Dombivli or Dombivali  pronunciation (help·info)(Marathi: डोंबिवली) is a city in Thane district, Kalyan tehsil in Maharashtra, India. It is located about twenty kilometres from Thane and about fifty kilometres from the city of Mumbai. The population of the city, according to the 2011 census is 2,293,000,^{[citation needed]}. It is an important suburb of Thane. This place is a cosmopolitan city. The local community is known as Agri. They speak a language called Agri Bhasha. However, Agri bhasha is becoming more of extinct due to the rapid spread of the state language Marathi. The Agri community is either rich or poor. They were basically owning the land in and around dombivli. However, over the last 3 decades, they have sold their land to real estate companies, real estate builders for construction. Thus, they made money by selling land or developing houses and selling or giving on rent. The Agri community has a negligible presence and is a minority in dombivli; however, being the localities they hold huge sway over the political environment and real estate business in and around dombivli.

Raj Shrikant Thackeray (Marathi: राज श्रीकांत ठाकरे) (born 14 June 1968) is the founder and president of the right-wing^{[citation needed]}Marathi ethnocentric regional political party, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena ("Maharashtra Reformation Army") in the state of Maharashtra, India. His official name is Swararaj which means the king of musical notes. He is the nephew of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, and a cousin of the current Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray.

Raj was born on 14 June 1968 in a Marathi Kayastha (CKP) family to Shrikant Thackeray (younger brother of Bal Thackeray) and Kunda Thackeray (younger sister of Bal Thackeray's wife Meena Thackeray). Raj’s father Shrikant Thackeray was a musician, cartoonist and was also well versed in Urdu. He studied in Balmohan Vidyamandir, Mumbai and graduated from the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art, Mumbai. As a child he is said to have learnt the tabla, the guitar and the violin. He also loved drawing which later turned into a passion for drawing cartoons.

Sandeep Kulkarni (born Sandeep Shrikanth Kulkarni on 16 November 1964) is an actor from India who is also a painter. An actor from theatre, television, and films, his work is popular among Hindi and Marathi audiences.

He has acted in three National Award-winning films: Shwaas (2004), India's official entry to the Oscars; Dombivali Fast (2006); and Traffic Signal (2007). He won three Maharashtra State awards in the Best Actor category for Shwaas in 2004, Dombivali Fast in 2006 and Adhantari in 2005. He won the best actor award in the Nigerian Film Festival^[which?] for his critically acclaimed performance in the film Ek Daav Sansaracha in 2009. His remarkable contributions were steps in the positive direction to lift Marathi movies at an international platform.

Born in Pune, Sandeep was raised in a Maharashtrian middle-class Kayasth family by father Shrikanth Kulkarni and mother Lata Kulkarni. Though an introvert during his early schooling in Mumbai, he expressed his thoughts through the power of sketches and colours. Further on towards high school, he decided to become an 'artist’ while envisioning graduation from the best arts school in Mumbai — Sir J. J. School of Art.

Gopinath Munde (born December 12, 1949)) is an Indian politician. He is a senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Gopinath Munde was born in Nathra Village, Parali, Beed, Maharashtra, India, in a farmer's family in rural Maharashtra. According to him, his parents "struggled against heavy odds and did not spare any efforts to provide education for him". Gopinath also mentions on his website that his primary education was in his village which, at that time, did not have a school building and remembers having "trodden a long stretch of 12 km to appear for the examination with a swollen foot".

For secondary education, he moved to Parali town to attend the Zilla Parishad school. After passing matriculation, he joined college in Ambejogai for graduation in commerce. It was here that he was drawn to politics. He claims to have ensured the victory of members of his group. It was also believed that he met his wife Pradnya, sister of Pramod Mahajan.

Gopinath is the former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra state in India. He is member of 15th Lok Sabha (2009–2014) and represents Beed. He was Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha from 12 December 1991 to 14 March 1995, after which Shiv Sena - BJP alliance government come in power during 1995-1999. During this time he held the position of Home Minister of Maharashtra state. He carried out controversial encounters of mafia, that is why there became one slogan that time "Maharashtra ke do gunde Joshi-Munde"
