DisCARDbOARD - Supported by Scotmid Co-operative
DisCARDbOARD was a week-long celebration of cardboard, which took place at the ForestCentre+ and Forest Café in Edinburgh. The exhibition received funding from Scotmid Co-operative as part of our community grant scheme. This exhibition of 35 local and international artists brought together everything from cardboard animation to furniture and art installation. Alongside the exhibition ran a series of workshops including build you own 2D furniture, and a discussion night in which 3 artists gave us their answer to "why cardboard?". The week was ended with BOX WARS, a weapon and armour building workshop, followed by a fight until the death of cardboard. Find out more about DisCARDbOARD here: http://s.coop/1uc8o Find out more about ForestCentre+ here: http://s.coop/1uc8p If you think your community group could benefit from a Scotmid Community Grant find out more here: http://s.coop/1uc8h Or look in your local store for a Scotmid Community Grant Application form.- published: 30 Apr 2014
