TAYLOR SWIFT’s 1989 trek has been named the top tour of 2015 after bringing in more than $250 million worldwide.

The pop superstar kicked off The 1989 World Tour in Japan in May, and visited locations including the U.K., North America and China before wrapping the shows in Australia on December 12.

It has now emerged Taylor scored the most profitable tour of the year with more than $250 million in global ticket sales, topping Pollstar’s annual rundown of top treks.

Taylor even managed to break a previous record set by the Rolling Stones by making $200 million in North America alone, dwarfing the $162 million the veteran rockers made in 2005 with their A Bigger Bang shows.

Australian rockers AC/DC came second in the 2015 rundown with $180 million ahead of last year’s top touring act, One Direction, who made $158.8 million.

The top five was rounded out by U2 and Foo Fighters in fourth and fifth respectively.
