GENEVA-MINSK PART ONE It is Time to Say Goodbye ! The days of Belavia's Tupolev 154 are numbered. This beautiful aircraft is in the process of being phased out and replaced by Western aircraft. The last TU-154M is scheduled to leave the fleet of Belavia in 2016, most likely after the special charter flight from Minsk to Pyöngyang in May 2016. After a successful enthusiast event of Belavia's TU-154 in Warsaw in 2014, this flight marks the official end of Belavia's TU-154 operation to the Western Hemisphere. We were greated by georgous weather and beautiful clear skies in Geneva. This farewell event received a remarkable echo in the Belarus and foreign media. Two clips of the Belarisian media coverage have been included into each video documentation. My inflight documentation is intended to present the viewer an inside view of what it is like to fly a Russian Classic Airliner in 2015. The crews onboard Belavia have been remarkably patient and understanding towards us - the aviation maniacs - a rather difficult and noisy clientel. Besides Balkan Bulgarian Airlines and Hemus Air I have never experienced such an enthusiastic and customer minded crew before. Thank you !!
