Proposal on the Zhongshan New Legend--EcoResort Introduction: The main focus of our design is to produce a luxury and natural EcoResort in the Zhongshan New Legend. With no destruction to the original environment, we spread the low-density buildings around the land according to the terrain as to prevent wall effect. With a wide variety of related eco-practices inside the resort, we aim to make this place a top holiday paradise for people in China. The EcoResort inculcates environmental responsibilities. Guests can learn to incorporate ecologically sound practices in their everyday lives just by observing practices within the resort or volunteering to help. Community planning: Characteristics: Just next to the entrance and exit will be an 8-storey high amenities building with hanging garden and green roof. It provides various services and short courses such as yoga and organic soap making. A natural Chinese-style restaurant which will be built according to the surrounding existing environment, by making least destruction to the natural scene, people can enjoy their foods under relaxed and fresh environment. The main attractive point of the EcoResort is the "Tree top Adventure" outdoor activity which is suitable for whole family. Other outdoor activities such as lawn bowls, hiking, cycling, archery will also be provided. New design of the buildings: 100 resorts, with green walls and inclined roof so as to collect rain water to reuse, will be proposed in the EcoResort which are classified into 3 types: 1st type resort is for couples. Each contains 2 floors; 1 room; site area 100m^3 and GFA 200m^3 2nd type resort is for the families having 3-5 members. Each contains 2 floors; 2 rooms; 100m^3 site area and 200m^3 GFA 3rd type resort is for the families/groups having 6-10 members. Each contains 3 floors; 6 rooms; site area 150m^3 and GFA 450m^3. The housetop of resorts is a garden where have different kinds of flowers and solar panels to make resorts more green. All selected appliances used will have the highest energy efficiency. Technology and policy: Environmental Only cycling is allowed inside the resort. Organic and recycling practices will be introduced strictly inside the resort. Using leftovers from the restaurant, the organic fish pond allows visitors to have fishing, at the same time, spread the message of ecosystem practice applied in the fish pond. Organic soap will be used in the EcoResort as well as produced by the guests themselves through classes organized by the EcoResort. Profitability To form a great image to the public, one of the possible ways is to allow the drama or film makers to produce their works inside the resort at low priced or even free as to boost its popularity. Golf cart services by staff will be provided to the guests when needed. To provide customers with unforgettable wedding party, they can enjoy beautiful and natural environment. The amenities buildings will introduce different short courses regularly such as yoga class in order to make profit from people living around other that only from the resort visitors.
