Eternally Yours - Full Official Movie - Great Quality Film :) Eternally Yours is a 1939 American United Artists film produced and directed by Tay Garnett with Walter Wanger as executive producer, from a screenplay by C. Graham Baker and Gene Towne. It stars Loretta Young and David Niven. Composer Werner Janssen was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Music. PLOT Anital Halstead (Loretta Young) goes to see a magic act performed by Tony (David Niven), the Great Arturo, after her bridal shower for her wedding to Don Burns (Broderick Crawford). Anita and Tony are immediately attracted to each other and get married. She becomes his assistant in the act. One night, Tony becomes drunk in the company of a woman reporter and boasts he will jump out of an airplane at 15,000 feet (4,600 m) with his hands handcuffed behind his back. When she prints his claim, he first tries to get out of it with a fake cast on his arm, but when he sees the thousands of fans, he goes through with it, freeing himself in mid-air and parachuting safely to the ground. He promises Anita that he will not attempt the dangerous stunt again, but soon breaks his word and performs it repeatedly all over the world. Anita becomes weary of the constant travel and longs to settle down and start a family. Secretly, she sells her jewelry and has a house built in the Connecticut countryside. When it is completed, she shows Tony a picture of it, but his disinterested reaction stops her from telling him it is theirs. When he signs up for a two-year, round-the-world tour rather than take the vacation he had promised, she finally gives up. She leaves him and gets a divorce in Reno. Anita's grandfather, Bishop Peabody (C. Aubrey Smith), breaks the news to the distraught Tony. On a sea cruise with her Aunt Abby (Billie Burke), Anita is surprised to run into her old fiance Don. She gets the ship's captain to marry them. However, she spends their honeymoon night with her grandfather. The next night, Don insists on introducing her to his boss, Harley Bingham (Raymond Walburn), at a nightclub. The entertainment is none other than the Great Arturo, with his old assistant, Lola De Vere (Virginia Field). He soon persuades Bingham to let him perform at Bingham's company retreat at a resort, much to Anita's discomfort. Mrs. Bingham (Zazu Pitts) has a dilemma though. They have not booked enough rooms to provide separate bedrooms for the unmarried Tony and Lola. Tony suggests he and Don share one room, while Anita and Lola take the other. During his stay, Tony tries unsuccessfully to persuade Anita to take him back. Meanwhile, the hapless Don becomes sick, and the doctor prescribes no physical activity of any sort for a month. Bishop Peabody is told by his lawyer that Anita's divorce is not legal. Later, he informs his granddaughter that Tony will be doing his parachute stunt that day. She attends. Tony tells his valet and friend Benton (Hugh Herbert) that he hid a lockpick in the wrong airplane, but goes ahead with the trick anyway. He frees himself dangerously close to the ground. After he is pulled unconscious out of the water, Anita rushes to his side. When he regains consciousness, they are reconciled. In the final scene, they enter their Connecticut home. A REVIEW If there was ever one thing every one could agree about David Niven is he had no small amount of debonair charm. It got him through many a film when the role required little else. I would say that is the case in Eternally Yours. Loretta Young, granddaughter of Episcopalian minister C. Aubrey Smith, meets and falls in love with a magician. That would be David Niven. But he's more than a magician, he's the current Houdini wannabe who has skill as a hypnotist and an escape artist. Niven likes the life of a traveling entertainer, but Loretta wants to settle down with a home. After a death defying leap from a plane when he's handcuffed behind him, Young can't deal with the tension any more and she leaves him. He finds he can't go on without her, but she ups and divorces him and marries Broderick Crawford. Of course the rest of the film is about Niven winning Young back in the best tradition of Cary Grant who may very well have been offered this part before Niven. Loretta is certainly worth winning back. I'm betting that Ralph Bellamy turned down the Ralph Bellamy part so Broderick Crawford was cast. Niven enjoys tweaking him in this film, but I'm not sure why unlike Bellamy who was usually a well meaning goof, Crawford didn't just punch him out. The climax takes place at the 1939 World's Fair and you might want to see Eternally Yours for some nostalgia footage of that event. But it is a film that really does get by on the charm of its leads. - If you enjoyed Eternally Yours - Full Official Movi

The Examiner 2012-11-13Tay Garnett (born William Taylor Garnett 13 June 1894 – 3 October 1977) was an American film director and writer.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Garnett served as a naval aviator in World War I and entered films as a screenwriter in 1920. He was a gagwriter for Mack Sennett and Hal Roach, then joined Pathé and began to direct films in 1928. Among his films are One Way Passage (1932), China Seas (1935), Eternally Yours (1939), Seven Sinners (1940), Cheers for Miss Bishop (1941), The Cross of Lorraine (1943), and Bataan (1943). He is best known as the director of the 1946 thriller The Postman Always Rings Twice with John Garfield and Lana Turner. A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1949) with Bing Crosby and Rhonda Fleming was also well-received. Garnett also worked in radio as a writer, director and narrator. He created a show titled "Three Sheets to the Wind"(1942) which starred John Wayne as Dan O'Brien, an American private eye posing as a drunk on a luxury liner sailing from England in 1939.
Ta denne ringen. Sett han på din fing
Kommer du til himmelen går du rett inn
Men en ting, bare en liten ting
Du er ikkje død, du er fortsatt min
Klapp dine hender.
Klapp dine hender. Klapp en siste gong
Tramp ditt trebein på golv av betong
Klokkene ringer, de ringer deg inn
Kom på mi side av di grind
Klapp dine hender, klapp dine hender
Yeah
Send this one out to everybody, trying to make end ends meet
Yeah
I'm on the grind
Still got my money on my mind
And I, feel like I'm walking on the line
When it, seems like I'm running out of time
That's when I'm going on the grind
[Masta Ace]
Ay yo, I'm trying to make my dollars double
I done found a place to fit in
For niggaz trying to get into this power struggle
I work hard on the job like immigrants
And always try to get my first half in advance
It sounds strange but the rap game is not a game
You could make a lot of money gain a lot of fame
But don't get it twisted
You could get addicted
Buy a mansion in the Hamptons, and get evicted
Now if you call me and I'm not around
I'm probably putting my grind down
Doing shows out of town
I be the manager, road manager, and call handler
Booking agent, choreographer and tour planner
I be the V.P. of marketing and promotions
Producer and arraigner, with a range of emotions
And after it all, I still gotta perform
At three o'clock in the morn', when half the fans are gone
But it's fine
Been on the grind since like '88 or '89
The game is foul like a plate of swine
Now is there anybody con like me?
Is anybody out there on the grind like me?
For everybody working nine to five
For everybody trying to rise with they eyes on the prize
I'm with 'cha, we all going through it
But yo, deep down inside I know we still gon' do it
[Chorus]
I'm on the grind
Still got my money on my mind
And I, feel like I'm walking on the line
And it, seems like I'm running out of time
That's why I'm always on the grind
Yeah, I'm on the grind
Still got my money on my mind
And I, feel like I'm walking on the line
When it, seems like I'm running out of time
That's when I'm going on the grind
[Apocalypse]
Yeah
I really feel I'm blessed 'cause I was born with a talent to rhyme
But the stress got me this close to quitting sometimes
On the crowded A train every morning
I can't wait for the day
My hustle game don't got to start this way
Niggaz think it's all good when they see me and hear my CD
And think I'm jumping in the 745 with TVs
They don't know I miss tours and shows
To go to work and pay bills and keep dough on my clothes
In the shadow of a legend so
They expect me to spit and sound like him
But y'all need to let it go
Everyday I face the crossroad of rap or drugs
Album cuts and singles and crack heads and clappin' thugs
When I'm broke my moms won't even give me a hug
But on payday I'm her baby then she call it love
I keep making my moves 'cause one day I'm a prove
I got what it take and I will not lose
Yeah
[Chorus]
I walked all day tryin to find me work,
I must have knocked on one hundred doors.
Would have swallowed my pride for some money,
And be satisfied sweepin' the floors.
Mr. Government-man.
Mr. Silver-and-gold.
Mr. Bustin'-my-ass.
Mr. All-you-can-hold.
I spent last night a sleep on a park bench,
'til a cop came and moved me along.
Told him I wasn't botherin' nobody,
Yes he told me to go.
Everywhere, I get the same kind of answer,
Not now or maybe then.
Well me time is runnin' out on me people, yes me people.
If you're down and without a friend.
[Pep Love]
Uhhh
We don't give a fuck about ya
Makin the dolla makin ya holla
Breakin all of the rules
To turn it out yall
Awaken the scholar
The priest the popes
Without a doubt yall
They can douse yall
With dreams and hopes in the sky
Beyond the clouds
Beyond the crowds and the shrouds
In disguise
Bullshit, endless lies
Manifest destiny tries the best in me
Eyes focused upon the prize
Mucho dinero needed for me to proceed
With careful strokes of genius
Feedin my family
Fiendish for the feeling of a Franklin
Fearful of no man
But self in self is no man
I'm an anomaly known as spirit
And when I'm in need
I express fresh, thresh the field
Assess my yield
From what I did apply my will
Still I pray
For each and every bill I pay
With diligent intent to get skrilla
All the illegitimate need
Is to feel a little bit of success
Acquisition get em out that
Position of stress on ya mind
Got money on mine, wheelin and dealin
The new design for your appeal and delight
Dynamite for good times
And granite for negativity
The planet is mine
We on the grind
[Chorus:]
Constant elevation
Swimmin in my amenities
Livin with ease
(Dollar bill yall)
The only color is green
Know what I mean?
From dusk till dawn
It's still on
My exponential growth expands
Extra potential both
Detrimental and essential don't
Brand it candid let your kinfolks
Conceptualize the uprising
Metropolitic enterprising
Look into my eyes and realize
The size capitalize ya lives
And don't recognize the plots
They would devise to stop
The money mission cuz my intuition
Guides me not from the payin
I'm obeyin my call
Parlayin my skill, playin my ball
Relayin the all is in yall
Fizzin and bubblin through ya conscience
Ambition ya mission accomplished
Dividends invested
We livin in an adolescent time of mankind
At a lessened standards of life
That I must attain
Reparations so I step with patience
Much to gain, plus
Bust the same passionate prose
And mash for the cash in it
With imaginative magical masterpieces
Listenin in position to blitz and bomb
The bitch in you individuals
Don't let it get you in a critical situation
With your ass out ancient
Stay original and get ya dough
Inclined to find yourself
A little bit richer, livin divine
We on the grind
[Chorus x2]
My empty hands tempt me
To implement these plans
Blueprints and templates for power movements
Poetical concrete, gems in my hymns
Form jewels in my DNA, strands in my stanzas
Transfer to me in a question and answer
Combined in blindin speed, further advancement
Infinite amount of choices, limited chances
Don't be timid intimidated and disenchanted
Step in the arena chumps, raise ya lances
Prepare to joust but first put on ya dancin
Shoes to hit the canvas
Stand up and fight, we get ya hyped
Cuz hip hop is propaganda
Tools that I brandish
Can dish panic and manic depressiveness
Get ya lost like Atlantis
We forge ahead for the advantage
Of federal notes, rockin ya boats
Leavin ya beats in bandages
Your feet are not treading on the ground
And you’re walking on the void
You’re not really on a steady place
The stability is a fake.
Now, you, take your mother cold hands,
Kiss your girl, embrace your friends
And now look look look at your down,
Someone has pulled up your ground!
And now… now you’re falling down,
And now… your truths become doubts
And you… still wondering why?
There’s no ground, no bounds, nothing to grip
Your spill is absolutely deep
