Love it--except for one thing
The app is great. It is easy to look at articles with just the press of a button so to speak. HuffPost also is open minded and interesting with its part-blog, part-newspaper style. The only thing I dislike is with recent updates, the search bar disappeared. The search bar made it nice to go back and look at things that you feel you may have missed information on. But still, love the app, and love the Post!
Limited content/ Facebook required to post
This app is a mere fraction of the website. I continue to highly disagree that Facebook is required to comment, by no means does this verify your identity. Only a computer noob wouldn't be able to make a half dozen Facebook profiles. The featured content in this app is the most divisive which is great because that draws a lot of use and a lot of comments so they can make a lot of money. However, it is a very poor source for actual news, but a great place to watch the uneducated left and the uneducated right fight.
Dictated but not read.
A mere shadow of its old self
Finally uninstalled. Ive loved huffpost for years but I cant tolerate the increasingly limited accessibility anymore. The search function is gone. The comments section requiring a facebook account is just a silly deterrent. The pop up video ads are frustrating and annoying. And most of all the practice of changing an articles headline to trick readers into additional clicks for the exact same article the next day is manipulative and just plain sad. Bring back the old version and a little smidgen of ethical journalism please.
