Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi (born 3 September 1976) is an Indian actor. He made his film debut with Ram Gopal Varma's film Company (2002). His performance in the film earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Male Debut and Best Supporting Actor. He later featured in several notable films which include Saathiya, Masti, Yuva, Omkara, Rakht Charitra and Grand Masti. For the first time in his career he performed as the antagonist in the film Krrish 3.

Early life

Oberoi was born in Hyderabad, Telangana to Punjabi father Suresh Oberoi, a veteran Bollywood character actor and a Tamil mother Yashodhara Oberoi, sister of Rajkumar Mandradiar, native of Coimbatore belonging to the Mandradiar and Palayakottai Pattakarar family of Kangeyam, erstwile Polygar rulers of that region. In fact Suresh Oberoi was not an actor at the time of his marriage, but running a chain of Medical stores which was his family business. He would later join Film and Television Institute of India. Vivek did his schooling from Hyderabad Public School and later went on to study at Mayo College, Ajmer. Thereafter, he attended Mithibai College, Juhu. At an actors' workshop in London he was spotted by the director of New York University who took Vivek to New York, where he completed his master's degree in film acting. Vivek also worked as a script writer in India.

Practice

In a news conference, one or more speakers may make a statement, which may be followed by questions from reporters. Sometimes only questioning occurs; sometimes there is a statement with no questions permitted.

A media event at which no statements are made, and no questions allowed, is called a photo op. A government may wish to open their proceedings for the media to witness events, such as the passing of a piece of legislation from the government in parliament to the senate, via a media availability.

Television stations and networks especially value news conferences: because today's TV news programs air for hours at a time, or even continuously, assignment editors have a steady appetite for ever-larger quantities of footage.

News conferences are often held by politicians (such as the President of the United States); by sports teams; by celebrities or film studios; by commercial organizations to promote products; by attorneys to promote lawsuits; and by almost anyone who finds benefit in the free publicity afforded by media coverage. Some people, including many police chiefs, hold news conferences reluctantly in order to avoid dealing with reporters individually.

Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan (born 27 December 1965) better known as Salman Khan (pronunciation : [səlˈmaːn ˈxaːn];) is an Indian film actor, producer and television personality. Nine of the films he has acted in, have accumulated gross earnings of over ₹1 billion (US$15 million), also khan become only actor to give three back to back movies which collect more than ₹200 crore (US$29 million) nett domestically. and he has starred in the highest-grossing Bollywood films of nine separate years which is a Bollywood record. For his contributions to film, the Government of India honoured him with the 2008 – Rajiv Gandhi Award for Outstanding Achievement in Entertainment.

Oberoi

Oberoi (also spelled as Uberoi, Oberai and Obhrai) is a Khatri clan.

History

Oberoi is a highly prominent Khatri surname found in India's Punjab and Haryana state. They are a north Indian community that originated in the Pothohar Plateau of Punjab. This region is historically connected with the composition of the Vedas and classics like the Mahabharata and Ashtadhyayi. Most Oberois live in Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur districts of Punjab.
