ordered him to continue.
The footage was suppressed for decades before Erik Barnouw received a letter from an environmentalist named Lucy Lemann alerting him to the existence of the material. Barnouw obtained the footage from the National Archives and then the footage down to this short film. It remains one of the most chilling documents from the atomic bombings.

“Vimos o grande avião prateado no céu.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bomb documentary[REAL TRUTH]
In August 1945, during the final stage of the Second World War, the United States dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The two bombings, which killed at least 129,000 people, remain the only use of nuclear weapons for warfare in human history.
As the Second World War entered its sixth and final year, the Allies had begun to prepare for, what was anticipated to be, a very costly invasion of the Japanese mainland. This was preceded by an immensely destructive firebombing campaign that obliterated many Japanese cities. The war in Europe had concluded when Nazi Germany signed its instrument of surrender on May 8, 1945, but with the Japanese refusal to accept the Allies' demands for unconditional surrender, the Pacific War dragged on. Together with the United Kingdom and China, the United States' calls for the unconditional surrender of the Japanese armed forces in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945 was buttressed with the threat of "prompt and utter destruction".
By August 1945, the Allied Manhattan Project had successfully detonated an atomic device in the New Mexico desert and subsequently produced atomic weapons based on two alternate designs. The 509th Composite Group of the U.S. Army Air Forces was equipped with a Silverplate Boeing B-29 Superfortress that could deliver them from Tinian in the Mariana Islands. A uranium gun-type atomic bomb (Little Boy) was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, followed by a plutonium implosion-type bomb (Fat Man) on the city of Nagasaki on August 9. Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects of the atomic bombings killed 90,000–166,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000–80,000 in Nagasaki; roughly half of the deaths in each city occurred on the first day. During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness and malnutrition. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizable military garrison.
On August 15, just days after the bombing of Nagasaki and the Soviet Union's declaration of war, Japan announced its surrender to the Allies. On September 2, it signed the instrument of surrender, effectively ending World War II. The bombings' role in Japan's surrender and their ethical justification are still debated.

What The Americans Did To These Innocent People, Men Women & So Many Children's Lives Taken And Wasted For What?
The atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were conducted by the United States during the final stages of World War II in 1945. To date the two bombings are the only instance of the use of nuclear weapons in wartime.
Following a firebombing campaign that destroyed many Japanese cities, the Allies prepared for a costly invasion of Japan. The war in Europe ended when Nazi Germany signed its instrument of surrender on May 8, 1945, but the Pacific War continued. Together with the United Kingdom and the Republic of China, the United States called on Japan to surrender in the Potsdam Declaration on July 26, 1945, threatening "prompt and utter destruction". The Japanese government ignored this ultimatum.
By August 1945, the Allied Manhattan Project had developed and tested atomic bombs, and the United States Army Air Forces 509th Composite Group was equipped with Silver plate Boeing B-29 Super fortress that could deliver them from Tinian in the Mariana Islands. With no response from the Japanese, the bombs were dropped with the approval of President Harry S. Truman. A Little Boy atomic bomb was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, followed by a Fat Man bomb on the city of Nagasaki on August 9. Within the first two to four months of the bombings, the acute effects killed 90,000--166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000--80,000 in Nagasaki, with roughly half of the deaths in each city occurring on the first day. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians, although Hiroshima had a sizable garrison.
On August 15, six days after the bombing of Nagasaki, and seven days after the Soviet Union's declaration of war, Japan announced its surrender to the Allies, signing the Instrument of Surrender on September 2, officially ending World War II. The bombings' role in Japan's surrender and their ethical justification are still debated.

The bombings' role in Japan's surrender and their ethical justification are still debated.
Also in 1946, the Hiroshima police estimated the dead at 78,150 and the missing at 13,983, for a total of about 92,000 if all the missing are presumed dead.
90,000-140,000 1945 deaths at Hiroshima out of a population of 310,000. The Hiroshima Peace Site website gives a figure of 140,000 deaths by December 1945, out of a population of 350,000. And the Guinness Book of Records gives a suspiciously precise figure of 155,200 killed by Little Boy, including deaths from radiation within one year.

During the following months, large numbers died from the effect of burns, radiation sickness, and other injuries, compounded by illness.

FULL VERSION OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI FILM THEY DIDN'T WANT US TO SEE 34962
In 1968, American filmmaker Eric Barnouw learned that a Japanese filmmaker, Akira Iwasaki, visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki to film the immediate aftermath of the bombings.
This film is part of the Periscope Film LLC archive, one of the largest historic military, transportation, and aviation stock footage collections in the USA. Entirely film backed, this material is available for licensing in 24p HD. For more information visit http://www.

“Vimos o grande avião prateado no céu.

Russia puts replica of its biggest nuclear bomb on display in central Moscow.
A replica of the most powerful nuclear bomb ever to be blasted has gone on display in the heart of the Russia capital.
The Soviet named 'Tsar Bomb' is the main attraction at an exhibition celebrating 70 years of Russia's atomic achievements at an exhibition centre near the Kremlin.
The AN-602 hydrogen bomb casing was placed proudly at the centre of Manezh exhibition hall as visitors milled about and guides outlined its history on Tuesday (September 1).

The world's first atomic bombing took place at 8:15am on August 6, 1945. The power of the bomb was far greater than that of any previous bomb, and the massive amount of radiation released had devastating effects on human bodies. This was the beginning of the "nuclear age" in the world.

Atomic bomb 'Tsar Bomb' | Russia exhibits mega H-bomb replica in Moscow
Russia puts replica of its biggest nuclear bomb on display in central Moscow.
A replica of the most powerful nuclear bomb ever to be blasted has gone on display in the heart of the Russia capital.
The Soviet named 'Tsar Bomb' is the main attraction at an exhibition celebrating 70 years of Russia's atomic achievements at an exhibition centre near the Kremlin.
The AN-602 hydrogen bomb casing was placed proudly at the centre of Manezh exhibition hall as visitors milled about and guides outlined its history on Tuesday (September 1).
The 'Tsar Bomb' had the equivalent of ten times the explosives used in the World War Two bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Pavel Struchalin a postgraduate student at Russia's National Research Nuclear University said the replica was exact and not a simple model.
"It is a real engineering structure, so it is not a dummy, it even has an inventory number on it, but naturally the charge, all the electronics and break parachutes have been removed. So this is just a visual demonstration," said Struchalin.
The bomb is often referred to as 'Kuzma's Mother' in Russia, an idiomatic expression that translates as 'we will teach you a lesson'. Struchalin says the nickname became a reference to the bomb after Soviet Union leader Nikita Khrushchev's outburst at the 1960 United Nations General Assembly, promising to show 'Kuzma's Mother' to the United States.

Atomic Watch - Hiroshima Japan
The famous watch that stopped at the exact moment that the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan at the end of WWII. The watch is stopped at 8:15am the moment the atomic (nuclear) bomb blast struck Hiroshima at the end of WWII.
The world's first atomic bombing took place at 8:15am on August 6, 1945. The power of the bomb was far greater than that of any previous bomb, and the massive amount of radiation released had devastating effects on human bodies. This was the beginning of the "nuclear age" in the world.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum serves as a solemn memorial global peace and to the people who were tragically killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Over 70,000 people were killed instantly due to the bombing, and another 70,000 suffered fatal injuries from the radiation. US president Harry Truman, made the difficult decision to authorise the atomic bombing of Japan during World War II. The Allied forces agreed to put an end to the Pacific War which was not ending - but rather costing many lives - civilian and military. At 8:15 am on 6 August 1945, "Little Boy" (the first atomic bomb to be used in any war) detonated almost directly above the dome (approximately 600 m above the dome). The Japanese city of Nagasaki was bombed three days later.
This watch is located in the "Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum" in Hiroshima, Japan and serves as a reminder of the terror of war and atomic weapons.

Hiroshima y Nagasaki: La sangre facturada
Hiroshima y Nagasaki: La sangre facturada.
