Leapfrog is Kars Alfrink’s longtime home on the web. Kars is a designer active in the area of play, technology and society. Currently, he is partner at Hubbub, a studio for playful design, which he founded in 2009.

Earlier, Kars initiated and co-curated the Dutch offshoot of This happened, a series of events about the stories behind interaction design. He has worked as an educator and researcher at the Utrecht School of the Arts, and before that as an interaction designer at a couple of web agencies.

Kars holds a master of arts in interaction design from the Utrecht School of the Arts. He is a voracious bookworm, aspiring yogi, unapologetic coffee snob, amateur chef, board game geek and recovering comics artist. (Phew!) He lives and works in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
