Clarksville is a city in and the county seat of Montgomery County, Tennessee, and the fifth largest city in the state. The population was 132,929 in the 2010 United States Census. Clarksville is the ninth fastest growing city in the nation and the principal central city of the Clarksville, TN-KY metropolitan statistical area, which consists of Montgomery County, Stewart County, Tennessee, Christian County, Kentucky, Trigg County, Kentucky and is the tenth fastest growing Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the nation.[citation needed]
The city was incorporated in 1785, making it Tennessee's first incorporated city, and named for General George Rogers Clark, frontier fighter and Revolutionary War hero, brother of William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Clarksville is one of the South's most historic cities and the home of Austin Peay State University; The Leaf-Chronicle, the oldest newspaper in Tennessee; and neighbor to the Fort Campbell, United States Army base. Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), and is located approximately ten miles (16 km) from downtown Clarksville, straddling the Tennessee-Kentucky state line. It is officially Fort Campbell, Kentucky due to the fact the base U.S. Post Office is on the Kentucky side of the base; the majority of Fort Campbell is within the state of Tennessee.
Out here, I'm so far gone
I'm the man on the moon
Fingernails and hair getting longer
My body's in tune
He says
"hey hey it's all your fault
that you can't trust me"
She flies across the skies at night
She lights up the tree
She says
"Brush away my tears
And hold me like you did
And tell me nothing changes
Tell me nothing changes"
This feeling is creeping me, bad man
I can't shake it
She comes slipping into my room and
I'm making up sin
Hey Hey, I'm no small talk
She said
And it's all your fault
You've got two cold feet and a dashboard Jesus
And you can make that call
You can brush away my tears
And hold me like you did
And tell me nothing changes
Tell me nothing changes
Hey, Goddammit
I'm on my knees, I'm on your side
I'm the Bree
I'm the Judith
I'm my own disease
and I despise you for it
You don't bleed and you don't need me
I know you, I've seen you
I need you here right now to tell me
Tell me
Tell me
Tell me
Tell me
Tell me nothing changes
Tell me nothing changes
Tell me nothing changes
Tell me nothing changes
Need you right, need you right now
Do me right, do me right now
So tell me
Tell me
Tell me
