This is West 25th Street in Anderson, IN.
Next to this crossing is a large field that once held a big piece of this city's automotive industry. This once very busy area, much like several places in town is now vacant. Signs of the old factory remain with the spur crossing signal nearby. The signal was assembled using traffic signal parts.
Up until the late 2000's this crossing was poorly protected with just two mast flashers and no bells or gates. There was also a blind spot as the factory was right up next to the tracks.

This time we move to a railway I've never filmed before, the Midland Mainline, to see an interesting mix of East Midlands Trains expresses powered by screaming Class 43 HST sets and Class 222 Meridian units, together with commuter and semi-fast workings operated by the new franchise holder Thameslink & Great Northern, utilising its fleet of Class 319's and Class 377's inherited from Southern and First Capital Connect, together with the brand new Class 387's, delivered earlier this year. Also included is a freight interloper, in the form of DB Schenker Class 66, 66096, working empty stone hoppers from Hither Green to Churchyard Sidings on the approaches to London St Pancras.
The original West Hampstead station opened in 1871 by the Midland Railway on its extension to St. Pancras, to serve the newly developed area around the hamlet of West End, originally going by the name of West End for Kilburn and Hampstead.
For a short period from 1878 the station formed part of the Super Outer Circle, Midland trains running through from St Pancras to Earl's Court via Acton Central and Turnham Green. It was renamed several times: to West End on 1st July, 1903; to West End and Brondesbury on 1st April, 1904; to West Hampstead on 1st September, 1905; West Hampstead Midland on 25th September, 1950; and finally West Hampstead Thameslink on 16th May, 1988, following the start of Thameslink services between Bedford and Brighton. Today the station is served extensively by commuter trains operated by Thameslink & Great Northern, with a mixture of both stopping trains and half-hourly semi-fast workings. An hourly service from Sevenoaks also terminates/originates from the station, this being operated by Class 319's.

Welcome to Meridian Street in Ingalls, Indiana. Ingalls is a small but fast-growing town about 10 minutes northeast of Indianapolis. In [CSX] railroad terms, this crossing is just "west" of the switch, where trains can get from track one to track two, or vice-versa and from either direction. Typical speed when switching is 45 M.P.H., while high-ballers frequently hit 60 M.P.H. I didn't make it to this crossing in time to catch the older relay case running the crossing signals. They not only replaced the cabinets for the two crossings here but they updated the block signals as they have been doing all along [CSX] lines. Railroad Crossing: West 25th Street, Anderson, IN. CSX Main Track 2
This is West 25th Street in Anderson, IN. Next to this crossing is a large field that once held a big piece of this city's automotive industry. This once very busy area, much like several places in town is now vacant. Signs of the old factory remain with the spur crossing signal nearby. The signal was assembled using traffic signal parts. Up until the late 2000's this crossing was poorly protected with just two mast flashers and no bells or gates. There was also a blind spot as the factory was right up next to the tracks. This time we move to a railway I've never filmed before, the Midland Mainline, to see an interesting mix of East Midlands Trains expresses powered by screaming Class 43 HST sets and Class 222 Meridian units, together with commuter and semi-fast workings operated by the new franchise holder Thameslink & Great Northern, utilising its fleet of Class 319's and Class 377's inherited from Southern and First Capital Connect, together with the brand new Class 387's, delivered earlier this year. Also included is a freight interloper, in the form of DB Schenker Class 66, 66096, working empty stone hoppers from Hither Green to Churchyard Sidings on the approaches to London St Pancras. Railroad Crossing: Meridian Street in Ingalls, IN., [CSX] Main Tracks 1&2
Welcome to Meridian Street in Ingalls, Indiana. Ingalls is a small but fast-growing town about 10 minutes northeast of Indianapolis. In [CSX] railroad terms, this crossing is just "west" of the switch, where trains can get from track one to track two, or vice-versa and from either direction. Typical speed when switching is 45 M.P.H., while high-ballers frequently hit 60 M.P.H. I didn't make it to this crossing in time to catch the older relay case running the crossing signals. They not only replaced the cabinets for the two crossings here but they updated the block signals as they have been doing all along [CSX] lines. This time we move to a railway I've never filmed before, the Midland Mainline, to see an interesting mix of East Midlands Trains expresses powered by screaming Class 43 HST sets and Class 222 Meridian units, together with commuter and semi-fast workings operated by the new franchise holder Thameslink & Great Northern, utilising its fleet of Class 319's and Class 377's inherited from Southern and First Capital Connect, together with the brand new Class 387's, delivered earlier this year. Also included is a freight interloper, in the form of DB Schenker Class 66, 66096, working empty stone hoppers from Hither Green to Churchyard Sidings on the approaches to London St Pancras.
The original West Hampstead station opened in 1871 by the Midland Railway on its extension to St. Pancras, to serve the newly developed area around the hamlet of West End, originally going by the name of West End for Kilburn and Hampstead.
For a short period from 1878 the station formed part of the Super Outer Circle, Midland trains running through from St Pancras to Earl's Court via Acton Central and Turnham Green. It was renamed several times: to West End on 1st July, 1903; to West End and Brondesbury on 1st April, 1904; to West Hampstead on 1st September, 1905; West Hampstead Midland on 25th September, 1950; and finally West Hampstead Thameslink on 16th May, 1988, following the start of Thameslink services between Bedford and Brighton. Today the station is served extensively by commuter trains operated by Thameslink & Great Northern, with a mixture of both stopping trains and half-hourly semi-fast workings. An hourly service from Sevenoaks also terminates/originates from the station, this being operated by Class 319's.

Ingalls is a small but fast-growing town about 10 minutes northeast of Indianapolis.
In [CSX] railroad terms, this crossing is just "west" of the switch, where trains can get from track one to track two, or vice-versa and from either direction.
Typical speed when switching is 45 M.P.H., while high-ballers frequently hit 60 M.P.H.
I didn't make it to this crossing in time to catch the older relay case running the crossing signals. They not only replaced the cabinets for the two crossings here but they updated the block signals as they have been doing all along [CSX] lines.
