Raj Shekhar Azad (Sunny Deol) is an honest Deputy Commissioner of Police whose sole intention is to wipe out corruption. From his name to his aim, emerges unflinching patriotism. But for every such patriot, there is an equally motivated terrorist.
Waseem Khan (Mukesh Rishi), a dreaded terrorist, is aided in his mission by Raj's father-in-law (Raj Babbar), an influential industrialist (Danny Denzongpa) and several police officers.
Raj's path is laden with hurdles, but he leaves no stone unturned, within the realm of law, to wage a war against the evil doers. The film is notable for the Sunny Deol's portrayal DCP Azad. The sublime toughness and solidity that the acclaimed actor manages to bring to the character of Rajshekhar Azad in his trademark sedate style is the high point of the film. Raj Babbar too comes of in with a powerful performance though his role disappears within the first hour. The peerless Danny Dengzongpa, is powerful in his portrayal of Singhania Saab in the film.

ACP Arjun Singh (Om Puri) and his brother-in-law, Tayaji (Dara Singh) are with the police force but when Tayaji is killed on duty Arjun's family are devastated by his death. His wife Rukmani (Farida Jalal), daughter Kajal (Preity Zinta) and son Rahul are shattered by his death and soon Arjun is fearful that the same person that killed his brother-in-law will come after him or his family.
His new partner, Karan Singh (Sunny Deol) is quite controversial in his methods of getting justice and can at times break the rules. Arjun is also angered about the fact that his daughter has developed a crush for Karan. Soon the city is being terrorized by Gawa Firozi (Jackie Shroff) and his brother Sikander (Mukesh Tiwari). The two officers have to work together to capture and stop them.

Raj Malhotra (Bobby Deol) and Priya (Kareena Kapoor) meet by chance and fall in love. After marriage, they reside in Switzerland, where they meet an Indian couple: Vikram Bajaj (Akshay Kumar) and Sonia (Bipasha Basu). The couples quickly become friends and decide to go on a Christmas vacation to Mauritius.
All is well until Vikram begins to speak to Raj about wife swapping. This upsets Raj and a fight breaks out between them, and the four return home. A couple of days later, the two couples again become friends. On Vikram's birthday, the two men get drunk and find themselves in each other's house. The next morning Sonia is found dead, and Raj is accused of her murder. Raj manages to escape from court, and the Swiss police chase him. When he decides to confront Vikram, he finds the evidence to prove his innocence and win back his wife.

Riots and violence cause deaths and destruction in Mumbai city but the Chief Minister Balraj Chauhan (Amrish Puri) because of some political motive, does not take any preventive step. TV reporter Shivaji Rao (Anil Kapoor) in a telly interview of Chauhan publicly brings to light the CM's disregard towards the elimination of the recent violence and his total failure as a CM working for the growth and development of the state. Chauhan, just to stick up for his political image, says to Rao snapping his fingers, "Sirf ek din... sirf ek din ke liye CM bannke dikhaao", (Become the CM just for a day), something that later became a popular and theoretical political concept in India where edification in political and social arena is a crying need. Rao accepts Chauhan's challenge and emerges as an efficient CM wiping out various socio-economic problems of the state and dismissing the corrupt government employees. Rao's beloved is played by Rani Mukherjee.

His new partner, Karan Singh (Sunny Deol) is quite controversial in his methods of getting justice and can at times break the rules. Arjun is also angered about the fact that his daughter has developed a crush for Karan. Soon the city is being terrorized by Gawa Firozi (Jackie Shroff) and his brother Sikander (Mukesh Tiwari). The two officers have to work together to capture and stop them.

This action-comedy starring blockbuster pair Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla is quite unlike the soft and sweet romances the two stars are associated with. With able support from Jackie Shroff, the film is a thrilling buddy-cop flick with equal doses of comedy and action, all leading up to a compelling suspense in the climax. A.R. Rahman’s melodious soundtrack is the extra ace that completes this entertainer.

Paanch is an unreleased Indian film which was the directorial debut of Anurag Kashyap.The film is "loosely" based on the 1976-77 Joshi-Abhyankar serial murders in Pune. This dark noir was so controversial and ahead of its time that the censors had put a stay on its release and the film still today remains unreleased .
The refusals to release this film were made on six grounds - the film glorifies violence; it shows the modus operandi of a crime (killing of a police officer); it shows excessive use of drugs; it has double meaning dialogues (with sexual undertones); it has no positive characters; it does not carry a social message (These things by the way are pretty much standard in films these days).
After some cuts, the film was cleared in 2001. However, it could not be released as the producer faced some problems.
Nevertheless a preview copy of the film leaked online in 2010 (the one which i have also uploaded) and can be found on some torrent sites

4 friends (Luke, Murgi, Joy and Pondy) wasted by youth and self destruction play together in a band along with a fifth female member (Shiuli). Luke the lead singer and self-imposed leader of the pack ensures his dominance in the group by providing accommodation, drugs and food for his wasted and broke friends. Pondy is fascinated by Shiuli who sleeps with rich guys for money. The movie revolves around a kidnapping plot gone wrong, in which the 4 male band members plan to kidnap another friend Nikhil. Nikhil is part of the plot and agrees to get himself kidnapped to extract money out of his rich but miser father. In the process excess of drugs and uncontrolled anger leads to the murder of Nikhil by Luke. Luke blackmails all others and ensures that nobody leaves or confides into the cops. Meanwhile Shiuli also gets entangled into the plot. The money hungry youngsters then go on to kill the father of Nikhil and a cop (Sharat Saxena) investigating the murder. The plot thickens with a set of betrayal and counter-betrayal leading to an interesting end.

Lagaan received critical acclaim and awards at international film festivals, as well as many Indian film awards. It became the third Indian film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film after Mother India (1957) and Salaam Bombay! (1988). It was one of the biggest box office hits of 2001. In 2010, the film was ranked No. 55 in Empire magazines "The 100 Best Films of World Cinema"] In 2011, it was listed in Time magazine's special "The All-TIME 25 Best Sports Movies".
The acclaimed soundtrack for the film was composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. There are six songs and two instrumental pieces in this film. Rahman incorporated several music styles and genres to create the soundtrack.
Upon release, the soundtrack became highly popular, with all songs becoming huge hits. It also received high critical acclaim, with many reviewers stating it as a "Magnum Opus" by A. R. Rahman. Plot: The story is set in the middle class home of Madhavan (Prabhu), a budding lawyer, who works for Visu. His retired and irresponsible father Delhi Ganesh is more interested in playing cards than looking for grooms for his two unmarried daughters. Circumstances force Madhavan to marry Abhirami (Abhirami), even before his sisters are wed, a situation quite unthinkable in middle-class homes.
Meanwhile Madhavan's sisters find their match in auto driver, Kuzhandaivelu (Vadivelu), and an unemployed man, Manimaran (Vivek) who claims to have a royal background. Then he conducts the weddings of both his but in the struggle to keep the rest of his family happy, he and Abirami are unable to enjoy even the basic pleasures of married life. How they unite with each other and convince their family about it (sometimes with comical results) forms the rest of the story.
