Reaching higher profile levels grants access to better gear and unlockable content, with the ability to house awards in a virtual trophy room.

i've made my nba live 08 more realistic coz this is maybe the last nba live game on pc. EA Sports says that nba live 09 will not be released on pc, but i'm not so sure about that.

Yao Ming (born September 12, 1980) is a retired Chinese professional basketball player who last played for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). At the time of his final season, he was the tallest active player in the NBA, at 2.29 m (7 ft 6 in).
Yao, who was born in Shanghai, started playing for the Shanghai Sharks as a teenager, and played on their senior team for five years in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), winning a championship in his final year. After negotiating with the CBA and the Sharks to secure his release, Yao was selected by the Houston Rockets as the first overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft. Yao was selected to start for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game eight times, and was named to the All-NBA Team five times. He reached the NBA Playoffs four times, and the Rockets won a first-round series in the 2009 postseason, their first playoff series victory since 1997. However, Yao missed 250 regular-season games due to foot and ankle injuries in his final six seasons.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player, active entrepreneur, and majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. His biography on the National Basketball Association (NBA) website states, "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time." Jordan was one of the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation and was considered instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s.
After a three-season career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Tar Heels' national championship team in 1982, Jordan joined the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984. He quickly emerged as a league star, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping ability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line in slam dunk contests, earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan" and "His Airness". He also gained a reputation for being one of the best defensive players in basketball. "This patch adds 2012/2013 season rosters to NBA Live 08 accurate as of March 31st 2013 as well as final 2011/2012, 2010/2011, 2009/2010 and 2008/2009 season rosters. It adds missing players along with cyberface and portrait updates and also contains updated ratings for better performance as well as correct player positions and bio data.
It also includes missing legends such as Michael Jordan complete with faces and portraits, adds a second 90s All-Stars team, updates the Team USA roster and adds Dream Team I and Dream Team III to the game. Finally, a Fatigue Fix by Maek and updated playbooks have also been included for better performance and the East and West All-Star teams as well as the Rookie and Sophomore teams have also been updated for All-Star Weekend 2013.
Note that this patch is for the PC version ONLY.

-The morning after (Friday) at 2am-4am (CT) and 6am-10am (CT) on NBATV, an American Cable Specialty Channel, not the original broadcast channel TNT, which is a American Cable Standard Channel.
-The majority of people in the United States don’t have Specialty Channels (b/c it cost more $$$) and on top of that, these rerun times are very inconvenient to almost all individuals with any type of responsibility (School, Work, etc.) especially seeing as they re-air early Friday mornings, a weekday.
-This show does air very late and most people have jobs, school, etc. and aren’t able to stay up and watch the original airing as well.
-This program also has fans outside the US, and they can’t enjoy the show anymore either b/c the Full Episode Website has been taken down.
-With that being said, as discussed by word of mouth and on many forums, blogs, comments, etc. the absence of the Full Episode Website put all of the shows fans at a great disadvantage and were at risk of not enjoying this Popular Emmy awarded show of 15+ years at all.
So I thought it would do all fans of the NBA, Turner Sports as well as Shaq, EJ, Kenny and Charles a great service as to making this show available in a platform more fans could enjoy at NO PROFIT TO MYSELF and ALL BENEFIT TO THE SHOW AND THE FANS.

On top of ITNBA’s already late airing, the ONLY other way to watch ITNBA are through reruns that air…
-The morning after (Friday) at 2am-4am (CT) and 6am-10am (CT) on NBATV, an American Cable Specialty Channel, not the original broadcast channel TNT, which is a American Cable Standard Channel.
-The majority of people in the United States don’t have Specialty Channels (b/c it cost more $$$) and on top of that, these rerun times are very inconvenient to almost all individuals with any type of responsibility (School, Work, etc.) especially seeing as they re-air early Friday mornings, a weekday.
-This show does air very late and most people have jobs, school, etc. and aren’t able to stay up and watch the original airing as well.
-This program also has fans outside the US, and they can’t enjoy the show anymore either b/c the Full Episode Website has been taken down.
-With that being said, as discussed by word of mouth and on many forums, blogs, comments, etc. the absence of the Full Episode Website put all of the shows fans at a great disadvantage and were at risk of not enjoying this Popular Emmy awarded show of 15+ years at all.
So I thought it would do all fans of the NBA, Turner Sports as well as Shaq, EJ, Kenny and Charles a great service as to making this show available in a platform more fans could enjoy at NO PROFIT TO MYSELF and ALL BENEFIT TO THE SHOW AND THE FANS.

They were joined at the announcement by Yao Ming, who was not officially anounced as a finalist on Friday, but who had previously been nominated for enshrinement through the Hall's International Committtee, and will join them in consideration for a spot in this summer's class.
The three stars became eligible for induction this season thanks to a pair of calls made last year by the Hall's decision-makers. First, they determined that Iverson's 10-game post-NBA stint playing in Turkey didn't count as a full season of professional play, meaning that A.I. — who didn't officially announce his retirement until October 2013, but who played his final NBA game in February 2010 — met the criteria of being "fully retired for five years before being eligible for Enshrinement." Then, they changed that guideline altogether, reducing the waiting period from five years to four years and opening the door to nomination for O'Neal and Yao, both of whom played their last NBA game during the 2010-11 season.
Some have charged that the Hall made those decisions in order to avoid fielding a 2016 class lacking in star power, especially coming on the heels of a 2015 ceremony that saw many worthy Hall of Famers enshrined — Dikembe Mutombo, Spencer Haywood, Jo Jo White, John Calipari, Lisa Leslie, Tommy Heinsohn and Louie Dampier, among others — but that didn't generate widespread crossover interest ... or, at least, not quite the level of interest that stars like Shaq, A.I. and Yao would generate. Hall of Fame President John Doleva, however, has said the decisions weren't driven by marketing.
Whatever the motivation, we're here now, which means we're all but assured a Shaq speech at the Hall this summer ... and, judging by the way he held court on Friday, that figures to be quite an event:
Iverson made seven All-NBA teams and 11 All-Star teams, won four scoring titles and one MVP award, ranks in the top 25 in NBA history in per-game scoring and total points, and made an indelible mark on the culture of the game, but as SB Nation's Tom Ziller noted in September, the "secretive voting body in charge of the Hall" might not be so thrilled about ushering A.I. into Springfield.

[PSP] NBA 08 Conquest Mode Gameplay - Son Oliver
This particular blog post focuses on the PSP version's Conquest mode, a "basketball meets Risk" gameplay mode. Conquest goes like this: if you win against your opponents, you'll gain control of their city and all of its players. If you lose, your opponent can choose to steal one of your players. For NBA '08, planning and strategy will be important factors in Conquest mode. According to Snavely, the development team has thrown in a few new gameplay twists. For example, if you gain control of all five teams in a division, you can "unlock a historic player who will come out of retirement and play for you". -
