According Rudolph Steiner's report about the "TURANISCHE ADEPTEN" e1b1b1c1 & e1b1b1c1d1 were the completer or creators of the real turkic culture. ----------------------------------------------------- This project attempts to find descendants of the people named after Kazarig as Kutrigur/Khazarigs by 539/540AD. The Kazarig Clan is represented by Y-DNA Haplogroup E-M34 originating in the present day Azeri area. This itself is a branch of the "Proto-Turkic-Levantes" Y-DNA Haplogroup E-M123 which itself stems from the E-Z830 branch of E1b. The Y-DNA E-M34 "Khazar" Haplogroup originated among these Proto-Turks exiled to present day Azerbaijan in the 720sBC - 580sBC. One thousand years later many were pushed north out of Caspia into Eastern Europe by the Y-DNA J Caucasian Avars who had arrived in the 550s from Abarshahr in Khurasan. Descendants of the Kazarigs, Oghuz or Ghuz-ar Khazars include many people of East Slavonic ancestry, Jews descended from Khazar converts to Judaism, Some Hungarians, Bulgarians, Romanians, Gagauz people, Muslims descended from the Seljuks, and other Turkic people. -------------------------------------- Historical background According to Bar Hebraeus and the Chronicle of Michael the Syrian, the Khazarig came into existence when three Scythian princes (the sons of Ernak the Hun) from the Imaon Mountains (probably Y-DNA Haplogroup N/O/PQR) brought their Sabir armies from the Ural Mountains and subjugated the Ugor people of the Caucasian region between the Black sea and Caspian sea in the 460's AD. Attacks from the Becenegs/Benjmeneks/Wusun/Ashinas had caused the Uar to attack the Sabirians who in turn attacked On-Ugors in the Volga-Don region who petitioned to Byzantium. One of the sons became the ruler of the Utigurs of Crimea named Bulgarians after him. Another one of them became the prince of the exiled Levantes on the eastern slopes of the Caucasus along the shore of the Caspian sea south of Derbend in the country called Caspia (Azerbaijan). -------------------------------------------------- The Ashinas Prince Kazarig assisted the Magyar Batbayan in defeating and exiling Asparukh and Kuber, exiling them from Ongal. Batbayan received the Western portions of the Empire called Hungary (but also Moldava/Vltava/Poltova a corrupted form of the title Elteber) while Kotrag received the Eatern portions often called Khazaria. At this point the Utigur Bulgars of Dacia under Asparukh turned their attention southwards to Thrace (modern day Bulgaria). However, Batbayan's kingdom was short lived. The Avars soon revolted and he migrated to the East seekign refuge with his Khazarig allies and the native leader of the Kutrigur/Khazarigs, and built up his kingdom of Khazaria along the Volga out of Magna Hungaria, the eastern remnant of the On-oq Western Turkic Gahanate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kubrat's empire as far as the area of modern day Turkmenistan were known as the Tuhrul Khavari or "companions". They are even mentioned in the Qoran. The Khavari eventually introduced the Qoran among the Kutrigurs/Khazarigs in the mid 7th Century AD (Curzon 1999, p.229) who became known as Qora-Khazars as a result. Prince Kazarig's Khazars maintained trade with Baghdad where in the 8th Century AD Imam Numan ibn Thabit taught Anan ben David . The kingdom also welcomed Khorezmian refugees from the from the Abbasid invasion of Khorezm under whose influence Bulan was converted. Thus the E-M34 Khazarig polity of Qora-Khazars came to be ruled by Y-DNA Q Aq-Khazars (see also http://www.britam.org/KhazarIndex.html for resources on this history). E1b1b1c1*-D1 and E1b1b1c1a*-B may have originated in the 9th Century AD with two such Qora-Khazars of Tuhrul who migrated into central Europe with the Magyars from the region of modern day Azerbaijan. The Alsószentmihály inscription was certainly carved in reference to a descendant of such Qora-Khazars out of whom the Seljuks also arose. As Islam spread among the Oghuz in the South, and the Magyars adopted Roman Catholicism, the faithful Karaylar gravitated towards the influence of the Kipchak-speakers of North Central Eurasia in whom they sought refuge and from whom Gahan Tuhrul was born to rule in Karakorum.
