Once an avid user
The SMH had an excellent app and then they decided to re-invent it, removing many of its useful features and replacing them with shortcomings. Very helpful! The app crashes if you so much as dare to touch it; articles keep collapsing back to normal view size after you've expanded them; if you close the app and re-open it (or, more likely, if it closes itself) then you're back to page 1 and have to find your page again (and again) (whereas the old version always re-opened on the page you were reading). Finally the Saturday edition now downloads as one 'super-sized' paper containing all the sections whereas previously you could simply download the sections that you wanted. The result is a tediously long download time.
Oh, and what happened to access to the 'Sydney Magazine'?
Give us back the old (and perfectly functional) app.
Pathetic
Slow to load, you cant read a previous issue when loading a new one! This way worse than the previous version.
So slow
Very slow to load if you don't have a fast internet connection. In the old version I could just download the bit I needed, one section at a time. I had hoped that the bug fix would make it faster to load, but it is just as slow. I much preferred the old version.
