Join Shepherd Entertainment on a tour of Wall Street, the busy stock exchange area and its surrounding buildings in New York.
According to decisions of high congress, high buildings have to be narrowed toward the top in order to let more light to the streets. The Walworth House erected in 1911 was built according to Cass Gilbert's plans. Fellow architect Paul Gilbert said the following about it. Its gothic design organically fed into the vertical shape of the three-storey building. It has an almost Mozart hint quality to it - a sense of light and graceful detail applied to a firm and self-assured structure.
Wall Street quickly became the synonym of New York's financial district. In Dutch times, a wall extended here protecting against English and Indian attacks giving this part of the city its name. Today, the headquarters of the biggest banks, and offices and several other financial are here. The stock palace of the city, the New York Stock Exchange is not only the most significant such building in the world but also the oldest one founded in 1792. George B Post planned the present building in 1903 modeled on Roman churches. Those who registered can watch the milling from the round gallery of the Four-Meter Hall on weekdays. An exhibition illustrating the history of stock exchange can be seen on the third floor. Most of Greenwich Village visitors say it reminds of the Latin Quarter in Paris or Soho in London. First Dutch settlers chased away the native Mohawk Indians and established tobacco plantations here. They were followed by the English who named the village settlement after their Greenwich next to tens.
The Quarter has still preserved some of its former village atmosphere. Perhaps, this is why artists also fluctuate. In New York, with every step, the tourist tracks its great ancestors and this is true to an even greater extent here in the village. Here, live Theodore Dreiser, Edgar Allan Poe, Henry James, John Espasos, Sinclair Louis, William Styrene, and Edward Albee. The likes of Bob Dylan, Barbara Streisand, and Joan Byes started their path towards world fame from the stages of Off Broadway. The villages' newspapers were the first to publish the novels of John Updike and Tom Wolf and poem by Allen Ginsburg.
The art quarter is famous for its cafés, bars, pubs, and music clubs.

Join Shepherd Entertainment on a tour of Wall Street, the busy stock exchange area and its surrounding buildings in New York.

Scott McCartney on Lunch Break shares his favorite simple travel tips. Put a shoe you wear when flying into the room safe with your passport so you'll never leave the passport behind when you leave. Tear off little paper with the room number when you check into a hotel and keep it handy so you don't have to remember. Print boarding passes in advance to claim your seat and reduce chances of getting bumped. We discuss the perils of calling home from a business trip when you're having fun and your spouse is ankle deep in diapers, proper prep for TSA body scanners, tips on cash aboard and why you should ribbon your black suitcase and put a business card inside.

So nun aber eins nach dem anderen.
Ich selbst reise sehr gerne, und man kann auch sagen
sehr viel. Egal ob Privat oder Beruflich, ich bin mehrmals
pro Monat unterwegs.
Auto, Bahn, Flug, Hotel. Immer auf der Jagd nach Schnäppchen.
Denn ich will beim reisen sparen.
"Low Cost Weltenbummler" nennt.
http://promo.ag2014.16759.digistore24.com/
Wir hatten sofort einen sehr guten Draht zueinander, und arbeiten
schon fast 1 Jahr eng zusammen.
zittern!
Seit nunmehr 14 Jahren reist Ralf (fast) umsonst um die Welt.
Hier mal Beispiele ..
.. 10 Tage Mauritius im 5 Sterne mit Halbpension für 400 Euro
.. 1 Woche Mallorca im 4,5 Sterne Hotel mit All Inklusive für NULL Euro
.. 8 Wochen Mietwagen in den USA mir 4175 Dollar Rabatt
Glauben Sie nicht? Dann schauen Sie mal hier:

New York, the Big Apple for the locals, is the largest city of the United States. Its most famous sight is the monumental Statue of Liberty, but there are the famous skyscrapers like the Empire State Building or the Rockefeller Center, while the twin towers of the World trade Center are sadly missed. Along the streets cabs hunt for customers. The lung of the city is Central Park, the paradise of joggers and dog owners. The Wall Street is the center of the world of money, while the Broadway is the same for Arts. Famous theatres, museums, the cafes and clubs of Greenwich Village and the renewed places of the old docks await the visitors here.

Our recent week in New York City was an action-packed one. We decided to set ourselves a challenge to see and do as much as we possibly could, and that gave way to this travel video guide which highlights 50 of the top attractions. In a city like New York this means we barely scratched the surface, but hopefully this video will highlight the cornucopia of possibilities that is the Big Apple.
We try our best to cover all of the top attractions including fine arts, entertainment, festivals, dining, architecture and museums as well as focusing on lesser known off the beaten path attractions to cover all forms of tourism. If you only have time to visit only one city in the United States it ought to be NYC, USA:

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. You can ride roller coasters, stroll down the boardwalk, enjoy some beach time, and then head over the Nathan's Famous hot dogs. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. Strawberry Fields is a section of Central Park dedicated to the memory of John Lennon.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Have you been to New York? What are your favorite things about this city? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

With one week in Prague, we hit the ground running trying to see and experience as much as we could in the Golden City. We had high expectations and Prague's beauty and charm managed to exceed all of them. It's a city we thoroughly enjoyed and wanted to share with you.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world and it is home to several palaces, as well as a cathedral, a basilica, and gardens.
We're here now in Novy Svet. It is a cool little neighborhood right behind the castle. Here we are at the Kafka Museum. This museum is dedicated to him and his work and you'll find some of his letters, diary entries and photographs inside. Stroll along the John Lennon Wall and you'll encounter portraits of Lennon and Yoko Ono. Right now we are visiting Prague's TV Tower and the strangest thing about this structure is that there are babies crawling up and down. Have a look. Up next we have a big plate of Goulash. Saint Vitus is a Gothic cathedral located within the walls of Prague Castle. Inside you'll be able to admire beautiful stained glass windows designed in the art nouveau style. Inside the KGB Museum you'll find old propaganda as well as some unusual pieces like a copy of Lenin's death mask. The Golden Lane gets its name because legend has it that Emperor Rudolph was a fan of alchemy. Charles Bridge is one of the most popular landmarks in the city. If you walk across during the day, you'll find musicians, artists, and vendors selling souvenirs. When in Prague you can check out the Astronomical Clock. It goes off every hour and it is right in the heart of the Old Town. You can't come to Prague and not sample the street food. One particularly popular item is the Trdlenik. Petrin Tower stands 63 meters high on a hill overlooking Prague. It slightly resembles the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Vyšehrad is a historical fort located in the city of Prague. In my hand here I've got myself a Pilsner beer and this is like a Czech institution. The Jeleni Prikop Park located right behind Prague Castle is a great place for a picnic or a little nap on the grass. Also one cool little fact. Even though the National Museum is currently closed you can still attend musical performances in the evening. The Dancing House is a building which stands out from the rest, done in the deconstructionist style. Here I've got Absinthe in my hand. It is an Anise flavored spirit and it is extremely popular here in Prague. Another cool thing you can do is visit the Miniature Museum where you can see microscopic art. The Mucha Museum pays homage to Alphonse Mucha, and it's a must visit if you enjoy art nouveau. And that sums up our visit to Prague! Our one week in the city left us charmed and it's a place that we'd be happy to revisit again.
What are some of your favorite things to do in the city? Please let us know in the comment section below:

We're here at Tiergarten, one of the biggest parks in the city. MauerPark is a hipster hangout. Every Sunday people flock to this park and spend the day barbecuing, listening to music, enjoying a few beers, and simply having a good time. There's a popular flea market where you can pick up old vinyls and clothes, and if you head over to the Bear Pit you can catch some karaoke and musical performances. If you want to spot some cool street art, then head over to Friedrichshain. You can't come to Berlin and not eat a Currywurst! This is the city's most popular fast food snack. The sausage is served with a ketchup and curry powder concoction. Up next we're at the Reichstag building which has a pretty cool glass dome on top. This dome is actually open to visitors and it offers 360 degree views of the city. Today we're visiting Tempelhof, a re-purposed airport here in Berlin for leisure activities and sports. If you enjoy museums and art galleries you'll want to visit Berlin's Museum Island. They actually have five different museums here and if you get a daily pass for 18 Euros you get access to all five. We are now visiting the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin. It is also known as the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Charlottenburg Palace is the largest palace in Berlin and the only surviving royal residence in the city. Checkpoint Charlie was one of the crossing points between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War. Located near Alexanderplatz, The Berlin TV Tower offers a great lookout over the city. Chocolate! Ritter Sport is a chocolate brand that is sold all over Germany, and while in Berlin we couldn't resist sampling a few of the different varieties. Berlin Cathedral is located on Museum Island and it's one of the most beautiful churches in the city. If Currywurst is to your liking, you'll want to check out this quirky museum devoted to Berlin's favorite sausage. Renting a bike is a great way to get around the city. Most places will rent out bikes at 10 Euros per day. For a leisurely afternoon, hop on a boat and enjoy a tour down the River Spree. Of course, you cannot come to Berlin and not eat a Wurst or a sausage. The Friedrichshain flea market takes place every Sunday and it's a great place for people watching and a little browsing. The Germans sure know how to enjoy a hearty breakfast, and we recommend you try it too. Breakfast usually offers a wide sampling of loafs and bread rolls, accompanied with various deli cuts and cheese.
We couldn't resist visiting yet another cat cafe while we were in Berlin.
While in Berlin we enjoyed a hearty meal of Schnitzel. This thin strip of meat is coated in flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs, before being deep-fried. You can order it with a side of mashed potatoes or German noodles known as Spaetzle. It's quite easy to get around Berlin using the U-bahn and S-bahn system. In Berlin, there is a big Turkish population and that means there is awesome Turkish street food. And that's Berlin for you! A city that has risen from the ashes of the war, which is now bursting with art, music, and life.

In Berlin, there is a big Turkish population and that means there is awesome Turkish street food. And that's Berlin for you! A city that has risen from the ashes of the war, which is now bursting with art, music, and life.
Have you been to Berlin? We'd love to hear your favourite things about the city in the comments below.

Travel video about destination New York in the United States of America.
New York is capital city of the American Dream, with its population drawn from each corner of the world. The Empire State Building is a symbol of the glamour and fascination of this frenetic city, yet the Chrysler building is just as imposing, its unusual tower being decorated with car motifs such as bonnets, hub caps and car wheels of the 1930‘s. Wall Street derived its name from a wall which had been erected to protect the emerging town from attack by Native American Indians and now most of the city is an open powerhouse of ceaseless activity with a constant mêlée of car horns, sirens, and screeching tyres.Greenwich Village is one of the few areas of the city that has no clearly-defined symmetry. Attractive steps grace many of its 19th century houses of red brick and brown sandstone and, until the 1960‘s, many important artists and authors lived there, such as Edgar Allen Poe and Henry James. Little Italy, Chinatown, The Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, Broadway, Times Square…each has its own colourful stories to tell amid the fantastic man-made Manhattan glass horizons: the skyscrapers which shamelessly reach up to the heavens and exclaim that New York is most assuredly the commercial capital of the universe.

New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.
The most important places to visit in New York are: Brooklyn Bridge (built in 1883, it is one of the oldest suspension bridges in America and continues to inspire the people of New York City), Wall Street (the bull here makes everyone happy. See where billions are won or lost in seconds), Central Park (one of the world's greatest urban parks. Get involved in an outdoor activity or watch New Yorkers go about their exercise routines), Empire State Building (an American icon, which was built remarkably during the Great Depression. Ride to the top for unmatched city views), Times Square (best experienced at night. First time visitors are simply in awe amidst the bright neon lights), Statue of Liberty (this is one landmark you must visit. The ultimate symbol of New York City).
If you want to save time and money, the most important New York travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

***** Prague Castle . This is the biggest ancient castle in the world, according to Guinness World Records, and rises like a dream above the city offering beautiful views of the areas below. Also on site is the St. Vitus Cathedral with its lookout tower, the Castle Picture Gallery, several palaces and museums and the beautiful Royal Garden, among others. You can also watch the Presidential Guard, and the changeover of the guards on duty on the hour. A Prague castle ticket is 350 CZK and an audio guide costs a further 350 CZK.
***** Charles Bridge connects Old Town with Lesser Town. Its construction started in the 14th century and it is one of Prague's most beautiful structures. During the day, it is a bustling place of trade and entertainment, as musicians busk and artists sell their paintings and jewelry.
***** Old Town (Staré město); Prague's historic centre includes numerous historic buildings and monuments, most notably the famed Astronomical Clock (Orloj), the pure GothicTýn Church, the mural-covered Storch building, and the Jan Hus monument. Nearby, the Estate Theatre is a neoclassical theatre where Mozart's opera Don Giovanni was first performed. Old Town features many historical churches (St. James Church, Church of Our Lady before Týn among others) and some other interesting historical buildings like the Old Town Hall.
***** Josefov; this historic Jewish ghetto is interesting for its well preserved synagogues. The Old New Synagogue (Czech: Staronová synagoga) is Europe's oldest active synagogue and it is rumoured to be the resting place of the famed Prague Golem. Another interesting synagogue is the Spanish Synagogue, a highly ornamental building of Moorish style. Other attractions include the Old Jewish Cemetery, which is the oldest in Europe, and Kafka's house.
**** New Town (Nové město); New Town was established as an extension of Old Town in the 14th century, though much of the area has now been reconstructed. The main attraction here is Wenceslas Square, a rectangular commercial square with many stalls, shops and restaurants. At the top of the square is the National Museum which is well worth a look (see below). Midway down this historic boulevard, one finds trendy discos and Art Nouveau hotels, as well as quaint parks and arcades, while just off the beaten path are some wonderful panoramic views (Henry Tower), romantic restaurants and the dazzling, Disney-colored Jubilee Synagogue.
***** Lesser Town (Malá strana); Across the Vltava River from the city centre and leading to the castle, this quarter also offers beautiful streets and churches (of which St. Nicholas Church is the most renowned). The Lennon Wall, which used to be a source of irritation to the communist regime, is also found here, near a Venetian-like canal with water wheel and close to the Charles Bridge.
****** Infant of Prague (Jezulátko). This famous statue of Christ, known also as the Holy Infant of Prague, is among the most widespread religious images in the world. The original statue can be seen in the Church of Our Lady Victorious in Lesser Town.
**** Loreta . A beautiful Baroque convent in the Lesser Town.
**** Strahov Monastery. A monastery on the mountain. Worth a visit for both its picture gallery and its notable Renaissance library.
***** Prague Dancing House (Fred and Ginger Building); one of the most fascinating architectural expressions of Prague co-designed by Vlado Milunic and Frank Gehry. Accessible from Karlovo náměstí metro station.
**** Petřínská rozhledna . A smaller version of the Eiffel Tower on the top of Petrin Hill overlooking Prague. Climbing the tower costs 120 CZK for a standard ticket or 60 CZK for discounts. Paid lift available (60 CZK).
**** Prague Giant Metronome— A huge monument erected to replace the Stalinist monument that preceded it.
**** Memorial to the 1989 Velvet Revolution— A simple brass plaque at 20 Narodni. From Cafe Louvre, walk toward the river. You will enter an archway, and after just a few meters, look at the wall on the left.
***** Prague Zoo. To get there, take Metro C to Nadrazi Holesovice, then bus 112 which terminates at the Zoo. Nearby is the Troja Chateau (Trojský Zámek) with a large garden displaying various sculptures and a Botanic Garden (Botanická zahrada Troja) with a tropical greenhouse.
****** Prague christmas markets. The atmosphere of the Prague Christmas market was then enriched by fairground attractions, there used to be singers who showed the horrific scenes illustrating the songs stories.

Cote d'Azur, the wonderful "blue bank" has been the symbol of high life, being the millionaire's holiday resort for more than 100 years. Beautiful beaches, amazing landscapes, immense cultural relics and luxury are at its utmost. Beginning at the Italian boarder line up the famous cities. Menton is famous of its "lemon festival", and it also has the best climate. The tiny duchy of Monaco is hallmarked by Monte Carlo casinos and the Formula-1 Grand Prix, while the Saint Jean peninsula has highest rate of aristocrats and celebrities per square meter. Nice, known by its flower carnival, is a big town, braided by its legendary seaside walkway, Promenade des Anglais. Antibes reminds us of Picasso and Napoleon, while Cannes is the European film capital. During the May Film Festival every star that matters walks that red carpet. St. Paul de Vence is the favorite corner of many of XX. century prominent artists. Surrounded by a town-wall, it is the showpiece of romantic Provencal settlement. St. Tropez, the city of the famous gendarme, was the most illustrious, most extravagant resort of the 60’s, brought into fashion by Brigitte Bardot and her friends.
