Every year thousands of kids across the country leave home and head off to college campuses to embark on a new journey. Between tough course loads and campus organizations, students might find a chance to turn up every now and then.
Obviously, different schools have different campus traditions and social scenes. So we've decided to head out to some of the hottest colleges and universities across the country and see what different schools are like.
This past weekend we kicked off our college tour in Philadelphia at Temple University's homecoming. From the homecoming tailgate, to the game against Tulane, and finishing off with the nightlife, Temple was lit! College is fun, but we knew that already. What school should we head to next?! Hit me up, and let me know!

FAQ's:
Is Temple safe?
A: Yes, Temple is safe. The campus is well lit as well as there being many people on campus at all times. Security guards are posed outside of resident halls and on the streets. The big, blue poles offer assistance in case of an emergency.
Where is there to eat on campus?
A: Johnson and Hardwick, Morgan Hall, and the Student Center take meal swipes. The food trucks usually take cash or debit cards. Many other places on campus take Diamond Dollars. There is really good food like the Crepe truck near Tyler, SAC has Auntie Anne’s and good smoothies, etc. The Tropical Café on Broad is a fan favorite.
Will I get lost?
A: Maybe! It takes some getting used to. If you can locate the Bell Tower or Liacoras Walk, you can easily find your way from there. It’s not THAT big of a campus, so within the first few days it should become memory.
How do I find homework?
A: Many teachers will use Blackboard for the syllabus and assignments. All of my homework is posted there, and it can be accessed through your Portal. It is easy to find and easy to use.
How is living with roommates?
A: Living with roommates can be fun! I love my roommates. You get easily comfortable and your dorm becomes your home. I do a lot of things with my roommates. You also don’t see them EVERY second of every day because your schedules will most likely be different, therefore you will have alone time.
Are there parties?
A: Yes, there are parties. Popular parties happen at the frat houses.
Do I bring a laptop to class?
A: Most professors don’t care or won’t tell you. It’s up to you. I had mine in my backpack but rarely use it. I have seen a lot of people with tablets instead, which is a brilliant idea that I would suggest. I use a notebook and handwrite my notes which I had an adviser suggest.
How do I find my adviser?
A: They are easy to find and very useful. You will be assigned a specific school, mine being the School of Communications building, dependent on your major. Go to your assigned school and just ask for an adviser. They will either meet with you or schedule an appointment. They can answer all the questions you have.
How do I get into the city?
A: Many students use the Subway. It costs $3.60 for two tokens. Be careful at night, but it is cheap transportation and you’ll often find it crowded with students.
Downside to TU:
The noise! It is very noisy with the Subway being underground. There are usually cop cars going by or ambulances, so you may want headphones.
Things I would suggest buying are:
A tablet for class. A whiteboard to write your assignments on. A fan for your room when they don’t turn off the heat until May. A blanket. A robe. Under the bed storage. In the closet storage. A watch because not all classrooms have clocks. A reusable water bottle. An assignment book. Quarters for the Subway or laundry.

Temple Bar is the lively, sometimes rambunctious entertainment district of Dublin, Ireland. When you’re ready to shop, eat, or dance the night away, this is the area of the city you need to frequent. A tour of Temple Bar reveals narrow cobblestone streets, many of them virtually unchanged since medieval times. Despite its seemingly ancient layout, you’ll find a thoroughly modern assortment of restaurants, nightclubs, cafes, and shops taking up residence here.
Your Temple Bar sightseeing will no doubt take you to the River Liffey, which runs through Dublin. When you’re ready to explore a little of Ireland’s history, you’ll find the Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship and Famine Museum right on the Liffey. This replica of an 1847 tall ship provides tours of its cramped interiors and offers a glimpse of life for Irish immigrants who made their way across the Atlantic.
Adjacent to Temple Bar is Trinity College, better known as Ireland’s oldest university. This beautiful campus is not to be missed; explore the classic architecture of Parliament Square, or wander through the Campanile—just make sure you don’t do so just before finals if you are a student, as rumor has it such an action leads to bad luck.

Travel video about destination Kolkata in India.
Calcutta, or Kolkata as it has been known since 2001, is the capital of West Bengal and also the second largest city in India.
A city of contrasts that could not be more striking with slums, poverty and degrading conditions, while nearby, the wealthy enjoy all the finer things of life. Once a humble village on the Hooghly River, Kolkata became the capital of British India.
Close to the Victoria Memorial is the Orient's first Anglican cathedral, St. Paul's, a remarkable sacred building. Of Indo-Gothic design, it was built between 1839 and 1847 and is a legacy of British colonial rule on the banks of the Gulf of Bengal. The red brick Writers´ Building was formerly the headquarters of the East India Company and it was from there that trade was carried out across the entire world. It was also the administrative centre for Bengal, Burma and Pakistan.
Kalighat is the oldest pilgrimage destination in the world. Narrow pathways lead to a Shiva temple along with stalls selling souvenirs and religious offerings.T he sanctuary was built in 1809 and is still busy today as taxis and bicycle rickshaws wait for the thousands of pilgrims that go there each day. In Kolkata, the Hindu doctrine of a better life after rebirth is, for many, the only hope that they can cling to.
Nevertheless, Kolkata is one of the most fascinating metropolises in the world and also one in which chaos reigns supreme!

Check out my Seoul travel guide and tips at this link: http://migrationology.com/2012/05/seoul-travel-guide/ - All my personal Seoul travel tips and suggestions!
Seoul, South Korea, is truly an amazing city to visit! It's modern, easy to navigate and there's little something everyone will enjoy. The Seoul subway system makes it easy to get around town and discover exactly what the giant city has to offer.
Surrounded by Japan and China, Seoul and South Korea sometimes doesn't get all the attention is deserves . Korea is home to a unique culture, cuisine and a fascinating history. If you ever have the chance to visit Seoul, you'll have a great time!
I traveled to Seoul Korea and was able to do all kinds of things, but I've narrowed this list down to twenty five of the best things to do in Seoul - of course there are other things as well but this list is just the beginning and intended to get your ideas and travel imagination flowing!
Anyway, on to the top Seoul attractions, here's the list in case you can't see the video:
1. Gyeongbukgung Palace
2. Bukchon Hanok Village
3. Jogyesa Buddhist Temple
4. Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress
5. War Memorial and Museum
6. N Seoul Tower
7. Myeongdong Shopping
8. Insadong
9. Namdaemun Market
10. Dongdaemun
11. International Itaewon
12. Hongdae (Hongik University)
13. Lotte Mart
14. Lotte World
15. Seoul Children's Park
16. Han River Walking / Riding
17. Walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream
18. Hike in Seoul
19. Gwangjang Market
20. Noryangjin Fish Market
21. Garak Wholesale Food Market
22. Korean Street Food
23. Ice Cream Selections
24. Coffee at a Coffee Shop
25. Korean Barbecue
I stayed in South Korea for just over 2 weeks and was able to complete this entire list of things to do in Seoul.
However, even though there are so many places to see and go, probably my favorite of all is eating and sampling delicious Korean food! Korean food is so good and there are so many restaurants everywhere you look in Seoul that it can truly be considered a foodie's paradise.
If you get a chance to visit Seoul I hope your'e able to do all these wonderful things while you're there!

Ta Prohm (Khmer: ប្រាសាទតាព្រហ្ម, pronunciation: brasaeattaproh) is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province,Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara (in Khmer: រាជវិហារ). Located approximately one kilometre east of Angkor Thom and on the southern edge of the East Baray, it was founded by theKhmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors. UNESCO inscribed Ta Prohm on the World Heritage List in 1992. Today, it is one of the most visited complexes in Cambodia’s Angkor region. The conservation and restoration of Ta Prohm is a partnership project of the Archaeological Survey of India and the APSARA (Authority for the Protection and Management of Angkor and the Region of Siem Reap). In 1186 A.D., Jayavarman VII embarked on a massive program of construction and public works. Rajavihara ("monastery of the king"), today known as Ta Prohm ("ancestor Brahma"), was one of the first temples founded pursuant to that program. The stelecommemorating the foundation gives a date of 1186 A.D. For more info please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ta_Prohm

Vikramshila is an ancient site located 40 km away from the Bhagalpur city of Bihar. The small town is famous for housing Vikramshila University, which was built under the guidance of Dharmapala, a Pala king of 8th century AD. Situated on top of the hills along the banks of river Ganges, the university became a learning center of Tantric Buddhism. Over the years, Vikramshila became one of the most popular Buddhist destinations in India and a major tourist spot in Bihar.
During the ancient period, there was a temple located at the center of Vikramshila University. A life-size copy of the Mahabodhi tree was enshrined in this temple. It is believed that around 108 temples were constructed around it. The study of Guhyasamaja Tantra was carried out in 53 of those temples. Some of the great scholars, including Santipa, Jetari, Ratnavajra, Jnanasrimitra, Naropa and Atisa, have been closely associated with Vikramshila University.
In the present times, Vikramshila stands as a site for the remains of this University, which was built with bricks and decorated with terracotta plaques in the walls of the two-tier circumambulatory paths. Carved pillars, Buddhist images and pictures of Hindu deities have been excavated from this ancient site. The town of Vikramshila is 10 km north of Kahalgaon and 291 km from Patna, the capital city of Bihar.
How To Reach Vikramshila
===========
The nearest airport from Vikramshila is located in Patna. If you want to travel via train, then you will have to go to the nearest railway junction that is siatuted in Kahalgaon. Vikramshila has excellent connectivity with Patna, Gaya, Bodhgaya, Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Biharsharif, Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon, via road. You will easily get vehicles on hire from Bhagalpur, which will take you directly to Vikramshila.
Vikramaśīla University
=================
Vikramaśīla University was one of the two most important centres of Buddhist learning in India during the Pala dynasty, along with Nālandā University. Vikramaśīla was established by King Dharmapala (783 to 820) in response to a supposed decline in the quality of scholarship at Nālandā. Atisha, the renowned pandita, is sometimes listed as a notable abbot.
Vikramasila (village Antichak, district Bhagalpur, Bihar) is located at about 50 km east of Bhagalpur and about 13 km north-east of Kahalgaon, a railway station on Bhagalpur-Sahebganj section of Eastern Railway. It is approachable through 11 km long motorable road diverting from N.H.80 at Anadipur about 2 km from Kahalgaon.

Carved pillars, Buddhist images and pictures of Hindu deities have been excavated from this ancient site. The town of Vikramshila is 10 km north of Kahalgaon and 291 km from Patna, the capital city of Bihar.
How To Reach Vikramshila
===========
=================

Kalasan Temple
Kalasan, also known as Candi Kalibening, is an 8th-century Buddhist temple in Indonesia. It is located 13 km east of Yogyakarta on the way to Prambanan temple, on the south side of the main road 'Jalan Solo' between Yogyakarta and Surakarta. Administratively, it is located in the Kalasan District of Sleman Regency.
According to the Kalasan inscription dated 778 AD, written in Sanskrit using Pranagari script, the temple was erected by the will of Guru Sang Raja Sailendravamçatilaka (the Jewel of Sailendra family) who succeeded to persuade Maharaja Tejapurnapana Panangkaran (in other part of the inscription also called as Kariyana Panangkaran) to construct Tarabhavanam, a holy building for the goddess (boddhisattvadevi) Tara.
Also to build a vihara (monastery) for buddhist monks from Sailendra family's realm. Panangkaran awarded the Kalaça village to sangha (buddhist monastic community). According to the date of this inscription, Kalasan temple is the oldest among temples built in the Prambanan Plain.
Despite being renovated and partially rebuilt during the Dutch colonial era, the temple currently is in poor condition. Compared to other temples nearby such as Prambanan, Sewu, and Sambisari the temple is not well maintained.
The temple stands on square 14.20 meters sub-basement. The temple plan is cross-shaped 12 corners polygon. Each of four cardinal points have stairs and gates adorned with Kala-Makara and also have rooms measured 3,5 square meters. No statue is found in the smaller room facing north, west, and south; but the lotus pedestals suggested that the rooms once contains statues of bodhisattvas. The temple is richly decorated with buddhist figures such as bodhisattva and gana. The Kala Face above the southern door has been photographed and used by a number of foreign academics in their books to give an idea of the artistry in stone by Central Javanese artists of a millennia ago. Niches where the statues would have been placed are found inside and outside the temple. The niches adorned outer wall intricately carved with Kala, gods and divinities in scene of svargaloka, celestial palace abode of gods, apsaras, and gandharvas.
The roof of the temple is designed in three sections. The lower one are still according to the polygonal shape of the body and contains small niches with statues of boddhisatvas seated on lotus. Each of this niches is crowned with stupas. The middle part of the roof is in octagonal (eight sided) shape. Each of this eight sides adorned with niches contains statue of a Dhyani Buddha flanked by two standing boddhisatvas. The top part of the roof is almost circular and also have 8 niches crowned with single large dagoba. The octagonal aspect of the structure has led to speculation of non-buddhist elements in the temple, similar to some interpretations of the early Borobudur structure.
The temple is facing east, with eastern room also served as access to main central room. In the larger main room there is lotus pedestal and throne carved with makara, lion, and elephant figure, similar to the Buddha Vairocana throne founds in Mendut temple. According to the Kalasan inscription, the temple once houses the large (probably reaching 4 meters tall) statue of the Boddhisattvadevi Tara. By the design of the throne, most probably the statue of the goddess was in seated position and made from bronze. Now the statue is missing, probably the same fate as bronze Buddha statue in Sewu temple, being looted for scrap metal over centuries.
On the outer wall of the temple found the traces of plaster called vajralepa (lit: diamond plaster). The same substance also founds in nearby Sari temple. The white-yellowish plaster was applied to protect the temple wall, but now the plaster has worn off.
The temple is located on archaeologically rich Prambanan plain. Just a few hundred meters north east from Kalasan temple is located Sari temple. Candi Sari most probably was the monastery mentioned in Kalasan inscription. Further east lies the Prambanan complex, Sewu temple, and Plaosan temple.
