In everyday speech, a phrase may be any group of words, often carrying a special idiomatic meaning; in this sense it is roughly synonymous with expression. In linguistic analysis, a phrase is a group of words (or possibly a single word) that functions as a constituent in the syntax of a sentence—a single unit within a grammatical hierarchy. A phrase appears within a clause, although it is also possible for a phrase to be a clause or to contain a clause within it.
There is a difference between the common use of the term phrase and its technical use in linguistics. In common usage, a phrase is usually a group of words with some special idiomatic meaning or other significance, such as "all rights reserved", "economical with the truth", "kick the bucket", and the like. It may be a euphemism, a saying or proverb, a fixed expression, a figure of speech, etc.
In grammatical analysis, particularly in theories of syntax, a phrase is any group of words, or sometimes a single word, which plays a particular role within the grammatical structure of a sentence. It does not have to have any special meaning or significance, or even exist anywhere outside of the sentence being analyzed, but it must function there as a complete grammatical unit. For example, in the sentence Yesterday I saw an orange bird with a white neck, the words an orange bird with a white neck form what is called a noun phrase, or a determiner phrase in some theories, which functions as the object of the sentence.
Discovery Channel (formerly The Discovery Channel from 1985 to 1995, and often referred to as simply "Discovery") is an American basic cable and satellite television channel (which is also delivered via IPTV, terrestrial television and internet television in other parts of the world) that is the flagship television property of Discovery Communications, a publicly traded company run by CEO David Zaslav. As of June 2012, Discovery Channel is the third most widely distributed cable channel in the United States, behind TBS and The Weather Channel; it is available in 409 million households worldwide, through its U.S. flagship channel and its various owned or licensed television channels internationally.
It initially provided documentary television programming focused primarily on popular science, technology, and history, but in recent years has expanded into reality television and pseudo-scientific entertainment. Programming on the flagship Discovery Channel in the U.S. is primarily focused on reality television series, such as speculative investigation (with shows such as MythBusters, Unsolved History, and Best Evidence), automobiles, and occupations (such as Dirty Jobs and Deadliest Catch); it also features documentaries specifically aimed at families and younger audiences.

Umbilicoliths ( "navel stones," "umboliths," or "omphaloliths") are accumulations of keratinous material (dead skin) sebum (skin oil) and dirt in the umbilicus (belly button). Umbolith removal is performed by simply applying traction to the stone to remove it from its attachment to the skin. They are rarely a cause for medical concern. Mostly, they just inspire people to clean their umbilicus regularly. BOSTON / NEW YORK CITY — It’s taken nearly two decades, but scientists may finally have the recipe to create stem cells — that wellspring of life and holy grail of regenerative medicine. Two research teams have managed to create blood stem cells in the lab, while each using different techniques. Both papers detailing these efforts were published in the journal Nature. The first team from Boston programmed human pluripotent stem cells to become endothelial cells, which typically line the inside of blood vessels. These were injected with special proteins called transcription factors, then transplanted into mice. Weeks later, the cells had multiplied, and in some cases formed a wide range of human blood cells in the mice’s bodies. The second team used blood cells from mice and injected th...

facts round to false
statements state what you meant
the meaning gets lost under management
i've grown disinterested in numbers
the passing cars
of four-wheeled hearts
just exhaust and cancer
heard a whisper for a wishing
in a gas station i was thinking
about fuel force feeding
what was left wasn't much
unrelative and all out of touch
passion pushed off and never
never again bleeding red and real
now tell me how you fell
tell me how you feel
tell me how how
how do you feel now
imitating machines
before long with mechanical dreams
i'm not what you meant
you're not what i mean
