Kathleen "Kat" Moon (née Slater) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Jessie Wallace. She was also played by Kate Peck in a flashback in 2001. Kat is the daughter of Viv and Charlie Slater (Derek Martin), and arrived with her sisters Lynne Hobbs (Elaine Lordan) and Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth). Her daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) is initially believed to be her sister as well until Kat reveals she was raped by her uncle Harry Slater (Michael Elphick) as a child. She later marries Alfie Moon (Shane Richie). She appeared in the show from September 2000 to November 2004, then returned in May 2005. She left again on 25 December 2005, and returned on 17 September 2010. Wallace was written out of EastEnders temporarily in January 2012 for a three-month period and the character will return on 7 June 2012.
Kat is described as "a bit of a floozy", "a bitch" and "very lazy". The EastEnders website says that as soon as Kat arrived in Walford with her "fake tan, heavy make-up and hoop earrings", viewers would know that Kat would bring a dose of "Viagra to the men of Albert Square". Richie revealed in an interview with This Morning that Kat and Alfie would be involved in an ongoing storyline, which he said is "going to be the biggest soap story in probably the history of soaps." At the end of 2010, Kat and Ronnie both give birth on the same day, but Ronnie's baby, James, dies and while Kat is in hospital and her baby, Tommy, is unattended, Ronnie swaps the infants. The storyline received over 6,000 complaints, making it the second most complained about EastEnders storyline. It was then decided to end the storyline earlier than originally planned.

Roxy is the younger of the two sisters. She is described as the fire, as opposed to Ronnie's ice.
Roxy's major storylines have seen her break off her engagement with her fiancé, fall out with her sister on several occasions, and assume relationships with Jase Dyer and Sean Slater, as well as betraying Ronnie by sleeping with her on-off boyfriend, Jack Branning and later becoming embroiled in a custody battle with Jack over their daughter, Amy. The character has proved popular with viewers, with Simons winning 'Best Newcomer' award at the Digital Spy Soap Awards in 2008 for her role in the soap.

Ronnie and her sister Roxy (played by Rita Simons) were introduced by executive producer Diederick Santer in July 2007; Ronnie is the "ice" to Roxy's "fire". An extension of the already established Mitchell family, Ronnie quickly became a prominent character, taking over the soap's club and forming a relationship with her business partner, Jack Branning. Womack filmed her final scenes in May 2011, and made her final appearance on 7 July 2011.
Ronnie is the oldest child of Archie (Larry Lamb) and Glenda Mitchell (Glynis Barber). She was raped several times by her father at the age of 13. The following year, she fell pregnant by her boyfriend Joel Reynolds (Cavan Clerkin). Glenda walked out on her family when Ronnie was five months pregnant, as a result of Archie's constant philandering and controlling nature. Archie sent Ronnie to live with distant relatives, where she gave birth to her daughter, Amy, on 26 June 1989. Within hours of the birth, Archie had the baby adopted. Ronnie disowned her father and left home in 1993, aged 19. Ronnie and her sister Roxy (Rita Simons) later moved to Ibiza, where they ran a bar together.

Although young, he took responsibility for his younger brother Spencer (Christopher Parker) and his grandmother Victoria (Hilda Braid), widely known as Nana. Alfie spent three years in prison for credit card fraud after taking the blame for his second cousins Jake (Joel Beckett) and Danny (Jake Maskall).
