"Within these pages Sitchin gives us his complete vision of our past. ‘The Lost Book of Enki’ is a work of literature, written in the style of an Akkadian epic poem, and provides us with Sitchin’s version of the original ‘sourcebook’ for the Mesopotamian/Egyptian mythologies. One of the things the gods kept from us was the knowledge of eternal life. Both in a spiritual way and also a physical living, that is free and harmonious and healthy. He was originally patron god of the city of Eridu, but later the influence of his cult spread throughout Mesopotamia and to the Canaanites, Hittites and Hurrians. He was the deity of crafts (gašam); mischief; water, seawater, lakewater (a, aba, ab), intelligence (gestú, literally "ear") and creation (Nudimmud: nu, likeness, dim mud, make bear). He was associated with the southern band of constellations called stars of Ea, but also with the constellation AŠ-IKU, the Field (Square of Pegasus). Beginning around the second millennium BCE, he was sometimes referred to in writing by the numeric ideogram for "40," occasionally referred to as his "sacred number."
A large number of myths about Enki have been collected from many sites, stretching from Southern Iraq to the Levantine coast. He figures in the earliest extant cuneiform inscriptions throughout the region and was prominent from the third millennium down to Hellenistic times.

Plot: The Evil Ones have been trapped in-between the worlds for millennia. They cannot cross the veil that separates our physical world from their realm without help from this side. During a séance, lead by En'Kara, five friends unwittingly open a portal through the veil, which helps the Evil Ones to take possession of humans. Those who are unable to take a host appear as shadow beings, fleeting glimpses unable to manifest physically. Brien follows a shadow being through the veil to a parallel universe. He ends up finding his chase, Enki, who relates to him the philosophy on true nature of the universe. Brien learns that he has been charged with stopping the Evil Ones from crossing over before the number of their entities reaches critical mass, thus bringing down the veil. The possessed Aliester tries one last time to help his brethren cross over the veil. Brien thwarts his efforts by changing reality as he becomes one with the veil. Without the veil, there is no separation of the manifest from the unmanifest; the order of our universe would revert to the chaos before creation.

According to his research, Lucifer is a rogue extraterrestrial who usurped control of planet Earth from his brethren at the dawn of human civilization. This maneuver, Stanley said, led to a civil war within Lucifer's race of ETs and shattered peace accords with other aliens living throughout the galaxy. Meanwhile, Lucifer and his minions created humans as a slave race and purposely kept them ignorant of their celestial origins by deactivating the ET genetic material found within them.
However, Stanley claimed, this alien DNA has begun to slowly reactivate over the last twenty-five years and is due to fully bloom in the not-too-distant future which will awaken the human race to its ET origins. In light of this, he said, the Luciferians have enacted a plan to counteract such a development. "No later than 2022," Stanley contended, "the Gods are going to stage a return to our world and they will present themselves as a savior for mankind."
