Hey, what's up guys?
We are going to be doing a workout today that is going to be consisting of explosive type of push-ups and explosive types of squats. Also, with an interesting concept called "conscious breathing" that I will explain in a bit, that will tie everything together and allow a mind-muscle connection to occur.
What I want to talk about before the workout, is talent
..or genetics vs. hard work. We may look at some guys with ripped muscles, and think "oh, they have to have good genetics
..." and others and think "they don't have good genetics..." Well, that's not exactly the case.
I read a book called,
Talent Is
Overrated: What
Really Separates World-Class
Performers from
Everybody Else by
Geoffrey Colvin. And if you go to: http://Audible.com/mike then you can get this book for free.
Check this out: Talent is overrated, it is more about hard work than talent. If you put in the hard work than you can achieve your goals.
Just because someone may have talent, does not mean they are always going to succeed over someone who keeps working hard.
Do you guys want to have a good body? Do some work baby!

Workout Overview:
4
Rounds, 10
Reps Each
-
Explosive Push-Ups
- Explosive Squats
So we are going to be lengthening the chest, then close the muscles back up. Why? Because this will target your full chest, and if you want a big chest, this is how it will grow.
--
Video Breakdown:
7:20 -
Tape a line on the floor
7:25 - Now, put one hand on the ground and find a comfortable space between your hands
7:55 - This allows your chest to be able to expand out. We are going to do a double pump and then explode to the middle. Then come back up.
Repeat.
8:45 - We are going to be doing 10 reps. Then after that, we are going to go into explosive squats.
Similar concept, shortening the muscle and then extending it.
8:57 - I'm going to use the tape markers the same way. Starting position low, as close to parallel as possible.
Hold the squat, two pumps, then explode up.
9:38 - Now, it's very explosive so you are going to need to warm up.
Round 1
10:18 - Explosive Push-Ups
10: 49 - Explosive Squats
Rest - 10
Deep, full breaths (conscious breathing)
Round 2
12:33 - Explosive Push-Ups
14:25 - Explosive Squats
Rest - 10 Deep, full breaths (conscious breathing)
Round 3
15:25 - Explosive Push-Ups
16:46 - Explosive Squats
Rest - 10 Deep, full breaths (conscious breathing)
Round 4
17:42 - Explosive Push-Ups
19:08 - Explosive Squats

That concludes our workout for today. Explosive push-ups and squats, and conscious breathing. Bring the focus to what you are doing. Eliminate all those background thoughts during the workout, and try the conscious breathing anytime.
And remember, don't focus on genetics or talent--it has nothing to do with your success.

I didn't always have the toned body that I have today, and I definitely didn't have a six pack! I didn't workout the right way, I ate bad foods and I had awful sleeping habits. So, as you can image, I was pretty embarrassed to take my shirt off in public and I knew something had to change.
Finally, I was able to see my six pack after I found this one "trick" that is so simple to do. Now I have the muscular, toned body of my dreams and my six pack!
