Later in the 70s the tune was adopted by 'Queens Park Rangers' Football Team and played as they walked on to the pitch at each home game - Steve being a season ticket holder at the club.

This piano arrangement is by the British composer Andrew Adorian (1908-74), who is perhaps best remembered for his music for the Britsh 1962 Pat Boone movie 'The Main Attraction'. The arrangement comes from a 1962 book 'Lovely to play at...' consisting of modest piano versions of popular songs of the time. Stever Race (1921-2009) sadly died on 22 June 2009, two days after I uploaded this video. He was a British composer (pupil of Harry Farjeon and William Alwyn) and jazz musician. In the UK he was best known as the presenter of a long-running radio ant TV panel game 'My Music'. To find out more about his quite outstanding musical career, see:

This interview takes place mere months before Sony released the PlayStation, their first of a long line of game consoles. Back in 1995, the PlayStation's success was far from a sure thing. Steve Race
Stephen Russell RaceOBE (1 April 1921 – 22 June 2009) was a British composer, pianist and radio and television presenter.
Biography
Born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, the son of a lawyer, Race learned the piano from the age of five. He was educated (1932–37) at Lincoln School, where he formed his first jazz band, which included a young Neville Marriner, later a major figure in the world of classical music. At sixteen, he attended the Royal Academy of Music, studying composition under Harry Farjeon and William Alwyn.
Early career
He joined the Royal Air Force in 1941, and formed a jazz/dance band quintet. After World War II he began a long and productive career with the BBC, where his ready wit, musicianship and broad musical knowledge made him much sought after as a musical accompanist for panel games and magazine shows, such as Whirligig and Many a Slip. In 1949 his jazz group recorded the first British bebop records.
Presenter
From the 1950s to the 1980s he presented countless music programmes on radio and television. Additionally, in 1955, he was appointed the first Light Music Advisor to the early independent television company Associated-Rediffusion. He is probably best known as the chairman of the long-running light-hearted radio and TV panel game My Music from 1967 to 1994. He presented and wrote most of the questions for all 520 episodes broadcast. Away from music, for two years from 1970 Race co-presented (with William Hardcastle) the BBC Radio 4 "drive-time" news magazine PM.

A super- catchy instrumental number composed by Steve Race which was a No.29 UK hit for him back in February 1963. Later in the 70s the tune was adopted by 'Queens Park Rangers' Football Team and played as they walked on to the pitch at each home game - Steve being a season ticket holder at the club.

This piano arrangement is by the British composer Andrew Adorian (1908-74), who is perhaps best remembered for his music for the Britsh 1962 Pat Boone movie 'The Main Attraction'. The arrangement comes from a 1962 book 'Lovely to play at...' consisting of modest piano versions of popular songs of the time. Stever Race (1921-2009) sadly died on 22 June 2009, two days after I uploaded this video. He was a British composer (pupil of Harry Farjeon and William Alwyn) and jazz musician. In the UK he was best known as the presenter of a long-running radio ant TV panel game 'My Music'. RC Express Kawasaki mounted Steve Mercer, joins the Bristol-based team for the TT 2017 having deputised for the injured Lintin at the 2016 Ulster Grand Prix as he recovered from injuries sustained in an incident at Oliver’s Mount. The Kent based racer immediately demonstrated his adaptability on Kawasaki machinery securing eighth and ninth in the two Superbike races as well as setting his best ever lap around the high speed 7.4 mile Dundrod Circuit at a superb 131.423mph. Following a hugely successful 2016 Isle of Man TT with the Jackson Racing Honda team, Mercer displayed great consistency and significantly improved form across the classes with eighth and 11th place finishes in the two Monster Energy Supersport races, where he produced a new personal best lap in the class at 124.392...

In this exclusive interview Steve discusses his TT 2017 preparations with James Whitham as they cover topics like testing sessions, favourite sections of the course, first time experiences and aspirations for the TT races this year.

.....a request from 'wordsmith52'. This track is the flip-side to Steve's 'Ring Ding' (also posted). More orchestra than piano in this one, but instantly recognisable as one of the great instrumentals of the sixties. Both tunes composed by Mr. Race himself. 1962.

A super- catchy instrumental number composed by Steve Race which was a No.29 UK hit for him back in February 1963. Later in the 70s the tune was adopted by 'Queens Park Rangers' Football Team and played as they walked on to the pitch at each home game - Steve being a season ticket holder at the club.

This piano arrangement is by the British composer Andrew Adorian (1908-74), who is perhaps best remembered for his music for the Britsh 1962 Pat Boone movie 'The Main Attraction'. The arrangement comes from a 1962 book 'Lovely to play at...' consisting of modest piano versions of popular songs of the time. Stever Race (1921-2009) sadly died on 22 June 2009, two days after I uploaded this video. He was a British composer (pupil of Harry Farjeon and William Alwyn) and jazz musician. In the UK he was best known as the presenter of a long-running radio ant TV panel game 'My Music'. The arrangement comes from a 1962 book 'Lovely to play at...' consisting of modest piano versions of popular songs of the time. Stever Race (1921-2009) sadly died on 22 June 2009, two days after I uploaded this video. He was a British composer (pupil of Harry Farjeon and William Alwyn) and jazz musician. In the UK he was best known as the presenter of a long-running radio ant TV panel game 'My Music'. To find out more about his quite outstanding musical career, see:
