Jack Kerwick, who holds a doctorate in philosophy from Temple University and teaches at various colleges in the Philadelphia area, is a talented polemicist as well as learned academic. For those who want to sample the unleashed Jack Kerwick, I recommend his recent anthology The American Offensive, available in Kindle or paperback.

Jack is a commentator on multiple websites, and (unlike myself) is allowed to post on the GOP Establishment forum Townhall.com. As I read over his pieces there, I sometimes gape in disbelief. Jack is one of the few commentators on Townhall who pushes the anti-PC envelope. (Pat Buchanan and Ann Coulter do too, but both of these celebrities are far better connected than Jack—and no doubt harder to get rid of).

Not surprisingly, not all of Jack’s pieces are accepted by Townhall or by the neoconservative FrontpageMag, which is also one of his outlets. Those of his commentaries that seem (to use his term) “too insensitive” for Conservatism, Inc. go on to his own website, and from there at least some of them have found their way into The American Offensive.

Judges will use even the most absurd rationales to enable illegal aliens to remain in our country. First the good news: the Washington Post’s economics columnist Robert J. Samuelson has (not for the first time) smuggled into the MSM a reference to the need for “limits on low-skilled immigration” to combat income inequality ( The ‘hollowing’ of the middle class? January 3, 2016). This has been a VDARE.com theme for, well, ever.

The bad news: on past form, Samuelson’s sensible statement will have absolutely no effect on MSM debate about immigration—the more so because America’s labor market ended the year with an impressive sprint as employers added 292,000 workers to their payrolls in December. I looked at my friend’s body lying in the coffin and watched his parents and brothers sob uncontrollably. He had been a college football player: the punishing toll on his body led to an addiction to painkillers. Heroin was cheaper: he died of an overdose.
