Lolene Everett (born March 12, 1985), professionally known simply as Lolene, is a British recording artist, songwriter, record producer and performer from Bristol, England.
Lolene was raised by her mother and describes herself as "independent by default" for this reason. While in Bristol, Lolene began singing backing vocals for Martina Topley-Bird (vocalist for Tricky) and also collaborated with local drum and bass pioneer Roni Size.
On relocating to London, Lolene signed a development deal with BMG Records to front their latest girl group. She wrote the group's material, but left shortly after to pursue a solo career and focus on her songwriting. Lolene created her alter ego, Miss Foo Foo, while involved in London's club scene. She describes her created character as "the spoilt, extravert, heightened part of my existence."
Lolene moved to Los Angeles and signed to Beluga Heights/Sony ATV after being discovered by record producer J.R. Rotem (Rihanna, Britney Spears) and his manager Zach Katz. Initially hired as a writer, Lolene began developing her personal sound with the help of Rotem and other producers.
Martin David Robinson (September 26, 1925 – December 8, 1982), known professionally as Marty Robbins, was an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. One of the most popular and successful country and Western singers of his era, for most of his nearly four-decade career, Robbins was rarely far from the country music charts, and several of his songs also became pop hits.
Robbins was born in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix, in Maricopa County, Arizona. He was reared in a difficult family situation. His father took odd jobs to support the family of ten children. His father's drinking led to divorce in 1937. Among his warmer memories of his childhood, Robbins recalled having listened to stories of the American West told by his maternal grandfather, Texas Bob Heckle. Robbins left the troubled home at the age of 17 to serve in the United States Navy as an LCT coxswain during World War II. He was stationed in the Solomon Islands in the Pacific. To pass the time during the war, he learned to play the guitar, started writing songs, and came to love Hawaiian music.
Dennis White, better known as his stage name Static Revenger, is an American record producer, video director, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He is best known for the worldwide club hits "I Like That", "Happy People", and "Everything is Beautiful". He has seven #1 Billboard club chart tracks including Swedish House Mafia, Madonna, Shakira, and Lady Antebellum for "Need You Now", which won the 2011 Grammy for 'Song Of The Year'. "Happy People" peaked at #23 in the UK Singles Chart in July 2001.
From an early start in dance music as the music director for the Detroit techno group, Inner City, he went on to form the marginally successful Detroit alternative dance rock band, Charm Farm, best known for the song "Superstar". As part of their range of idents from 1998 to 2002, the song "Happy People" was used on various idents for Sky One.
In 2007, he released together with Taj Bell, the song "Everything is Beautiful". This song was released on the Ministry of Sound compilation album, Clubbers Guide 2008.
When but a boy I courted Sally my life was young not quite sixteen
We talked of things I sometimes dreamed of and things beyond my wildest dreams
At seventeen I met Wynonna her warm red lips set me aglow
She taught me things she should not teach me more than a young man ought to know
At nineteen years my love was Sarah she was much older than the rest
Of all the men she said had kissed her she loved the way I kissed her best
Time has flown and I am older my years are five and thirty-five
Too late too late I've met my lover a woman very much alive
Lolene Lolene your name is music your nearness makes my blood run wild
Less and less I cannot claim you compared to me you're but a child
So one last time I must be with you and kiss the lips that thrilled my heart
