HEADLINE: G20 leaders agree to disagree
CAPTION: Leaders at the G20 Summit met Friday in Seoul, South Korea. The leaders agreed a trade war would be disastrous, but disagree on how to prevent one. (Nov. 12)
((Family foto))
It's called the family photo. But this is NOT a happy family.
President Barack Obama and the others at the G20 Summit agree a trade war would be disastrous for a recovering global economy, but disagree on ow to prevent one.
((Meeting spray))
The others spurned the president's call for targets to reduce damaging trade gaps, like the surpluses China runs with America.
((Obama meets with Hu Jintao yesterday))
And they wouldn't call out China directly as a currency manipulator.
((News conference))
Still, at a post-summit news conference, Obama was PLEASED the G20 called for balanced trade.
OBAMA SOT: (Approx 4:30 from start) Going forward, no nation should assume that their path to prosperity is paved simply with exports to the nited States.
((Anti-G20 demos pushing and shoving with police))
While market analysts likened the summit squabbles inside to the scuffling with protesters outside...
((B-roll banking and financial markets))
... the leaders DID agree to tighten banking rules, and seek a mechanism for MONITORING trade flows...
((Back to news conference))
... maybe not headline stuff, but things Obama found worthy.
OBAMA SOT: (Approx 39:00 from start) Instead of hitting home runs, sometimes we're going to hit singles. But they're really important singles.
((Republicans celebrate midterm file footage))
The big question here was whether last week's drubbing from Republicans at the polls sent Obama here weakened.
((Back to news conference))
HE said not at all - he's getting pushback because the others are just tough bargainers.
OBAMA SOT: (Approx 28:00 from start) It wasn't any easier to talk about currency when I had just been elected and my poll numbers were at 65 percent than it is now.
((News conference walkout))
He said if the others EVER just did his bidding, HE never saw it.
((Standup close))
And if you thought the haggling over trade is finished, think again. The president's spending
the weekend in Japan at the annual Asia-Pacific summit. Meaning he gets to make some of the same
arguments to many of these same leaders one more time -- probably with the same result.

Seoul, South Korea, is truly an amazing city to visit! It's modern, easy to navigate and there's little something everyone will enjoy. The Seoul subway system makes it easy to get around town and discover exactly what the giant city has to offer.
Surrounded by Japan and China, Seoul and South Korea sometimes doesn't get all the attention is deserves . Korea is home to a unique culture, cuisine and a fascinating history. If you ever have the chance to visit Seoul, you'll have a great time!
I traveled to Seoul Korea and was able to do all kinds of things, but I've narrowed this list down to twenty five of the best things to do in Seoul - of course there are other things as well but this list is just the beginning and intended to get your ideas and travel imagination flowing!
Anyway, on to the top Seoul attractions, here's the list in case you can't see the video:
1. Gyeongbukgung Palace
2. Bukchon Hanok Village
3. Jogyesa Buddhist Temple
4. Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress
5. War Memorial and Museum
6. N Seoul Tower
7. Myeongdong Shopping
8. Insadong
9. Namdaemun Market
10. Dongdaemun
11. International Itaewon
12. Hongdae (Hongik University)
13. Lotte Mart
14. Lotte World
15. Seoul Children's Park
16. Han River Walking / Riding
17. Walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream
18. Hike in Seoul
19. Gwangjang Market
20. Noryangjin Fish Market
21. Garak Wholesale Food Market
22. Korean Street Food
23. Ice Cream Selections
24. Coffee at a Coffee Shop
25. Korean Barbecue
I stayed in South Korea for just over 2 weeks and was able to complete this entire list of things to do in Seoul.
However, even though there are so many places to see and go, probably my favorite of all is eating and sampling delicious Korean food! Korean food is so good and there are so many restaurants everywhere you look in Seoul that it can truly be considered a foodie's paradise.
If you get a chance to visit Seoul I hope your'e able to do all these wonderful things while you're there!
Anything else you love about Seoul that's not on this list? Please feel free to leave a comment below and let me know!

Watch our video highlighting some of the best things to do in Seoul, but beware—it just might cause you to start planning your next Korean vacation!
Join us in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. This intriguing destination boasts an innovative, forward-thinking culture, but it’s also steeped in history. While traveling around this northwestern city, you’ll come across massive shopping complexes just on the outskirts of ancient temples and palaces.
Take a trip back in time at the Changdeokgung Palace, which was built in 1405 as one of the Five Grand Palaces established by the Joseon Dynasty. Though all the city’s palaces were burned down during the 1592 Japanese invasion, Changdeokgung was the first to be reconstructed. Venture around Injeongjeon, the throne hall, and step across the Geumcheongyo Bridge, which is considered one of the city’s oldest bridges. Deoksugung is another one of the Five Grand Palaces, and it’s unique in that it incorporates a Western-style garden. Don’t miss the other royal grounds, including Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Unhyeongung Palace.
If you’re really looking to get a sense of the more modern, Seoul tourism scene, prepare to shop ’til you drop! This city takes shopping seriously, as you can find stores and markets scattered all around town. COEX Mall is Korea’s largest underground shopping mall, while Namdaemun Market features hundreds of vendors selling almost anything you can imagine, from kimchi to kitchenware. In the mood for some late-night shopping? Discover some of the best finds in fashion at Dongdaemun Market, which is open all through the night, closing around 7 a.m.
Continue your Seoul city tour by making your way to the theaters to witness some marvelous performances. These theaters know how to put on a show–Korean martial artists, dazzling dancers, and talented musicians take the stage at the Korea House, Jeongdong Theater, and Seoul Arts Center. Next, visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace to catch the opening and closing of the royal palace gates and the royal guard changing, or check out the Bosingak daily bell-ringing ceremony.
Whether you decide to join guided Seoul tours or prefer to venture around the Korean destination on your own terms, you won’t be disappointed. From royal grounds to theater productions, the entertainment is endless. Press play on our travel guide video to get inspiration for your next trip to South Korea.

Seoul is one of the most dynamic cities in the world. I've been privileged enough to have lived in and around the Seoul metropolitan area for several years as an English teacher. It's a city that is near and dear to my heart and one which I strongly encourage you to visit. Below is my things to do in Seoul travel guide featuring all of the top attractions worth visiting:
1) Insadong is the cultural HUB of Seoul. It's an area that is equally as popular with locals as it is with tourists. Whether you're shopping for Korean souvenirs, people watching or wanting to grab some Korean street food, you'll find it all here.
2) Do fancy cats? For cat lovers (and the cats living there) a cat cafe is paradise. With an opportunity to interact with cats and feed them treats, you'll be sure to make a few feline friends in just one sitting. The deal with these cat cafes is that you have to purchase a prepaid drink and/or snack (at a price higher than a normal cafe) for the opportunity to pet and play with kitties. Our favorite cat cafe was located in Hongdae.
3) In the winter Korea is frigid in a way few from abroad might expect. To warm up head to a proper Korean Tea House where you'll be served a wonderful aromatic fruity Korean tea accompanied by rice cake snacks. To enjoy like a local find a spot with Ondol - heated floors. If you're looking for a recommendation, try the ginger tea!
4) For the best view in Seoul consider hiking up Mount Namsan to visit Seoul Tower. Best done in the spring or fall - given the moderate temperatures - this moderately challenging walk will take less than an hour to complete. We picked late fall to go when it was cooler outside and leaves were changing colors.
5) No trip to Seoul would be complete without visiting the oldest market in the city - Namdaemun market. Many come here to shop but I'm all about coming for Korean street food. With a plethora of stalls and no shortage of options it's best to arrive with an empty stomach. If you're having a hard time choosing I recommend Hotteok and Tteokbokki.
6) As if visiting a cat cafe wasn't enough there are also dog cafes in Seoul! Unlike the cat cafes, which are a bit more mellow, prepare for a high energy kind of environment in the dog cafe where the dogs are more active than the docile cats.
7) For the best walk in Seoul head down to the Cheonggyecheon stream in the heart of the city. Equally as fascinating during the summer as it is by winter, it takes on a totally different personality as the seasons change. If you're lucky you'll spot a traditional Korean performance or hear Korean music playing.
8) There are numerous palaces to consider visiting in Seoul but none is more impressive than Gyeongbokgung. With admission being only 3000 KRW it's a cheap and fun landmark to visit. Be sure to stick around for the changing of guard ceremony.

Travel video about destination Seoul in South Korea.
Founded in 1394, Seoul is both the cultural and economic centre of South Korea and with 12 million inhabitants, it is also the 5th largest city in the world.
A huge monument commemorates the Korean War during which, between 1950 and 1953, around 400,000 people were killed. At that time, the United States of America and 20 other countries took part in a United Nations military operation to support South Korea against the forces of North Korea and China.
In 1988, the 24th Olympic Games took place in Seoul and for this, the Olympic Park was created, a huge area with a monument at its entrance and 200 sculptures that adorn various paths, designed to highlight Korea's global connection with the rest of the world.
At the end of the 18th century, the Hwaseong Fortress was built, now a World Heritage Sight. The fortress extends for 130 hectares and the distance from one main gate to the other is such that a dragon train is available for those who prefer not to walk.
In 1969, the N Seoul Tower was built to provide South Korea with TV and radio signals. Seoul's main landmark is 236 metres high and is equipped with several high speed elevators, as well as an observation platform and observatory.
Historic buildings, palaces, shrines and bridges all serve to underline the ultra modern appearance of Seoul, a mega city in the Land of the Silent Morning.

Eating raw crab in Seoul!!
Shopping with suitcases!!
Lisa's snoring woke me up!!
Boiling a whole chicken??
Visited Myeongdong and Ehwa Women University for shopping. Why so little footage of Day 2? It's because our hands were holding too many stuff and dragging the heavily packed suitcase.
When I was filming what we purchased at the end of the day, my camera battery was running low, so I rushed it. Planning to do a haul video so stay tune for it!
Here's the first video of our vacation:

When coming up with a top attractions travel guide for South Korea it became a daunting task to go through my travel video library collection of Korean videos and decide which ones to use. There is just so much to see and do in Korea from food to culture and from attractions and cities worth visiting. From Seoul to Busan and from countryside to urban city centers there is something for everyone. The following recommendation for the top things to do in South Korea:
1) Visiting Insadong
Considered by many to the cultural hub of Seoul, Insadong is the perfect place to indulge in Korean street, go shopping and take in Korean traditional musical performances. It is also one of the best places for people watching as you'll notice a mix of both Koreans and foreigners.
2) Korean Folk Village
The Korean Folk Village, nestled in between the cities of Suwon and Yongin, is a place you'll definitely want to check out. While wandering around he scenic premises you can snack on Korean street food delights such as sugary taffy where you'll notice traditional Korean wedding ceremonies, tightrope walking and equestrian students and performances. The best time of year to come is in the fall or spring.
3) Cat Cafes
Although we've been to several cat cafes in Thailand, Malaysia and Germany we still haven't found one that tops the cat cafe we visited in Hongdae, Seoul, South Korea. Purchase an entrance ticket, which entitles you to a drink, allows you to come in and interact with the cats playing, feeding and petting them to your hearts content.
4) One of the most historic markets in all of Seoul - and Korea for that matter - is Namdaemun Market. As the largest and oldest open air market in all of Korea you'll have a chance to shop and eat Korean street food all day long. My favorite snack here is hotteok.
5) A scenic and peaceful way to experience the heart of downtown Seoul is to wander along the Cheonggyecheon. There are few places that are more attractive to go walking. When we visited in winter we noticed many ice sculptures.
6) To beat the heat in the winter, visit a traditional Korean tea house for a fragrant cup of hot fruity tea and a delicious plate of Korean rice cake snacks.
7) Not a fan of cats? Try visiting a dog cafe as an alternative. It's the same deal as the cat cafe in terms of purchasing overpriced drinks for the chance to play and interact with cute dogs and puppies.
8) Kimbap Restaurant
For excellent Korean rice rolls, known as kimbap, head to one of the ubiquitous locations for some excellent kimchi fried rice, mandu and Korean soups.
9) Bamboo Park
If you visit the city of Damyang, in the southern region of Korea, you'll be treated to the Damyang Bamboo Forest Park. A nice scenic escape from urban Korean life, these parks do sometimes get crowded.
10) Boseong Tea Fields and Plantation
Not far from the Bamboo Forest Park is the Boseong Tea Fields. Come climb up to the very top - it's quite the workout and enjoy a cup of green tea or green tea flavored ice cream upon returning to the bottom.
11) There are a plethora of fascinating palaces and temples to explore in Seoul. Our favorite, is Gyeongbokgung Palace where admission is only 3000 Won. Pose with Korean guards and stick around for the changing of the guard.
12) If you're ready to shop until you drop be sure to visit Myeongdong, one of the most popular shopping districts in all of Seoul. Here you'll find swanky boutique shops and plenty of restaurants.
13) For the art and hipster scene be sure to visit Hongdae, the most popular student hangout area for Koreans. From food to nightlife to shopping this place has it all for young 20 somethings.
14) An alternative to Itaewon is Songtan - located nearby an American Military base in the Pyeongtaek region. This is where you'll come to buy American goods and to eat International cuisine.
15) Seoul Tower offers amazing views of the city but I enjoyed climbing Namsan even more. The climb is free and it best enjoyed on a fall or spring afternoon when the weather is cool.

President Park arrived in Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday, local time, as the first leg of her three-nation tour.
She is set to attend the Group of 20 summit from Sunday.
In the face of a sluggish and uneven recovery in the global economy and a slowdown in both growth and trade,... the three pillars of the 2015 agenda will be... strengthening the global recovery and lifting the potential, enhancing resilience and buttressing sustainability.
Particular focus will be on youth employment, small and medium enterprises and women′s empowerment, as well as issues related to developing countries.
″As the most renowned international economic body, the summit will be a venue for in-depth discussions on major issues facing the global economy.″
The leaders will also review the progress of their growth strategies laid out at last year′s meeting in Australia,... where they set a goal of two-percent increase in combined GDP by 2018.
President Park is expected to lay out her vision for sustainable growth based on Seoul′s development experience.
″But as this year′s G20 gathering is taking place against the backdrop of the bloodiest attack on France since World War Two,... world leaders are likely to prioritize issues on security and the battle against terrorism.

Security was tight outside the Coex building in Seoul on Friday morning in preparation for the second day of the Group of 20 summit meeting.
Officials were checking all vehicles using sniffer dogs, and there was a presence of armed guards outside the meeting venue.
A strong sense of pessimism shrouded the first day of the economic summit of rich and emerging economies on Thursday, with US President Barack Obama and fellow world leaders arriving in Seoul sharply divided over currency and trade policies.
The Group of 20 summit, held for the first time in Asia, has become the centrepiece of international efforts to revive the global economy and prevent future financial meltdowns.
Hopes had been high that the G-20 - encompassing rich nations such as Germany and the US as well as growing giants such as China and Brazil - could be the world forum for hashing out an economic way forward from the financial crisis.
But agreement appeared elusive as the summit began, divided between those such as the United States that want to get China to allow its currency rise and those irate over US Federal Reserve plans to pump 600 (b) billion dollars of new money into the sluggish American economy, effectively devaluing the dollar.

As leaders began arriving for the Group of 20 Summit, the Secretary General of the United Nations, said on Wednesday in Seoul that he expects North Korea to return to the nuclear talks and fully cooperate to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula.
Ban Ki-moon arrived in Seoul to attend the G20 Summit, which is being held in Asia for the first time.
After his arrival, Ban held talks with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak at the presidential office, before addressing the media at the Seoul Foreign Correspondents Club.
Ban said, even though North Korea had conducted several nuclear tests in the past and composed threatening actions like firing missiles, he expects North Korea to return to the six-party-talks to realise the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.
North Korea carried out two nuclear tests in 2006 and in 2009 in the country's northeastern area, drawing international sanctions each time.
Just before the second test, North Korea walked out of six-nation talks aimed at ending its nuclear programmes.
North Korea has recently expressed its willingness to rejoin the negotiations, which involve the two Koreas, the United States, China, Russia and Japan.
Seoul and Washington have said North Korea must first take specific moves to demonstrate its sincerity.
The Russian president has recently reaffirmed his country's commitment to a diplomatic solution to end North Korea's nuclear programmes.
Regarding the summit, Ban added that he would do his best as the Secretary-General of the UN to ensure the world leaders find solutions for the poorest and the most vulnerable people around the world.

Thousands of people chanted anti-globalisation slogans in South Korea's capital on Sunday to protest this week's Group of 20 summit.
Part of the crowd attempted to march down nearby streets but were stopped by riot police, who fired pepper spray.
The protesters sang, danced and waved signs reading "We oppose the G-20" at a large plaza near Seoul City Hall.
South Korea is hosting a gathering of leaders from the G-20 advanced and developing economies on Thursday and Friday.
Some protesters danced and played traditional Korean drums, while about nine-thousand riot police and many police buses encircled the rally site to keep order.
Police said about 20-thousand people took part in the rally.
The rally was initially peaceful, but some protesters engaged in minor scuffles with riot police who tried to prevent them from marching through downtown streets.
Riot police fired pepper spray at some protesters at the front of the crowd, forcing them back.
The protesters oppose globalisation and say the G-20 is not focusing on creating jobs or protecting social programs.
One of the labour activists accused the G-20 of failing to formulate meaningful measures to curb speculative financial capital and of pushing cuts in public spending on social welfare.
Activists plan to stage smaller rallies every day until the summit begins on Thursday, he said.
The G-20 forum, founded in 1999, has taken on greater significance since the global financial meltdown and is seeking to reform the world economy to ensure stable growth and strengthen the financial system to prevent a recurrence of the 2008 crisis.
It held its first summit in Washington two years ago.
South Korean police and military are on heightened alert to prevent any attempt by protesters, armed groups and North Korea to sabotage the summit, which will include US President Barack Obama and other leaders.
The Korean peninsula remains officially at war because the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

About 20-thousand protesters chanted anti-globalisation slogans and marched through downtown Seoul streets in a rally against this week's Group of 20 summit to be held in the Korean capital.
No violence was initially reported at the protest, organised by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, but some protesters engaged in minor scuffles with riot police trying to prevent them from marching through nearby Seoul streets later on Sunday.
According to reports, police fired pepper spray at part of the crowd.
It was the first major anti-globalisation demonstration before South Korea hosts a gathering of leaders from the G-20 advanced and emerging economies on Thursday and Friday.
The protesters on Sunday sang, danced and waved signboards with signs reading "We oppose the G-20" during the rally at a large square near Seoul City Hall.
Around nine-thousand riot police and numerous police buses encircled the rally site to keep order.
Activists plan to stage more, though smaller, rallies every day until the summit begins on Thursday, according to a labour activist.
South Korean police and troops are on heightened alert to prevent any attempt to sabotage the summit.
Rival North Korea has a history of staging provocations when world attention is focused on South Korea.
The Korean peninsula is technically at war because the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.

South Korean labour and civic groups joined with international activists on Thursday to stage protests against the ongoing G-20 summit in Seoul.
Organised by a confederation of 83 civic groups calling itself "Put People First. Korean People's G-20 Response Action," the rally began in front of the Seoul Station.
Organisers claimed some 10,000 people showed up, but the police said they counted about 3,500, according to South Korea's Yonhap news agency.
The protest, also backed by political campaigners, college students, human rights activists and interest groups, was one of several planned in the city to coincide with the gathering of world leaders for the G-20 summit on Thursday and Friday.
Heads of governments and financial chiefs along with leaders from non-G-20 nations have come to Seoul to attend the global economic forum.
Over 3,000 riot police stood guard with water cannon and other equipment, Yonhap said.
Protesters' demands varied from job stability, fair distribution of wealth and scrapping of free trade agreements to the withdrawal of South Korean troops from Afghanistan.
Placards read, "G20, Stop making people pay for the crisis," "STOP G20," "Withdraw troops from Afghanistan" and "No FTA."
Organisers said some 100 international activists also joined Thursday's rally, Yonhap reported.
"People across the world are unhappy right now. There is a global poverty crisis and world leaders have got to get this through their heads and action needs to be taken now," Michael Switow from the Global Call to Action Against Poverty Organisation told AP Television.
The rally ended without anyone being arrested or taken into custody, despite scuffles with the police as the protesters marched through downtown.

US President Barack Obama has arrived in South Korea to attend meetings of the world's top 20 economic powers.
Tensions over currencies and trade gaps have simmered ahead of the summit following a decision by the US to flood its sluggish economy with 600 (b) billion dollars in cash that has alarmed leaders around the globe.
Obama has defended the move by the US Federal Reserve.
He arrived on Wednesday in the capital of Seoul after spending less than a day in Indonesia and being forced to leave early because of ash threats from a volcano.
South Korea is the third stop on Obama's four-nation economic and goodwill tour of Asia.

US President Barack Obama and China's President Hu Jintao expressed their readiness to keep their countries' relationship moving forward, ahead of the G20 summit in Seoul.
Addressing the press before their meeting, the two leaders made no specific mention of the currency policy dispute between the two countries.
President Obama stressed that US and China as two leading nuclear powers and two of the world's leading economies have special obligations.
"We have a special obligation to deal with issues of nuclear proliferation," President Obama said.
"As two of the world's leading economies we have a special obligation to deal with insuring a strong, balanced, sustainable growth," he added.
President Hu said China stands ready to work with the US to increase dialogue and cooperation.
In a joint news conference with the South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, President Obama said the final communique of the G20 summit would include mechanisms to promote balanced and sustainable international economic growth.
But, President Lee Myung-bak's failure to announce that he and Obama, among the staunchest of allies at the summit, had agreed on a
long-stalled free trade accord as expected did not bode well for the mood at the summit.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon touched down in Seoul early on Wednesday as he arrived to take part in this week's G20 summit.
Ban is scheduled to meet South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak and Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik later on Wednesday.
The Secretary General said he hopes to discuss North Korea's nuclear programmes, among other issues, with the leaders during his visit.
The Group of 20 leaders summit is being held in Asia for the first time, starting on Thursday.
The forum, established in 1999, features leaders from a combination of rich nations, developing economies, rising powers and consumers and producers of natural resources.
It took the financial crisis, however, to thrust the G-20 into a position of global leadership, supplanting the Group of Seven club of advanced nations.
Besides discussing currencies and reducing trade gaps, G-20 leaders are also likely to endorse proposals for beefing up supervision of large banks and other financial institutions.
They are also widely expected to express support for a proposal to give developing countries more voting power at the International Monetary Fund and more seats on the board of the key global lender.

South Korean police said about 2,500 people protested on Thursday near the Seoul convention centre where the Group of 20 leaders' summit is being held.
Seoul authorities were on high alert as the summit gets under way later on Thursday with more than 30 leaders from the world's major and emerging economies taking part.
A South Korean woman doused herself with paint thinner near the summit venue but was stopped by police before she could set herself on fire, police said.
Protesters carried placards reading "Stop G20" and "G20 Out" and wore masks representing G20 leaders including US President Barack Obama and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak.
Some of the protesters held banners denouncing Korea's Four Major Rivers Project, which involves building new dams on the country's four largest rivers.
The two-day summit of the G-20 encompasses developed nations such as Germany and the US along with emerging giants like China, Brazil and India.
The summit participants are hoping to tackle deeply sensitive issues that include state manipulation of currencies, trade gaps, protectionism and strengthening regulation of banks.
Kang-sil Lee, the executive director of Korea Alliance of Progressive Movements, who was at the protest, called on the leaders to take into account the views and needs of ordinary people when making economic decisions.

South Korean special forces demonstrated their policing skills in Seoul on Monday as part of a drill ahead of the G20 summit due to be held in the city next month.
The simulations included the team tackling hostage situations and bomb disposal.
The top level security is being planned to safeguard world leaders against possible extremist attacks or violent demonstrations during the November summit.
A special exercise was held to showcase their abilities.
Special Forces came down from a helicopter setting up explosives on windows and gained control over extremists by entering from various points all at once.
They will be using state of the art bomb disposal equipment including remote-controllable robots which are able to remove explosives.
During a demonstration of ways to suppress possible riots multi-purpose armoured vehicles were used for the first time.
These vehicles are comparable to other vans in size, but have armour in front and a water canon, which is used to disperse the crowd and officers can identify protesters involved by colour stain from the water on their clothes.
Sa Kong-IL, the chairman of the Presidential Committee for the G20 Summit, spoke at the ceremony saying how vital it was that important visitors were safe while attending the summit.

STORYLINE
Anti-terror exercises took place in Seoul on Wednesday as part of 11 days of the Ulchi Freedom Guardian drills.
The drill, at the COEX exhibition complex in the South Korean capital where a G-20 summit is due to be held in November, involved more than 240 people from government, military, police and private sectors.
It began with a simulated CBR (chemical, biological and radiological) terror attack, with yellow and white smoke billowing from a bin outside the building.
Special forces, police and fire fighters were dispatched to the site to rescue people and conduct a detoxification process.
In similar style to drills that took place in Goyang on Tuesday, special forces rescued people who had been taken hostage on a bus by people acting as "terrorists".
Special forces descended on the building from helicopters, removing one of the "terrorists" from the building.
South Korea and US troops were also continuing computerised military drills on Wednesday despite North Korea warning it would retaliate with a "merciless counterblow" for the exercises Pyongyang considers rehearsal for invasion.
The drills, a further part of the Ulchi Freedom Guardian, are annual war games that involve thousands of South Korean and US troops both at home and abroad.
The exercises are designed to improve the allies' joint capability to defend the South and respond to any potential provocations, the US military said in a statement last month.

Our top story this morning,...
Under growing pressure to do more to jolt the sluggish world economy back to life,... G20 nations have finalized a plan to boost global GDP by more than two trillion U.S. dollars over five years by investing in infrastructure and increasing trade.
Korea′s national economic plans were commended and parts were even included in an action plan drawn up in Brisbane.
Choi You-sun reports.
The Korean government′s three-year economic innovation plan has been hailed at the G20 summit in Australia.
The plan aims to spur growth and expand the job market through social reforms, deregulation and support for the "creative industries."
"Korea′s expected GDP growth, as based on the three-year economic innovation plan, was found to be the highest among the G20 nations."
While predicting the G20′s combined GDP could expand 2-point-1 percent from the current trend in 2018, given that their submitted strategies are carried out, the IMF and the OECD, which assessed the strategies, said Korea′s GDP could grow 4-point-4 percent.
In fact, key policies in Korea′s plan have been included in the Brisbane action plan.
In addition to overcoming low growth, another main theme at this year′s G20 was how to achieve global economic resilience.
In line with this, President Park Geun-hye called on developed nations to be more careful when adjusting their currency policies, as that could have a negative effect on emerging economies.
"The president said that developed nations′ policies that only consider the domestic economy could lead to a negative spillover in emerging economies. And this, in return could spill back into the advanced economies."
This was thought to have been the Korean president′s indirect way of raising concerns about the depreciation of the Japanese yen.
Although unable to unite around one policy on the matter, the G20 member countries have agreed to monitor the spillover and discourage currency devaluation for the sake of competitiveness.
"Having promoted her security and economic policies, and highlighted Korea′s global contributions, President Park will wrap up her three-nation tour and return home on Monday.
Choi You-sun, Arirang News, Brisbane."

President Park Geun-hye carries on with her three-nation tour to attend various multilateral gatherings this week, and her final stop is Australia.
Our presidential office correspondent Choi You-sun gives us a run-down... of the president′s itinerary at the G20 Summit.
"President Park Geun-hye has touched down in the Australian city of Brisbane, where she will join leaders of the Group of 20 nations to seek an action plan to achieve collective economic growth of two percent above trend in five years."
The G20 predicts it will help the global GDP jump by some two trillion U.S. dollars and create millions of new jobs.
As each member nation presents its own growth strategy, President Park will introduce Seoul′s efforts to spur domestic growth and expand the job market through social reforms, deregulation and supporting creative industries, also called the three-year economic innovation plan.
On the sidelines of the summit, the Korean president will meet the Saudi crown prince to seek out more opportunities for Korean firms to invest in the Arab country′s nuclear reactor and infrastructure construction.
Seoul will also likely ask Saudi Arabia to take part in Korea′s project to establish itself as the oil hub of Northeast Asia.
President Park is expected to hold talks with New Zealand Prime Minister John Key as well, where their two-way FTA negotiations will top the agenda.
Having promoted her administration′s economic and security policies to world leaders, and highlighted Korea′s contributions to global stability and prosperity, President Park will wrap up her three-nation tour and return home on Monday.

Good evening to our viewers in Korea and hello to those around the world. I′m Moon Conn-young.
Title: President Park calls for resolution for ′comfort women′ issue
President Park says it is high time that Japan made a decision on resolving the issue of its systematic enslavement of women for sexual service in its Imperial Army leading up to and during World War II.
This... in written answers to questions submitted by local and international news agencies today.
On North Korea... the South Korean leader said... "there is no reason NOT to hold an inter-Korean summit IF a breakthrough comes in solving the North Korean nuclear issue."
Arirang News′ top office correspondent Hwang Sung-hee breaks down what President Park had to say.
On Japan′s wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women, President Park called for a resolution that can heal the wounds of the past.
She expressed hope for concrete progress on the issue, saying Japan is going against international sentiment by dragging the issue out without admitting its wrongdoing.
President Park and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed to speed up negotiations on the so-called ′comfort women′ issue at their first face-to-face summit in Seoul earlier this month.
With both leaders attending a string of multilateral summits starting this weekend..., President Park′s ten-day tour could provide her with an opportunity to continue talks with Abe.
On inter-Korean relations, President Park said she is open to talks at the highest level.
This, under the condition that there is progress in regards to North Korea′s denuclearization and inter-Korean ties.
For now, she said the Koreas must work on building trust step-by-step.
On the upcoming G20, APEC and ASEAN Plus Three summits, President Park said the leaders will focus on securing inclusive and continued growth.
She said South Korea will actively take part in discussions on the Korea-Japan-China free trade agreement and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership deal... at the APEC summit.
