At 9:22am on the 05th February 2015 (Time stamp is wrong) I was riding to work and approached the intersection on Hindmarsh drive while exiting the Tuggeranong Parkway south bound. I intended to turn left onto Hindmarsh Drive into the centre lane as advised by the clear signage approaching the intersection. As I approached the intersection the lights were green. Just before the intersection the lights turned orange. I had enough time to stop, however as there was a white Corolla close behind me I decided to proceed through the intersection. The Corolla had more than enough warning/time to stop. I did cut the intersection a little but this was to avoid slowing quickly or cornering to hard. As I was cornering the white Corolla behind me decided to come up beside me and turn with me, he was actually in my lane, his front bumper was 10cm off my rear tyre. As I completed my turn into the centre lane of Hindmarsh Drive he quickly went into the right lane. This move is illegal. As the Corolla came up beside me I beeped my horn and gave the driver a shrugged hand gesture as if to ask ‘What were you thinking?’ At this point I was happy to let it go and continue on my way. I continued down Hindmarsh drive and indicated my intention to move into the right lane. The Corolla was a car length behind in the right lane. As I moved across the Corolla came speeding up behind me and proceed to try and pass me on the right within approx. 20cm of me while beeping aggressively. If I not decided to take the left hand line on that lane but proceed to the centre of the lane I would have collided with him. He braked and moved in behind me all the while aggressively on his horn. His later excuse was that I cut him off, but as you can see he was clearly behind me. He also started beeping before I even moved over. As we approached the intersection of Melrose Drive the Corolla driver then moved partially into the centre lane while still beeping aggressively and coming up beside me again. I decided to stop at the intersection beside him and ask him why he was being so aggressive. At this point I got a little cranky at his lack of care and I folded his mirror back. No damage was caused to the mirror or the car as can been seen in the video. After this incident while waiting further ahead at the lights the driver kept grinning at me with this smarmy arrogant grin. He then pulled out his phone and sent a text, after that he started giving me the finger while kissing and licking his finger. This really got me fired up. I truly believe he is psychopathic and it demonstrates he really didn’t care that he was using car as a weapon. If I had my I would like to see him charged with attempted assault with a weapon but I know that will never happen. So now completely fired up at this maniac I decided to follow him to his destination to ask about his driving attitude. As can be seen in the video at 6:55 , as the driver turned left onto Culogoa Circuit from Tyagarah St he failed to indicate left. He then failed to indicate again turning left onto Dalman Cres and again onto Tinbarra Cres. He then pulled into the ‘IN’ driveway of the High Commission for the republic of Pakistan. I decided to follow him in but he then suddenly puts the car in reverse and reverses at me before I can even move. I manage back up a little and turns out my way but it was still close. He then gets out of the car and completely blames me and accuses me of driving erratically and speeding. Watch the video and decide for yourself. It’s also a very poor excuse for trying to knock me off my bike. It also demonstrates how psycho this person is that he thinks it’s an excuse for deliberately driving a 1.5 ton car at 180kg bike. He is in big metal cage, I have a jacket to protect me. The man is mental if thinks there is any excuse in the world for his actions. Please leave your comment about the incident and let me know if you think I was at fault. I admit I was aggressive and could have handled the situation better. However please remember that I had just had a very close encounter with complete psychopath so my adrenalin was pumping and I reacted quickly, I couldn't even get my left & rights straight.
