In 2011, Sally Evans made a devastating discovery - her eldest son, Thomas aged just 21, had left their home in a Buckinghamshire village and travelled to Somalia join a deadly Islamist terrorist group. Thomas had been recruited to Al Shabaab - an Al Qaeda affiliate, it is the jihadi group behind multiple atrocities in Kenya, including the Westgate shopping attack in which nearly 70 people were killed and 175 injured. ‘Thomas Evans is another one of the new wave of producers who I have been excited to work with for some time” says Alan, as the Parisian producer gets ready to release his first EP on We Are The Brave this June with his ‘Because I’m’ EP, said to have blown Alan away when he first heard the tracks last year.
Those familiar with the We Are The Brave roster and its past releases won’t be disappointed here. Thomas delivers three mega chunky original tracks throwing in some slashing percussion, booming deep synth stabs, rigid punctuating kicks and a little acid riff modulating in the closing track ‘Believe’.
“He has a really impressive skill for combining interesting melodic elements with very powerful driving grooves and his tracks sound really fresh. A genuinely exciting talent” adds Alan.

A British man killed while fighting with Islamist militant group al-Shabab in Kenya was second in command of his unit at the time, the BBC has learned. Thomas Evans, 25, from Buckinghamshire, died in the thwarted attack on a military base on 14 June. Police now say he was also the group's cameraman, and captured images of the incident up until his death. Karen Allen reports.

Thomas Evans Jr (5 June 1947 – 19 November 1983) was an English musician and songwriter, most notable for his work with the band Badfinger.
The Iveys
In July 1967, the Iveys (Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths, Mike Gibbins and Dave Jenkins) went to Liverpool at the suggestion of their manager, Bill Collins, to recruit a replacement for Dave Jenkins, their rhythm guitarist and frontman. They discovered Tommy Evans singing with Them Calderstones and invited him to London to audition for the band. He eventually accepted and joined the Iveys in August 1967. His first gig with the Iveys was on 20 August 1967 at the Starlite Ballroom in Crawley.
On 23 July 1968, the Iveys were signed to the Beatles' Apple Records label. Their debut worldwide single release was Maybe Tomorrow, which was a Tom Evans composition, written for his girlfriend in Liverpool, Leslie Sandton, who he used to date when he was a member of Them Calderstones. On 15 November 1968, Maybe Tomorrow b/w an Evans/Ham song And Her Daddy's a Millionaire was released in the UK on Apple 5. The US release date was 27 January 1969 (Apple 1803) and the song peaked at No. 51 on the Cash Box chart and No. 67 on the Billboard chart. In the Netherlands, it reached No. 1. It was also very successful throughout Europe and in Japan. In July 1969, this prompted the release of the Iveys' album Maybe Tomorrow being only released in those countries where the single charted high. The album was released in Japan, Italy and Germany only. The album contained the following Tom Evans compositions: Beautiful and Blue, Fisherman, Maybe Tomorrow and Angelique.

Tom Evans (footballer, born 1907)
Tom Evans (28 November 1907 – 1993) was a professional footballer.
Evans was born in Ton Pentre, and played for Ton Pentre F.C., Leytonstone, Northfleet, Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion.
Playing career
Evans began his career at Welsh club Ton Pentre before joining non league Leytonstone. In 1927 he made the move to Tottenham Hotspur which was to be his first spell at White Hart Lane. Evans joined Spurs nursery club Northfleet United before rejoining the Spurs in 1929. The right half featured in 101 games and scored on four occasions for the club in all competitions. After leaving the Spurs in 1936, Evans ended his career at West Bromwich Albion.

Thomas Eli Evans (February 1896 – after 1926) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Birmingham and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Evans was born in Dudley, which is now in the West Midlands county. He played local football before joining Birmingham during the First World War. When the Football League resumed, Evans made his debut in the Second Division on 27 September 1919, standing in for Joe Roulson at right half in a home game against Huddersfield Town which Birmingham won 4–2. He played five more games during the 1919–20 season, in each case taking Roulson's place at right half either in his absence or while he switched to the left to replace Percy Barton. Unable to establish himself as a first-team player, Evans spent the 1921–22 season in the Third Division South with Brighton & Hove Albion, but played only five games. He then returned to the Black Country where he played for several years in the Birmingham & District League for Cradley Heath.

Those familiar with the We Are The Brave roster and its past releases won’t be disappointed here. Thomas delivers three mega chunky original tracks throwing in some slashing percussion, booming deep synth stabs, rigid punctuating kicks and a little acid riff modulating in the closing track ‘Believe’.
“He has a really impressive skill for combining interesting melodic elements with very powerful driving grooves and his tracks sound really fresh. A genuinely exciting talent” adds Alan.

Thomas Evans, 25, from Buckinghamshire, died in the thwarted attack on a military base on 14 June. Police now say he was also the group's cameraman, and captured images of the incident up until his death. Karen Allen reports.

Thomas had been recruited to Al Shabaab - an Al Qaeda affiliate, it is the jihadi group behind multiple atrocities in Kenya, including the Westgate shopping attack in which nearly 70 people were killed and 175 injured. Thomas became the only known white British man to join the terror group.
This powerful film documents the daily struggle Sally and her youngest son, Micheal face as they try to reconcile the Thomas they knew - a loving mild-mannered ‘normal teenage lad’ with Abdul Hakim, the jihad-preaching Islamist he has become.

Summer is coming, and We Are The Brave have a whole list of stacked releases for you to sink your teeth into! After a mega successful 2017 with some absolute essential dancefloor tracks from Alan’s ‘We Do What We Want’ to Gary Beck’s “Just One More”, we also saw releases from Darius Syrossian, Skober, Boxia, Reset Robot and of course the legendary Sasha. Combined with the sold out ‘Alan Fitzpatrick’s Day’ in March, the label proves its fallen firmly on its feet, as a major player in underground music, in both the UK and beyond.
Many new names have joined the family of the brave, including Leonardo, Kevin De Vries and Frankyeffe, along with Alan starting up his brand new We Are The Brave radio – fans have a lot to look forward to this year, so stay tuned.
‘Thomas Evans is another one of the new wave of producers who I have been excited to work with for some time” says Alan, as the Parisian producer gets ready to release his first EP on We Are The Brave this June with his ‘Because I’m’ EP, said to have blown Alan away when he first heard the tracks last year.
Those familiar with the We Are The Brave roster and its past releases won’t be disappointed here. Thomas delivers three mega chunky original tracks throwing in some slashing percussion, booming deep synth stabs, rigid punctuating kicks and a little acid riff modulating in the closing track ‘Believe’.
“He has a really impressive skill for combining interesting melodic elements with very powerful driving grooves and his tracks sound really fresh. A genuinely exciting talent” adds Alan.
Its big, powerful, progressive techno at its finest.

A British man killed while fighting with Islamist militant group al-Shabab in Kenya was second in command of his unit at the time, the BBC has learned. Thomas Evans, 25, from Buckinghamshire, died in the thwarted attack on a military base on 14 June. Police now say he was also the group's cameraman, and captured images of the incident up until his death. Karen Allen reports.

Tom Evans (musician)
Thomas Evans Jr (5 June 1947 – 19 November 1983) was an English musician and songwriter, most notable for his work with the band Badfinger.
The Iveys
In July 1967, the Iveys (Pete Ham, Ron Griffiths, Mike Gibbins and Dave Jenkins) went to Liverpool at the suggestion of their manager, Bill Collins, to recruit a replacement for Dave Jenkins, their rhythm guitarist and frontman. They discovered Tommy Evans singing with Them Calderstones and invited him to London to audition for the band. He eventually accepted and joined the Iveys in August 1967. His first gig with the Iveys was on 20 August 1967 at the Starlite Ballroom in Crawley.
On 23 July 1968, the Iveys were signed to the Beatles' Apple Records label. Their debut worldwide single release was Maybe Tomorrow, which was a Tom Evans composition, written for his girlfriend in Liverpool, Leslie Sandton, who he used to date when he was a member of Them Calderstones. On 15 November 1968, Maybe Tomorrow b/w an Evans/Ham song And Her Daddy's a Millionaire was released in the UK on Apple 5. The US release date was 27 January 1969 (Apple 1803) and the song peaked at No. 51 on the Cash Box chart and No. 67 on the Billboard chart. In the Netherlands, it reached No. 1. It was also very successful throughout Europe and in Japan. In July 1969, this prompted the release of the Iveys' album Maybe Tomorrow being only released in those countries where the single charted high. The album was released in Japan, Italy and Germany only. The album contained the following Tom Evans compositions: Beautiful and Blue, Fisherman, Maybe Tomorrow and Angelique.
