Taglines: The Weekend has Landed! You won't know what hit you. No rules. No limits. And no saying "no"... ever!
Quotes:
Jip: I'm sexually paranoid.
Lulu: Take me to a world where the drugs are free, the clubs have no gravity and every shag guarantees an orgasm!
Nina: I can voluntarily perform a fanny fart at all times.
TV interviewer: Why do you come to these nights?::Lulu: I'd like to answer that one if I may.::Nina: Sure.::Lulu: To get absolutely trashed.
Jip: The weekend has landed. All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I've got 48 hours off from the world, man. I'm gonna blow steam out my head like a screaming kettle, I'm gonna talk cod shit to strangers all night, I'm gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freakin', man! Tonight I'm Jip Travolta, I'm Peter Popper, I'm going to never-never land with my chosen family, man. We're gonna get more spaced out than Neil Armstrong ever did, anything could happen tonight, you know? This could be the best night of my life. I've got 73 quid in my back burner - I'm gonna wax the lot, man! The Milky Bars are on me! Yeah!
Moff: I'm making love to the music man. And believe me, I can go all night.
Jip: I'm having a monumental case of "Mr. Floppy".
Koop: [Playing a Jungle Record] This could turn Hare Krishna into a Bad Bwoy!
Moff: [while high] The Emperor... wants to conquer outer space. Yoda... wants to explore inner space.
Jip: We wanna go somewhere else. We're not threatened by people anymore. All our insecurities have evaporated. We're in the clouds now. We're wide open. We're spacemen orbiting the earth. The world looks beautiful from here, man. We're nympholeptics, desiring for the unobtainable. We risk sanity for moments of temporary enlightenment. So many ideas. So little memory. The last thought killed by anticipation of the next. We embrace an overwhelming feeling of love. We flow in unison. We're together. I wish this was real. We want a universal level of togetherness, where we're comfortable with everyone. We're in rhythm. Part of a movement. A movement to escape. We wave goodbye. Ultimately, we just want to be happy. Heh, yeah, hang on, what the fuck was I just talking about?

Although the Inca were the largest pre-Colombian American empire, they lacked a written language
For this reason (lack of census records) estimates of their size has varied ranging from 4 million people to nearly 40 million
The Incas practiced something known as skull deformation. Basically they wrapped cloth around the heads of their kids so that they would elongate.
Some of their kings would only wear their clothes once and then burn them
In spite of the fact that they built over 30,000 km of road, they never developed or discovered the wheel
Mail was delivered along this network of roads by way of messengers who would hand mail off to each other using a sort of relay system
Since there was no writing system the messengers had to memorize the messages!
The Incas introduced the world to potatoes via the Spanish conquistadors
In fact, nearly a quarter of Europe's growth between the 1700s and the 1900s was attributed to the introduction of this crop
The Incas constructed buildings without mortar. Basically the huge stones they used fit together so perfectly and tightly that nothing could get between them.

In the concluding part, Dr Jago Cooper argues that it wasn't simply a clash of arms that destroyed the Inca, but a clash of world views. He travels from Peru to the far north of Inca territory in Ecuador to reveal how the great strengths of the empire suddenly became factors in its rapid demise. The Spanish conquest of the Inca destroyed one of the most remarkable empires in the world, yet the Inca legacy leaves a great deal for modern civilisations to learn from.

Thought to have been exclusively created by the Inca about 500 years ago, there is compelling evidence that Machu Pic'chu was in fact found by the Inca, or at least the core of the city was. The Inca did not have the capability to do the highly precise work in the granite stone of the center of the city, and built their buildings around it. The core is evidence of Lost Ancient High Technology.

The Inca Empire - Documentary
The Inca Empire (Quechua: Tawantinsuyu, lit. "The Four Regions"), also known as the Incan Empire, was the largest empire in pre-Columbian America. The administrative, political, and military center of the empire was located in Cusco in modern-day Peru. The Inca civilization arose from the highlands of Peru sometime in the early 13th century, and the last Inca stronghold was conquered by the Spanish in 1572.
From 1438 to 1533, the Incas used a variety of methods, from conquest to peaceful assimilation, to incorporate a large portion of western South America, centered on the Andean mountain ranges, including, besides Peru, large parts of modern Ecuador, western and south central Bolivia, northwest Argentina, north and central Chile, and a small part of southern Colombia into a state comparable to the historical empires of Eurasia. The official language of the empire was Quechua, although hundreds of local languages and dialects of Quechua were spoken. Many local forms of worship persisted in the empire, most of them concerning local sacred Huacas, but the Inca leadership encouraged the worship of Inti—their sun god—and imposed its sovereignty above other cults such as that of Pachamama. The Incas considered their king, the Sapa Inca, to be the "son of the sun."

Ancient Technology: we will take an in depth look at the anomalies found at the sites, and show that at least one highly advanced technological civilization preceded the Inca. We will compare this with evidence for a highly sophisticated civilization in Egypt, existing prior to the Dynastic Egyptians. Our hosts will discuss the remarkable indications of what is possibly the world’s greatest secret – that a highly advanced civilization with superior intelligence and capabilities once inhabited our planet thousands of years prior to the claims of most academics.

Contrary to popular belief, the Inca weren't easily conquered. It took over 100 years for the Spanish to conquer the Incas, the Spanish did have hundreds of years of military experience of weapon/military development that was a result of hundreds of years of imperialism, warfare and fighting off invaders like other Euro Empires and the Moors, The Inca on the other hand, did go on mini conquest, but did not focus their existence on warfare, Inca's did have a huge military of tens of thousands, but relied mostly on hand to hand combat. The Inca did have advanced metallurgy, but mostly used it to develop tools, jewelry and ornaments. Although the Inca did have weapons of bronze and hardened alloys, most of the Inca weaponry were made of wood and stone that were used for hand to hand combat and/or to capture people rather than kill and conquer. The Inca were in the middle of political problems when the Spanish arrived with the spread of disease put the Inca State at a extreme disadvantage, nether the less, the Inca did go toe to toe with the Spanish in many military battles. The Spanish used all kinds of backstabbing, killing women and children and destroying inter-trade, but the biggest weapon the Spanish had was disease which caused the Inca population of 20 million to drop to a few million.
The social structure of the Inca Empire varied from area to area, but still had the same basic structure, On top was the Sapa Inca, or the emperor. Then came the nobles, these were often the priests and relatives of past emperors or the current ones. After, there were craftsmen and architects, they were very high on the social ladder because of the skill that they had was required by the Empire for such buildings. then came the working class, farmers and laborers that were kept in their social groupings (Some were slaves)
The Inca Empire was a federalist system which consisted of a central government with the Inca at its head and four quarters, or suyu: Chinchay Suyu (NW), Anti Suyu (NE), Kunti Suyu (SW), and Qulla Suyu (SE). The four corners of these quarters met at the center, Cusco. These suyu were likely created around 1460 during the reign of Pachacuti before the empire assumed it largest territorial extent. It is probably the case that at the time the suyu were established they were roughly of equal size and only later changing their proportions as the empire expanded north and south along the Andes.
The Inca state had no separate judiciary or codified set of laws. While customs, expectations, and traditional local power holders did much in the way of governing behavior, the state, too, had legal force, such as through tokoyrikoq (lit. "he who sees all"), or inspectors. The highest such inspector, typically a blood relation to the Sapa Inca, acted independently of the conventional hierarchy, providing a point of view for the Sapa Inca free of bureaucratic influence
wn.com/Inca Empire (Lost Cities Of The Inca)

Seeking land ownership, Japanese farmers began emigrating to Peru in 1899 when the two countries established diplomatic ties. With the intent of recreating Japanese dishes using local ingredients, Nikkei (Japanese descendants abroad) informally created Nikkei cuisine, a fusion popularized worldwide by Nobu Matsuhisa's empire. MUNCHIES flew to the Land of the Incas to interview three very different local and proud Nikkei chefs: Mitsuharu Tsumura (of Maido, a top 15 restaurant in all of Latin America), Toshiro Konishi (of Toshiro's, a favorite amongst Lima's Elite) and Toshi Matsufuji (of Al Toke Pez, a delicious hole-in-the-wall in one of Lima's working-class neighborhoods). Our skilled chefs took time from preparing entrées like ceviche with ponzu, dashi, and tempura seaweed to explain why the flavors of the far-flung nations pair so well.
