Super Bowl XLI was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Indianapolis Colts and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Chicago Bears to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2006 season. The Colts defeated the Bears by the score of 29–17. The game was played on February 4, 2007, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
This game featured two teams ending long Super Bowl appearance droughts. The Colts, who finished with a 12–4 regular season record, were making their first Super Bowl appearance since winning Super Bowl V in the 1970 season during the team's tenure in Baltimore; they had moved to Indianapolis in 1984. Meanwhile, the Bears, who posted an NFC-best 13–3 regular season record, were making their first appearance since winning Super Bowl XX in the 1985 season. In addition, the Bears' Lovie Smith and the Colts' Tony Dungy both became the first African-American head coaches to coach in the Super Bowl.
In the first Super Bowl played in rainy conditions, the Colts overcame a 14–6 first-quarter deficit to outscore the Bears 23–3 in the last three-quarters. Chicago posted the then-earliest lead in Super Bowl history when returner Devin Hester ran back the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown, but the record was broken by the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII when a safety 12 seconds into the game gave the Seahawks a 2–0 lead. The Colts forced 5 turnovers, including cornerback Kelvin Hayden's 56-yard interception return for a touchdown. Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri also made three field goals. Colts' quarterback Peyton Manning was named the game's Most Valuable Player, completing 25 of 38 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, with one interception for a passer rating of 81.8.

Host Ed Sutkowski talks with Mike Ditka, Hall of Fame / NFL All-Pro Tight-End, 1985 Super Bowl; Coach Chicago Bears.
Michael K. (Dyczko) Ditka, Jr., 1 of 3 siblings, of Charlotte and Mike, Sr., was raised in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, the heart of the steel mills. Mike's father, the original "Iron Mike", a United States Marine, union organizer and welder, understood the downside of remaining in the steel mills. Mike, while characterized as having "chicken legs" by Carl Aschman, Mike's high school football coach, ultimately captained the football, baseball and basketball teams and was elected Class President. Mike was recruited by dozens of major football powers, including Notre Dame, Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh. Given Pitt's dental program, Mike chose Pitt then changed to history and captained Pitt's football team as a defensive end, linebacker, receiver and punter. He achieved All American status and was 6th in the 1961 Heisman Trophy race.
Mike was drafted in the first round by George Halas of the Chicago Bears; his first year compensation was $12,000, plus a $6,000 bonus. He was voted as the 1961 Rookie of the Year; during his 12-year NFL playing career with the Chicago Bears, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, he recorded 427 receptions, including a touchdown in Super Bowl VI. Mike was enshrined as the first tight-end in the National Football League Hall of Fame in 1988. Mike began his NFL coaching career as the receiver's coach under Tom Landry of the Dallas Cowboys, became the Chicago Bear's head coach in 1982 and ended his coaching career with the New Orleans Saints in 2000.
The 1985 Chicago Bears was ranked as one of the best if not the best football team ever; it devastated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX. During the interview, Mike described his relationship with and ranked Jim McMahon, Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, Walter Payton, Mike Singletary and Richard Dent. Mike's post-football career includes numerous business ventures, media appearances, broadcasting stints, charitable activities and motivational speeches. He now resides in Chicago and Florida.

Richard Jon Camarillo (born on November 29, 1959 in Whittier, California) is a former professional American Football punter who played 16 seasons in the NFL for the New England Patriots (1981–1987), Los Angeles Rams (1988), Phoenix Cardinals (1989–1993), Houston Oilers (1994–1995), and Oakland Raiders (1996). Before his NFL career, he earned All-America honors at Cerritos Junior College. He then transferred to the University of Washington,(79-80). Where he was selected as a member of the Huskies All-Century team. A consistently solid, dependable punter during his 16 NFL seasons, Camarillo led the league in punting yards twice (1985, 1994), net yard average three times,(1983, 1991 & 1992), gross yards per punt once (1989). He also led the league in 1994 with 35 balls inside the 20. With the Patriots, Camarillo made a championship appearance in Super Bowl XX, and ended up getting to punt quite often as his team was blown out 46-10 by the Chicago Bears. Camarillo punted 6 times for 263 yards (43.8 avg), with 225 net yards (37.5 avg), 1 touchback, and 1 punt in the 20, including a then Super Bowl record 62-yard punt that planted the Bears back at their own 4-yard line. However, Chicago still managed to drive a Super Bowl record 96 yards and score a touchdown anyway.
Camarillo finished his career with 1,027 punts for 43,895 yards (42.7 avg) and 279 punts inside the 20. Upon his retirement, that mark stood as the most in NFL history. Camarillo also had a career net average of 36.0 yards per punt. He was named to the NFL's all rookie team in 1981. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1983, 1989, 1991, 1992 & 1993 seasons. His 5 pro bowl appearances as a punter, are second only to Ray Guy who holds the record with 7. Camarillo had a punt returned for a touchdown in his first NFL game October 25, 1981. Fourteen seasons and 876 punts later on October 30, 1994, would be the next time one of his punts was returned for a score. He also owns the NFL's record for highest net avg. in a season with a mark of 39.6 yards. Camarillo's 44.5 yards per punt still stands as the highest punting average in NFL playoff history. He was also selected seven times (first or second team) All-Pro, in his career. He was also named to the team of the 90's by CNNSI. Camarillo, is a nominee for induction into the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame, class of 2009.
Camarillo coached the Ahwatukee Little League All-stars from Phoenix, Arizona in the 2006 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. His son Eric was a member of that team.
On 14 September 2009, he was selected to the 50 Greatest New England Patriots Team.

Super Bowl XVII was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Miami Dolphins and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Washington Redskins to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1982 season. The Redskins defeated the Dolphins by the score of 27–17 to win their first Super Bowl. The game was played on January 30, 1983 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
This Super Bowl came at the end of a season that was significantly shortened by a players' strike. Teams ended up only playing nine regular season games, and the league conducted a special 16-team, four-round playoff tournament where divisions were ignored in the seeding. The Redskins had an NFC-best 8–1 regular season record, while the Dolphins finished at 7–2. Both teams advanced through the first three postseason rounds to Super Bowl XVII. The game then became a rematch of Super Bowl VII, also played in the Los Angeles area at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum ten years before, where the Dolphins completed their 17–0 perfect season at the Redskins' expense by a score of 14–7. This was also the second Super Bowl to rematch teams, the first being Super Bowl XIII.
The Redskins scored 17 unanswered points in the second half and gained a Super Bowl record 276 yards on the ground, while holding the Dolphins to just 47 offensive plays for 176 total yards, 76 of which came on a single play. Nevertheless, Miami built a 17–10 halftime lead with Jimmy Cefalo's 76-yard touchdown catch and Fulton Walker's 98-yard kickoff return. The turning point in the game came with 10:10 remaining: facing fourth down and 1-yard to go at the Dolphins' 43-yard line, and trailing 17–13, Washington running back John Riggins broke through the Miami defense and ran into the end zone for a touchdown to take the lead. Wide receiver Charlie Brown then added an insurance touchdown with his 6-yard scoring reception.
Riggins was named Super Bowl MVP, finishing the game with 2 Super Bowl records: the most rushing yards in a Super Bowl game (166), and the most rushing attempts (38). His performance was also his fourth 100-yard rushing game in a row in a postseason game, a postseason record. Riggins also recorded a reception for 15 yards, giving him more total yards than the entire Miami team

Super Bowl IX was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Minnesota Vikings to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1974 season. The Steelers defeated the Vikings by the score of 16–6 to win their first Super Bowl. The game was played on January 12, 1975 at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana, the last pro game at that venue (the game was originally planned to be held at the Louisiana Superdome, but that stadium was not completed yet).
This game matched two of the NFL's best defenses and two future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Led by quarterback Terry Bradshaw and the Steel Curtain defense, the Steelers advanced to their first Super Bowl after posting a 10–3–1 regular season record and playoff victories over the Buffalo Bills and the Oakland Raiders. The Vikings were led by quarterback Fran Tarkenton and the Purple People Eaters defense; they advanced to their second consecutive Super Bowl and third overall after finishing the regular season with a 10–4 record and defeating the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs.
The first half of Super Bowl IX was a defensive struggle, with the lone score being the first safety in Super Bowl history when Tarkenton was downed in his own end zone. The Steelers then recovered a fumble on the second half kickoff, and scored on fullback Franco Harris's 9-yard run. The Vikings cut the score, 9–6, early in the fourth quarter by recovering a blocked punt in Pittsburgh's end zone for a touchdown, but the Steelers then drove 66 yards on their ensuing possession to score on Larry Brown's 4-yard touchdown reception to pull the game out of reach.
In total, the Steelers limited the Vikings to Super Bowl record lows of nine first downs, 119 total offensive yards, 17 rushing yards, and no offensive scores (Minnesota's only score came on a blocked punt, and they did not even score on the extra point attempt). The Steelers accomplished this despite losing starting linebackers Andy Russell and Jack Lambert, who were injured and replaced by Ed Bradley and Loren Toews for most of the second half. On the other hand, Pittsburgh had 333 yards of total offense. Harris, who ran for a Super Bowl record 158 yards (more than the entire Minnesota offense) and a touchdown, was named the Super Bowl's Most Valuable Player.

Super Bowl VII was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Miami Dolphins and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Washington Redskins to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 1972 season. The Dolphins defeated the Redskins by the score of 14–7, and became the first and still the only team in NFL history to complete a perfect undefeated season. The game was played on January 14, 1973, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California, the second time the Super Bowl was played in that city.
This was the Dolphins' second Super Bowl appearance after losing Super Bowl VI. They posted an undefeated 14–0 regular season record before defeating the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs. The Redskins were making their first Super Bowl appearance after posting an 11–3 regular season record and playoff victories over the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. Despite being undefeated, the Dolphins were actually 1 point underdogs, largely based on the weakness of their regular season schedule.
Super Bowl VII was largely dominated by the Dolphins, and remains the lowest-scoring Super Bowl to date with a total of only 21 points (3 touchdown and 3 extra points). The only drama was during the final minutes of the game, in what was later known as "Garo's Gaffe". Miami attempted to cap off their 17–0 perfect season with a 17–0 perfect score shutout with a 41-yard field goal by Garo Yepremian, but instead the game and the season was jeopardized when his kick was blocked. Instead of falling on the loose ball, the Dolphins kicker picked it up, attempted a forward pass, but batted it in the air, and Redskins' cornerback Mike Bass caught it and returned it 49 yards for a touchdown. This game also remains as the longest period in a Super Bowl for one team to be shut out, as Washington was held scoreless until 2:07 remained in the fourth quarter.
Dolphins safety Jake Scott was named Most Valuable Player. He recorded two interceptions for 63 return yards, including a 55-yard return from the end zone during the 4th quarter. Scott became the second defensive player in Super Bowl history (after linebacker Chuck Howley in Super Bowl V) to earn a Super Bowl MVP.
