James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music; and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music".
Born in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix began playing guitar at the age of 15. In 1961, he enlisted in the US Army and trained as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division; he was granted an honorable discharge the following year. Soon afterward, he moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, and began playing gigs on the chitlin' circuit, earning a place in the Isley Brothers' backing band and later with Little Richard, with whom he continued to work through mid-1965. He then played with Curtis Knight and the Squires before moving to England in late 1966 after being discovered by Linda Keith, who in turn interested bassist Chas Chandler of the Animals in becoming his first manager. Within months, Hendrix had earned three UK top ten hits with the Jimi Hendrix Experience: "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze" and "The Wind Cries Mary". He achieved fame in the US after his performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967, and in 1968 his third and final studio album, Electric Ladyland, reached number one in the US; it was Hendrix's most commercially successful release and his first and only number one album. The world's highest-paid performer, he headlined the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 before his accidental death from barbiturate-related asphyxia on September 18, 1970, at the age of 27.
Jimi Hendrix is a 1973 rockumentary about Jimi Hendrix, directed and produced by Joe Boyd, John Head and Gary Weis. The film contains concert footage from 1967 to 1970, including the Monterey Pop Festival the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, Woodstock and a Berkeley concert. The film also includes interviews with Hendrix' contemporaries, family and friends. People appearing in the film include Paul Caruso, Eric Clapton, Billy Cox, Alan Douglas, Germaine Greer, Hendrix' father, James A. "Al" Hendrix, Mick Jagger, Eddie Kramer, Buddy Miles, Mitch Mitchell, Juggy Murray, Little Richard, Lou Reed and Pete Townshend.
The film is also known as A Film About Jimi Hendrix. The title was used on the 2005 DVD-cover and theatrical poster.
The soundtrack to the film features 12 songs as well as excerpts from interviews with Hendrix, his father Al Hendrix, Little Richard and others.
The estate of Jimi Hendrix authorized the 1973 film to be re-released on video and DVD in 1999. An expanded DVD edition was issued in 2005, featuring a new documentary, From the Ukulele to the Strat, with more remembrances of Hendrix through interviews with family and friends, the making of "Dolly Dagger", with producer-engineer Eddie Kramer breaking down the studio mix of the song and unreleased archive footage of a performance of "Stone Free" from the July 4, 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival.
Soundtrack Recordings from the Film Jimi Hendrix is the soundtrack to the 1973 documentary film, Jimi Hendrix and the second live album by him. The double album was released by Reprise Records in July 1973. It contains the full-length live performances from the film and some clips from interviews (though not necessarily from the film). The album peaked at No. 89 on the Billboard album chart, which generated concern at Reprise Records that repackaging old material would no longer satisfy the fans of Jimi Hendrix. The album has not been released on compact disc.
The documentary (or rockumentary) was made in 1973 by Joe Boyd, John Head and Gary Weis for Warner Bros. The film contains concert footage from 1967 to 1970, including material from Isle of Wight and the Monterey Pop Festival. The film also includes interviews with Hendrix' contemporaries, family and friends. The estate of Jimi Hendrix authorized the 1973 film to be re-released on video and DVD in 1999, and a special edition DVD was released 2005.

"Come On" was covered by British singer-songwriter and actor Will Young. It was released on 21 November 2011 as the second single from his fifth studio album, Echoes (2011).
A music video to accompany the release of "Come On" was first released onto YouTube on 24 October 2011 at a total length of three minutes and twenty-eight seconds.
Robert Copsey of Digital Spy gave the song four stars out of five and a positive review, stating:
Therefore, it comes as little surprise that his latest chart botherer - a rendition of Kish Mauve's 2009 electro-rock hit 'Come On' - is far more than a note-for-note rehash. "Walk away, that's what you do," he bawls innocently over bobbing synths courtesy of Richard X, before defiantly calling "come on, come on" to his contrary lover. In fact, even after repeated listens, Young's lounge-pop reinvention still sounds like a different number altogether.
"Come On" is a song by the South Korean rock band CN Blue, written by Jung Yong-hwa, translated in Japanese by Kenji Tamai and composed by Lee Jong-hyun. It was released on August 1, 2012 in 3 different editions: CD+DVD, Regular edition and Lawson store limited edition. It is the third major single of the group under Warner Music Japan and their sixth overall.
The single was announced by their Korean label, FNC Media, on June 12, 2012, revealing details about the single. In June 25, it was revealed that the song will be used as opening theme song of TV Asahi's "Music ru TV" during July. In July 2, all single covers, tracklist and a teaser of the music video were released. At this same day, the first major album of the group in Japan was announced to be release on August 29. The Album will include the songs from the single and the songs from previous 2 singles "Where You Are" and "In My Head".
Every edition of the single will come with a different jacket cover and different features: the CD+DVD edition will include the CD single, a special DVD featuring the music video of "Come On" and a Special feature, a 44-pages photobook, four folded mini-posters, a serial code to unlock a special bonus feature and comes in a sleeve case. The regular edition will come with the CD single and a serial code. The Lawson limited ediiton will include with the CD single, 5 calendar cards and a serial code. This version will only be sold on Lawson.
"S&M" is a song by Barbadian singer Rihanna from her fifth studio album, Loud (2010). The song was released on January 21, 2011, as the fourth single from the album. The American songwriter Ester Dean wrote "S&M" in collaboration with the producers Stargate and Sandy Vee. Backed by bass beats, a keyboard and guitars, it is an uptempo hi-NRG-Eurodance track with lyrics that revolve around sexual intercourse, sadomasochism, bondage, and fetishes.
Critical response to "S&M" was mixed: some critics praised its sound and composition while others criticized its overtly sexual lyrics. After it reached number two on the United States' Billboard Hot 100 chart, a remix that features Britney Spears was released. When combined with sales of the solo version, it became Rihanna's tenth and Spears' fifth number-one single on the chart. It has been certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "S&M" peaked at number one in Australia, Canada, Hungary, Israel, and Poland in addition to the United States while peaking within the top five in France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, and the UK.
Jimi Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer-songwriter who recorded from 1962 until his death in 1970. His discography sets forth the recordings released during this period. Prior to his rise to fame, he recorded 24 singles as a backing guitarist with American R&B artists, such as the Isley Brothers and Little Richard. Beginning in late 1966, he recorded three best-selling studio albums and 13 singles with the Jimi Hendrix Experience. An Experience compilation album and half of a live album recorded at the Monterey Pop Festival were also issued prior to his death. After the breakup of the Experience in mid-1969, songs from his live performances were included on the Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More and Band of Gypsys albums. A studio single with the Band of Gypsys was also released.
Hendrix's albums and singles with the Experience were originally released by Track Records in the United Kingdom and Reprise Records in the United States. Track also issued the Band of Gypsys' album, but to settle an American contract dispute, it was released by Capitol Records in the US. The Woodstock soundtrack album was issued by Atlantic Records and its subsidiary Cotillion Records in US. Over the years, the Hendrix catalogue has been handled by different record companies, including Track's successor, Polydor Records in Europe and the UK, and MCA Records. In 2010, Sony's Legacy Recordings became the exclusive distributor for the recordings managed by Experience Hendrix, L.L.C., a family company. His original albums have been reissued, sometimes with new album art, mixes, and bonus material.

I'd been searching for this because I wanted to see a video of Jimi Hendrix playing the acoustic guitar. After a lot of digging, I found only 2 known videos of Jimi playing them online. Apologies for the stopping image in the first half that features 'Hear My Train Comin' & the poor quality of the second half of the video that features 'Hound Dog' that was all I could find. This one's an essential rarity. Support #BOMBEATS on patreon https://www.patreon.com/bombeatsmusic Subscribe on YouTube for more rare music. If you ever need me
I will never let you down
When the hurt is leaving
I will bring my love around
Come on
If you could only believe me
Come on
It's not that hard it's so easy
Come on
We'll make it up as we're going along
If you think you understand
Then come on
Well if you think you understand
If you think you understand then come on let's get together (3x)
Come On
If your heart is beating
It don't mean that you're alive
If you don't try
Then I'll see you on the other side
Come on
If you could only believe me
Come on
It's not that hard it's so easy
Come on
We'll make it up as we're going along
If you think you understand
Then come on
Well if you think you understand
If you think you understand then come on let's get together (3x)
