I joined Twitter in 2009 because it seemed like a really powerful way of getting your beliefs across. Before too long, my first trolls arrived and started hurling all sorts at me. It ranged from jokes about it being past my bedtime, to petty insults, to full on homophobic abuse. But I think if you met these trolls in person they wouldn't dream of speaking to you like that. So I went to Dorset to meet one of those Twitter trolls (@pasparakis) to find out exactly why he does it.

In politics, the Left, left-wing and leftists are people or views which generally support social change to create a more egalitarian society. They usually involve a concern for those in society who are disadvantaged relative to others and an assumption that there are unjustified inequalities (which right-wing politics views as natural or traditional) that should be reduced or abolished.
The political terms Left and Right were coined during the French Revolution (1789-1799), referring to the seating arrangement in the Estates General: those who sat on the left generally supported the radical changes of the revolution, including the creation of a republic and secularization, while those on the right were supportive of the traditional institutions of the Old Regime. Use of the term "Left" became more prominent after the restoration of the French monarchy in 1815 when it was applied to the "Independents". The term was later applied to a number of revolutionary movements, especially socialism, anarchism and communism as well as more reformist movements such as social democracy and social liberalism.

A wing is an appendage with a surface that produces lift for flight or propulsion through the atmosphere, or through another gaseous or liquid fluid. A wing is an airfoil, which has a streamlined cross-sectional shape producing a useful lift to drag ratio.
The word "wing" from the Old Norse vængr for many centuries referred mainly to the foremost limbs of birds (in addition to the architectural aisle.) But in recent centuries the word's meaning has extended to include lift producing appendages of insects, bats, pterosaurs, boomerangs, some sail boats and aircraft.
"Wing" can also mean an inverted airfoil on a race car that generates a downward force to increase traction.
Various species of penguins and other flighted or flightless water birds such as auks, cormorants, guillemots, shearwaters, eider and scoter ducks and diving petrels are avid swimmers, and use their wings to propel through water.
A wing's aerodynamic quality is expressed as its lift-to-drag ratio. The lift a wing generates at a given speed and angle of attack can be one to two orders of magnitude greater than the total drag on the wing. A high lift-to-drag ratio requires a significantly smaller thrust to propel the wings through the air at sufficient lift.

The word asshole, a variant of arsehole, which is still prevalent in British and Australian English, is a vulgar to describe the anus, often pejoratively used to refer to people.
The word arse in English derives from the Germanic root *arsaz, which originated from the Proto-Indo-European root *ors — meaning buttocks or backside. The combined form arsehole is first attested from 1500 in its literal use to refer to the anus. The metaphorical use of the word to refer to the worst place in a region, e.g., "the arsehole of the world") is first attested in print in 1865; the use to refer to a contemptible person is first attested in 1933. In the ninth chapter of his 1945 autobiography, Black Boy, Richard Wright quotes a snippet of verse that uses the term: "All these white folks dressed so fine / Their ass-holes smell just like mine ...". Its first appearance as an insult term in a newspaper indexed by Google News is in 1965. As with other vulgarities, these uses of the word may have been common in oral speech for some time before their first print appearances. By the 1970s, Hustler magazine featured people they did not like as "Asshole of the Month." In 1972, Jonathan Richman's Modern Lovers recorded his song "Pablo Picasso," which includes the line "Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole."

The leaders of two major left-wing parties in Spain say they will vote against a new government of the ruling People's Party even if it manages to form a coalition government.
Pablo Iglesias made the comments a day after the general elections. Sunday's voting ended with the victory of the People's Party but it fell far short of a majority. The anti-austerity leader added he's optimistic that his bloc would secure stunning results if snap elections were to be held. One of the senior leaders of the Socialist Party also said his bloc would not throw its support behind the ruling party.

A historically fragmented vote in Spanish elections on Sunday heralded weeks of talks to form a coalition government, with neither Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy's conservatives nor left-wing parties winning a clear mandate to govern.
Despite garnering the most votes, the center-right People's Party (PP) had its worst result ever in a general election as Spaniards angered by high-level corruption cases and soaring unemployment turned away from the party in droves.
The outcome was reminiscent of a similar situation in neighboring Portugal, where the incumbent conservatives won an October election but a socialist government backed by far left parties was ultimately sworn in.
An unexpected surge from upstart anti-austerity party Podemos, which now partly holds the key to power, is the latest example of rising populist forces in Europe at the expense of mainstream center-right and center-left parties.
In Spain, the fragmented vote heralded a new era of pact-making, shattering a two-party system that has dominated Spain since the 1970s and casting a pall over an economic reform program that has helped pull the country out of recession.
"We're starting a period that will not be easy," Rajoy told cheering supporters from the balcony of the party headquarters in central Madrid. "It will be necessary to reach pacts and agreements and I will try to do this."
However, the likelihood of a PP-led coalition faded with the robust showing of Podemos who roared into third place, outpacing fellow newcomer Ciudadanos whose market-friendly policies had been seen as a natural fit for the PP.
A tie-up between the PP and Ciudadanos would yield 163 seats, far short of the 176 needed for a majority administration.
The strong results of Podemos tipped the balance to the left of the political spectrum with five left-wing parties led by the opposition Socialists and Podemos together winning 172 seats.
Such a left-wing alliance will be hard to form, however, as groups differ on economic policy and the degree of autonomy that should be awarded to the wealthy northeastern region Catalonia, home to an entrenched independence movement.
"This result confirms Spain has entered an era of political fragmentation," said Teneo Intelligence analyst Antonio Barroso. "The key question is whether there will be a coalition of parties against Rajoy."
'SPAIN IS NOT GERMANY'
The Spanish constitution does not set a specific deadline to form a government after the election. Analysts say negotiations to secure enough parliamentary support for a new prime minister could go for weeks - and maybe trigger another election.
"What most worries me is what the new government will look like and how it will govern," said PP supporter, 29-year-old teacher Carlos Fernandez, standing outside the party headquarters in central Madrid.
"The PP can't form a majority with Ciudadanos, but nor can anyone else form a majority. A grand coalition between the PP and the opposition Socialists seems the best option, but I doubt that will happen."
Leader of the opposition Socialists, Pedro Sanchez, said on Sunday Rajoy had the right to have a first go at forming a government as he had won the most votes.
"Spain wants the left, Spain wants change, but the PP has won the most votes," he said. "It falls to the leading political force to try and form a government."
A minority PP government would be technically possible but unlikely due to the strong left-wing vote, as would be a grand coalition between the PP and the Socialists, which both parties vehemently ruled out during campaigning.
"The results are so close, but Spain is not like Germany and will not form a grand coalition," said Rodrigo Serrano, a retired 67-year-old and former coach company owner at a Ciudadanos supporters event in Madrid.
"Now everyone will have to listen to each other, negotiate and talk. And put Spain and its government and stability ahead of everything else."

Parties began staking out positions for what are expected to be weeks of complex talks on forming a government after Rajoy's center-right PP won most votes in Sunday's election but fell well short of the 176 seats needed for a parliamentary majority.
Two newcomers - leftist anti-austerity Podemos ("We can") and the liberal Ciudadanos ("Citizens") - entered the mainstream for the first time, ending domination by the PP and Socialists stretching back to soon after dictator Francisco Franco's death in 1975.
The two parties won scores of seats in parliament, tapping widespread anger over a recently-ended economic slump and high-level corruption in the European Union's fifth-largest economy.
The close vote, which put the Socialists in second place ahead of Podemos and Ciudadanos, makes it extremely difficult for any party to win majority support, raising the possibility of a deadlock that could force new elections in the new year.
Markets were spooked by the political uncertainty and nervous investors moved out of Spanish assets, sending the country's shares lower and benchmark bond yields higher.
As leader of the largest party, Rajoy gets first chance to try to reach an agreement with other parties that would allow him to govern. But the Socialists and Podemos quickly said that they would reject a new government led by the 60-year-old Rajoy.
"Podemos would not permit a PP government, either actively or passively," Podemos leader Pablo Iglesias told reporters, meaning that his party will neither vote for PP rule nor abstain in a parliamentary vote on a new government.
Senior Socialist official Cesar Luena said his party would vote 'no' to a government headed by Rajoy and the PP.
LEFT-WING OPTION
The two left-wing parties won 159 seats between them in the 350-seat parliament, and with Catalan nationalists likely to join them in opposing the PP, it appears to make it virtually impossible for the PP, which won 123 seats, to construct a majority.
That could open the prospect of a left-wing coalition, similar to what happened in neighboring Portugal, where the incumbent conservatives won an October election but a Socialist government backed by far-left parties was sworn in.
However, it is not easy for the left-wing parties to build a majority either.
Albert Rivera, leader of business-friendly Ciudadanos, which won 40 seats in parliament, came out in support of a PP minority government, which would negotiate with Ciudadanos, the Socialists and Podemos to support it in votes on different laws.
Rivera said a left-wing coalition of up to 11 parties would not be viable.
"Spain cannot allow itself to be Greece, Spain cannot allow itself to be a chaotic country," he told Telecinco TV.
A top PP official said the negotiations could undermine Spain's fledgling economic recovery. The country is now one of the fastest-growing economies in the euro zone after a long financial crisis, though unemployment remains above 20 percent.
"I am asking everyone to show responsibility, because the stability of Spain is at stake, progress in the economic recovery is at stake," the PP's Fernando Martinez-Maillo told Cadena Ser radio.
Ratings agency Moody's said the political uncertainty could put the brakes on a long-awaited rating upgrade.
Reflecting the concerns of foreign investors, Markus Kerber, director-general of the BDI Federation of German Industries, urged Spain's new government to "stay the course" on economic policy.
The close result magnifies the importance of small separatist parties from Catalonia, which could try to extract concessions such as the promise of an independence referendum as the price for their support.
Also at stake is whether Spain continues to follow the belt-tightening measures to cut its budget deficit that the PP credits for helping end the recession.
Both Podemos and the Socialists have pledged to slow the pace of deficit-cutting if they gain power.

Given the impact they have had, it’s hard to believe Leftwing & Kody only launched in 2012. The duo’s first EP brought them immediate recognition from their industry peers and the rest they say is history. With an infectious sound that draws on swinging hi hats, low slung synths and masterly crafted basslines, and by joining the dots between the past and the present in their own unique way, Leftwing & Kody have since been back in the Beatport charts with three top 10 records. No wonder Mixmag and DJ Mag ear marked them as ones to watch in 2013 where the guys were also nominated for the “Best Breakthrough DJ” at the Best Of British DJ Mag awards
2014 has seen L&K; expand and experiment with their music and has included remixing and working with House music pioneers such as Robert Owens, Todd Terry, Romanthony & Roger Sanchez. With their style touching all the basses between House & Techno I’ts no surprise support has come from the likes of Carl Cox, James Zabiela , MK Coyu, Loco Dice, Booka Shade, Yousef, Steve Lawler, Adam Beyer, Jimmy Edgar and Huxley which shows how broad their production palette is.
Following on from such high profile props the pair have much more in the pipeline including expanding their label Lost Records which will see the duo release their debut and highly anticipated collaboration towards the end of 2014.
